For a guy who ended an engagement, I could tell you that most of the mentioned problems should be openly discussed and solved before tying the knot. Financial, lifestyle, house-rules, where to live, individual goal, how to raise the kids, the in-laws involvement, etc. need and have to be agreeable on both side before walking down the aisle. NEVER choose the romantic BS concept of how getting married first then we could learn about each other along the way. That's how people built annoyance, resentment, anger, and hatred.

I'm a single guy who's fortunate to have parents who have been married for 40 years. I still watch this video so I can know what mistakes NOT to make with my future fiancé/wife. If I'm going to marry, I want to do it once (unless, God forbid, death does us part).

In other words...marriage is a ton of work and it’s near impossible to keep everyone happy especially as time goes on. People are living a lot longer these days. Even just up until 100 or so years ago people were married until their 40s or 50s or so when they passed.

Two people together are differences combined no matter how you look at it you two are different and some differences will always be different and not compliment one another. Compromise and change for better or suffer in coexistence uncomfortably and separate or learn to be who they want you to be unhappily and lose yourself. Change your individualism for the better of the team or be parted.

Look man I will offer my personal experience with my first wife. She wasn't the one. I tried with every inch of me to push myself on her but the guy she had her first kid (she got milfed) with had her heart and therefore she wasn't capable to see how much I genuinely loved her.
I share this with you in retrospect of what happened but i dont know enough about what your chics problem is only you do. Figure out what hee hang up is i.e., immaturity, love sick (previous boyfriend(s)), or just not interested he built in you.

But when i see women divorcing for silly reasons like , im getting bored , he has lost his job , he is not giving me attention , we are not having kids , lol . Some women marry just because a guy asked. I always feel like you should marry a person you can't live without. You have an argument and can't live without. You broke up and came back, can't live without. You think about this person even if your with someone else, can't live without. No matter what happens at the end, you can't live without. Hey, so me and my boyfriend have a really strong bond for like 2 years now. But I had to move out of the country and we live in two different continents now. Our goals are different, our curriculum is different, nothing matches anymore.
I had earlier figured that our plans for uni coincide, but it was either tentative or biased (because I told him about my uni plans). But today, I was shocked by a long text he sent, that he had some sort of epiphany about "university life and the upcoming post-Corona-pandemic-visa-issues" that us, the international students will be facing. And he literally asked me if I'm ever planning to come back or not, which hit me like a spear. I cant even lie I have no plan to go back, we literally are planning to settle abroad.
But..also I cant lie to him to keep it going for nothing. Then again I really love him and want him man, he said he wants that too. But this plan wouldn't be healthy for him the way it is for me.

Long distance especially in love is very difficult but life is simple, if he is your home your forever (you can't/don't want to imagine life without him) (need him to live), than nothing is worth losing him. You need to first understand yourself, how you feel and what you want, a place is just a place but the right one can become your home. When you know what you want you need to be honest and vulnerable, don't ever allow your story to be one of regret because where one lives does not matter so long as you are with the person who makes life worth living.

Hmm I think you should love him not only with your heart but with your head meaning you apply wisdom in this situation and move on it looks to me as if this will become a problem in the future like the one in the video. If you think you guys are going to be separated for a long time because of the differences in goal then I think you guys should break up. You will find someone who will equally love you as much as he does and you will be able to focus on your goals and become a better person. We ladies give up a lot for our relationship and we end up getting very hurt.

Half of all marriages end in divorce. Half. You would be a complete idiot to not have a prenuptial agreement. I filed for divorce twice from my 2 cheating wives. Once at age 26 and again at 49. Me, being male, got nothing, nada, zilch (so much for equal rights). The clothes on my back. At 26 you are young-pretty easy to start over again. At 49, not so much. It's a lot harder when you meet someone and tell them that you have nothing to your name because of a divorce. Luckily I met someone that didn't care about my financial standing. I've moved around like a homeless person and it taken me 4 years to replace everything my ex took from me ( dishes, glasses,silverware,furniture etc) sans a house. I've since gotten remarried. With a prenup this time. Whats' mine is mine and what's ours is 1/2 mine. ONLY WAY to go.

I cringed when I heard the word as concept "divorce" and reason, including myself, are reluctant to marry for not falling into possible divorce scenarios. God has something to do with this and wondering if the honesty will come out on this and not keep it hidden like its been done with people's financial education. . .
A divorce can really hurt you financially a divorce can result in you losing your home if your the one who signed the lease and can result in you having your bank accounts levied as well as result in losing your social security benefits and all of your hard earned money you can even lose your drivers license and your car and your job and your business if you file for a divorce you can even lose custody of your kids and lose everything if you file for a divorce a divorce can even land you in prison as well and if your parents are still alive you are forced to move back into your parents home if you file for a divorce but if your parents are no longer alive you will become homeless if you file for a divorce a divorce can also ruin your credit score for several years and also if you file for a divorce you will end up having to pay child support if you have kids also you will end up having to file for bankruptcy if you file for a divorce too

If you have a job or the job in the marriage you need a separate bank account. This is a modern fact. Have a shared account that you both move money into each pay cycle is what you share. Sorry to tell you this if your partner is going to divorce you they will go into sneak mode and you will not see it coming. So much for feeling married or even in love. Divorce does not need to make sense to happen. It is like they can be so strategic and plan it all like a genius only to get what will harm them when they get it. So smart to get something so dumb.

These are the exact reasons I chose divorce after 17 years. Also I was alone a lot. He didn’t seem to make plans to do anything with me and was not listening to me if I wanted to spend time together. Communication was lacking. His boss came first. Respect authority was what he was taught.

As a woman I don’t think there is anything wrong with having separate bank accounts but I’ll say that it is essential both parties are fully involved in the financial aspect of the family. That’s why I don’t like the idea of a woman not having any source of income. Women should learn to invest too and this is can be done at the comfort of their homes.
