@@user-uy8iy5nh1j All the transparency touted by the government - as previously by the rf - in relation to this law is just a smokescreen: once a government has a mechanism (and a rhetoric) for designating an organisation a "foreign agent", the only step left is to penalise, discredit or outlaw "foreign agents" to disempower anyone posing a challenge to the status quo.
Organisations pushing for progressive change are forced to seek and accept foreign funding in countries whose government isn't interested in progressive change. This law is something that putin is demanding from countries in its orbit, to keep them down and to check how much sway he still holds in the various former (and soon to be again) colonies.

The Georgian people have not forgiven Russia for its invasion and now they no longer fear Russia because they are doing so badly against Ukraine. What Putin has managed to do is to have destroyed the myth that the russian military is mighty and to be feared. They are in fact rubbish.

The difference is that any legal system write specific laws that work in cunjunction with it's existing legal basis. Well it is good to know Molotov cocktails are considered peaceful protesting now. I don't generally have an issue with people protesting, though non-violent means are always better at winning the support of the wider world. But when you're fed up, you're fed up. It's not my place to say what is considered going too far in this case, I don't come from Georgia.
Maybe your reporting should match the visuals though. It's ok to say that violence broke out against the police. We're grown up enough to understand that the people of Georgia don't want this law and are willing to fight for their liberty, even if the protesters started the escalation of violence.
Truthfulness is always more important than optics if you wish to be taken seriously. Just an observation, most of the time you do a good job reporting on important issues and events. Just stick the landing.
