- The Cradle is the third piece from Kristine Warmhold's harp suite, "To The Sea." The peaceful rocking of the waves is the sailor's favorite lullaby. But he doesn't notice the change in the weather, the signs of an approaching storm, until it is too late. The ship begins to sink in the raging whirlpool and the sea becomes an eternal cradle for him.

Miriam hopes to #SpreadSomeJoy with her music. Thanks for stopping by Miriam’s Music Room!
Oh my gosh! I could listen to this all day ❤
That is so nice to hear! Thank you.
Thank you for another wonderful performance, and for including us in the explanation behind the music.
I’m so happy you enjoy the story too. It really helps me understand how I want to play it.
Miriam, I am crying. You played it soooo beautifully! Your timing and interpretation is outstanding, I notice, you are absolutely deep in this music. Goosebumps here. Thank you so much for sharing my music ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I’m so so happy you are enjoying the way I play your music! 🎵 It’s a great honor to share it with others 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Quite lovely!
Thank you! ❤️
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 !!!
Thank you! 💓🎵
Well played, Miriam! You captured the rocking rhythms of the sea quite well. The subject matter of this piece reminds me of the hymn "Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep," by Emma Willard, which she wrote during a sea voyage.
Thank you so much! Now I'm going to look up that song you mentioned.
Despite the ominous backstory, you played this well and wistfully. Thanks for giving us hope with the ending narration. I think this changes from a major to a minor key near the end.
Thanks for listening and noticing that shift from major to minor. Stay tuned for next week’s part of the story!
Well done Miriam! I’m going to echo @kristinewarmhold ‘s comment. You owned this performance 🎉❤. Both Clara and I love watching your videos. I’ve put the phrase “Miriam’s Music Room” on her talker and despite it being right between buttons for “Bluey” and “Ms. Rachel” I have been hearing a lot more “Miriam’s Music Room” than either of the other two!😂 (That is extremely high praise from a non-verbal 4-year-old!!)
Blessings to you and please know that you most definitely are spreading joy to the home of this tiny musician! ❤❤
Hello to Clara!!! Thank you so so much 🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺💜🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺. I hope she having fun playing along with me to @kristinewarmhold ‘s music. This is the same composer I shared with you that has music for tiny harps like Clara’s.
