Muscade (harp)

I am so excited to share with you a collection of unique pieces for the harp. Over the next several weeks I'll share a spicy song and a recipe that features that spice. "Muscade" translates to Nutmeg. It is the first piece in Bernard Andres' collection of Espices for harp. Each solo highlights a spice and also the harp's ability to add distinctive harmonies and rhythms.
"Muscade" comes from Espices, Volume 1. The sheet music can be found here: www.harp.com/product/epices-vol-1/
Nutmeg is a spice traditional used in baking, but my favorite recipe with nutmeg is Butternut Squash Soup. The recipe says to roast cubes of butternut squash. St. Kilda is a Suburb of Melbourne the Capitol of Victoria Australia home to a football team called the St.kilda Saints. There is another called the Collingwood magpies (another Suburb of the same city ) I cared for an orphaned baby magpie ( A kind of bird ) called Eddie after Eddie Macguire who owned that team.

Absolutely lovely! I always dreamt of playing the harp, ever since I was a little kid. Now in my mid forties, finally I am blessed with the time and the Instruments. It makes me so glad to see someone your age to be able to play this wonderful instrument! Keep it up! 👍🏻👍🏻

@@MiriamsMusicRoom It is I have been there for my birthday a few times over the years. my favorite holiday spot when I was your age is a park where mother turtles lay eggs. But the trailer park closed but reopened (New owners have it now) but you still can't get into the turtle par you got to book cos fire safety .
