I for one am not a fan of jazz, but I respect all jazz musicians and understand what they’re doing in their creativity and expression.. which leads me to being a HUGE Coltrane fan, especially Coltrane for lovers album. Something about the whole vibe of that collection of songs.. there’s nothing else like it. I used to look for bands that were covering Coltrane full albums live (if it’s not done, it would be a great idea!) This cover is incredible! I grew up playing the blues and then metal and hard rock and everything in between. But never had to urge to play jazz.. I just enjoy hearing it as enoug.
I really don't think there are enough superlatives to describe this man's playing. I just came across this channel the other day. I've already gone through ALL the videos. All these cats are smoothe! And take a look at the room. It's cinder block!! That sound in that room?? Off the charts!
In HS band I played an old donated tenor sax. The lacquer was faded, pads dry and cracked, had a crappy mouthpiece. Had almost no dents though, and it had such an amazing sound... I loved it. Being a super amateur I had no idea until I asked my friend later on the did some research... Older King instrument, really wish I could have kept it. Was the first tenor sax I really ever played laying around a band room in AL somewhere You sir, just played one of the nicest pieces I've heard in a long time
This guy, Stu is a monster player and owns the best sax shop in the UK. So many top dudes go to him for there horns. Its scary as to how many horns he has.
I could listen to you play all day; your playing and sound are everything I love in hearing a saxophone playing a ballad. More please! Thanks for the sharing.

I play this tune on my clavinova , I can use a tenor sax or a mellow trombone, with chords onthe piano or quartet in the background. You can use any instrument with any tune . So Much Fun .

Very nice mate!! I just bought a 1949 King super 20 and I find this horn absolutely fantastic! That said I have to get used to it! It's different to the Selmer Mark VI that I've played for 15 years!! But the sound of the King is crazy!!!! Btw what's your setup? Thank you!!!

he could play on your gutters with holes in them and still make a fab sound. 1 hell of a saxophone player.
Good lord I miss my King Tenor. That tone is so unmistakable and smooth. That sax needed a cigarette after that.
So glad I found this tune....... I play it on a regular basis. I feel bad for people who haven't let jazz into their hearts yet.
