Finally, ppl build using hog wire the right way by insetting the panels! Looks very nice, appropriate for that area because you don’t lose any view and the red wood fits the surroundings perfectly.

What is the gap or the cut out size on those 2x4s? where the metal mesh sits in? Also, if you don't mide, what is the gauge for the wired panel and overall dimentions? thx

The groove is cut in the center of the 2x4s and it 3/8” wide and 3/8” deep. This sizing depends on the material your sliding in the groove, but since our fencing was 1/4” thick, the 3/8” allowed enough space to slide it in and gave some clearance for the wood swelling
