👋perfect! I'm heading to Alabama first week of April to help my friend after the tornado ripped through their property. They have two adult Great Danes that have been sequestered in their downstairs basement. Her husband is very ill and is unable to walk so I'm going to do what needs to be done to help a little. I plan to build a dog run exactly like this so the dogs have access to the outdoors and some grass and yet safe. I'm also going to look for some heavy gauge garden blanket material to post up from the roofline down to the fence to provide shade from the heat. Your video could not have shown up to me at a better time. thanks for showing it😊

How big is your dog, I have 2 that are about 89lbs and one that is 6lbs. I am trying to find something to put up where my big one will stop attacking the fence between my house and the neighbors, she has slammed her head through the slats and I know my neighbors don't like it.

    • @littleaboutalot7478

Yeah. Mine is 45lbs. You might need to add some 2x4s across your fence panels for added strength and security.

Ah yeah this won't work in my yard. This might be no dig for you, but it wouldn't be for me. I can't pound any kind of stake into the ground more than three or four inches before I hit rock. Doesn't matter where or how deep i dig in my 1.5 acre yard, it's all freaking rock. I hate it.
I spent 30 grand on a fence last year after buying this house and moving cross country. Then my dumb ass got a german sheperd puppy. Neediest freaking animal ever. When i don't play with him or walk him, he destroys everything in the yard. He's tore siding off my house. He tore out an electrical box that sits out in the yard. He pulls out my blackberry and raspberry plants. He tears out my mini fences around my garden beds and air conditioner. He spulls out my onions and eats my sunflowers.
Now I want to fence off a smaller part of the yard for him so he can't get to all my important stuff.

The part we are trying to extend is from the house door to edge of garage where fenced in area starts, and that area is all concrete driveway. Thanks!

Gabe, depends on where you live; depends on whether you use pine or cedar. Even treated wood doesn’t last like it used too so I’m going with 12’ cedar boards cut down since mine will be permanent, right now cedar boards are on sale for $17.00 each. I only need to replace 50 ft so it won’t cost too much. Better than paying $2-3000.00 which is wha I was quoted by 2 different ppl.
