Enjoyed the review. Need to start adding Ev efficiency numbers to your stats, like mpge and or miles/kwh. Just like gas cars it's good to know how efficient these EVs are, especially for their class.
Redline - the Porsche Taycan 4S is really CRAPPY. VW has no confidence in Porsche anymore and SOLD it off. AUDI will be NEXT . the TESLA model S PLAID represents BEST in class LUX Performance car.
My favorite EV hands down. High quality, excellent tech, and beautiful inside and out. But man, you gotta be quite wealthy to afford one of these. That MRSP is no joke.
@@chigasaki06 they have depreciated quite a lot in past models. however, i’m not so sure this will always be the case. these are really high quality automobiles from an engineering, performance, materials, build standpoint, and its only the immature EV tech that has accelerated and amplified their depreciation. i think these newer Taycan models with the newer tech are going to hold their value even better than past models.
@@quantx6572 All EVs are gonna depreciate badly, battery tech is still in it's infancy and will improve year on year and Porsche (and every EV manufacturer) no longer can wait 3-4 years for it's facelift to update the car to stay relevant, the EV market is extremely competitive and consumers want the best tech immediately. Proof of this can be seen in the 1st gen Taycan, over it's last 4 years, it's received multiple updates to improve the car, little by little. All EV cars are going to depreciate because nobody will want to own one after it's 3rd or 4th year. It's nothing exclusive to Porsche, just look around.

I grew up poor so I can’t justify paying full price when a year from now, will be priced at $90k. Huge upgrade this year. The upgrade that I was really hoping would come to the Taycan. But will wait till next year to get it. Thank you!!
This is my dream car that I’m finally getting this summer! Backseat space for adults is overrated lol! I’m a soon to be parent. Those back seats are mainly for car seats. With that said, there is plenty room for adults when you have family in town. We actually have an SUV for all that though.
Sofyan, another superb video by you. Lots of information presented in a very interesting way. Looking forward to your next two 2025 Taycan videos over the next few weeks. As to the Taycan, Porsche with the 2025 Taycan’s major range increase, even faster charging, and other strong improvements, kept the gorgeous Taycan leading the EV sports car field, for we never forget the pre-imminent Porsche handling and steering too. Thanks Redline Reviews!!! Very well done
The price is ridiculous and it's also way too early into EVs to say Porsche "perfected" it. Wait until we get at least 10-15 years into doing this. It's only just begun. Battery tech still needs to undergo 2-3 gens of improvements.
recently bought a Audi a3 e tron hybrid from 2019. amazing daily driver. But im defently upgrading to a porsche taycan in 1-2 years. it is stunning & adapting to a EV would be beneficial. Great review.
Just alil note... PDLS+ is so fancy it doesnt need extra lights for fog. There is a fog light setting on the light dial and the PDLS+ do it all just like oldschool lights. In addition it will light up the rear bright, and side markers to dim for increased visibility.
Tough sale at that price. I can understand a 911 being priced similarly because a 911 will always be a 911 but in the case of EV’s they do have a lifespan of desirability and lose it as the technology becomes dated (and please don’t bring up the original Tesla Roadster, that’s different). We already have seen the plummeting prices of the current Taycan… 🤷🏻♂️ Gorgeous car IMO though
Looked like a huge panel gap to the right of the trunk. Could have been camera angle but looked like about a 1/2 inch gap. Agree with many other comments the price is ridiculous.
Idk about the 25' Taycan 4s, but from everything I've seen the 2022 Taycan GTS reaches all these milestones and you can find them with low mileage for less than 90k in most cases (just saying)
Porsche is offering 175k msrp on this car . Does this car fly , goes 1k miles on full charge or its a special edition coz VW is offering 2 speed auto instead of 1 speed auto from audi e tron ?
The Tycan was good from the start. But the range, compared to what Tesla and Lucid could do, was just not there. Especially since this one is way more expensive. It has much better performance than its competitors, but that was not enough based on price. Now that it has better range, and it is still the performance king, it is a more compelling package. The outside looks great still, if a bit less futuristic. A beauty!
Looking to get one when it goes under 100k. AT THIS MSRP YOU CAN POTENTIALLY GET A GT3. in what world would anyone choose that over an EV and this at that
Guys! Pick up a used turbo GTS for 45-50% off! I saw one last week for $75k! Still to much for my budget! I can get a 2023 Tesla 3 performance used with 23k miles for $30k🤙🏽
yeah the headlights are no longer cut into the front, but are flat, losing that depth. They also got rid of the tear drop on the 4s and base model. It's raised higher aswell with the body more straight up rather than diagonally facing down. Basically a Panamera now. Definitely doesn't look like the exotic supercarish it used to before.
That’s the Porsche way. It’s like they slap on some stickers on a 911, call it a limited special edition and charge $125k more. Only Porsche can get away from that.
If it was 30k instead of 175k, we can discuss...but I know I aint buying no luxury ev with 30k. Maybe a chevy bolt at best, not even a tesla those things go for 50-60k already
$50K+ in options on a $118K auto is beyond ridiculous-just not smart at all. Could have gotten the Turbo version for that amount and probably received the best options as standard equipment. Most of these personalized options will not translate to $$ on resale. This car will be worth $80K or less in 2 years.
You hardly get any extra "free" options on the Turbo compared to the non-Turbo variants. Also, who cares after two years? Just drive the car for five or more years. I don't understand why people feel the need to sell their brand-new car after two years or expect it to hold its value. It's a depreciating asset, not an investment. XD
That costs almost as much as my first house. Which I sold for a 60k profit after 5 years. Doubt that’ll happen on this. I’m trying to figure out if they just like only selling 4k vehicles per year?
