he could play on your gutters with holes in them and still make a fab sound. 1 hell of a saxophone player.
Good lord I miss my King Tenor. That tone is so unmistakable and smooth. That sax needed a cigarette after that.
So glad I found this tune....... I play it on a regular basis. I feel bad for people who haven't let jazz into their hearts yet.

I really don't think there are enough superlatives to describe this man's playing. I just came across this channel the other day. I've already gone through ALL the videos. All these cats are smoothe! And take a look at the room. It's cinder block!! That sound in that room?? Off the charts!

In HS band I played an old donated tenor sax. The lacquer was faded, pads dry and cracked, had a crappy mouthpiece. Had almost no dents though, and it had such an amazing sound... I loved it. Being a super amateur I had no idea until I asked my friend later on the did some research... Older King instrument, really wish I could have kept it. Was the first tenor sax I really ever played laying around a band room in AL somewhere

I play this tune on my clavinova , I can use a tenor sax or a mellow trombone, with chords onthe piano or quartet in the background. You can use any instrument with any tune . So Much Fun .

So great is Stuart's "balladization" of this adorable tune that I momentarily have thought that I have been listening to Nino Tempo or Stan Getz.

Super soft meets very edgy to produce a lovely sound. Takes years to get this good. This is so good you’re unlikely to come close. Hats off. But the song isthe thing. I’ll never be a good player but I play this song. Think about the words.

Very nice mate!! I just bought a 1949 King super 20 and I find this horn absolutely fantastic! That said I have to get used to it! It's different to the Selmer Mark VI that I've played for 15 years!! But the sound of the King is crazy!!!! Btw what's your setup? Thank you!!!

Me to.. I had access for one month, a borrowed. Super 20. After playing it, my BUESCHER Aristocrat was ok, but felt a little awkward. The Super 20 was fast, full and light, all at the same time.

I wish I could find My King supersonic 20 made in 1930's or 40's I lost it in a bad pawn deal in colonial heights va back in 1994. I get sick when I think about it I got it when i was 10yrs old my dad bought it from David Spain a sax player from The Untouchables Band. its chrome on the outside brass on inside with brass keys the bell is bent from travel's
