    Hopefully this is a permanent fix for you! I'm fighting a P0420 as well. I just bought this car too 😢. The O2s are my last easy and cheap try before it's a converter replacement.

      The code went away so I’m hoping that fixed the problem plus I didn’t get any signal from the old oxygen sensors. What’s the mileage on your car? I’ll be damn if I have to replace catalytic converters at 72k miles 😂

      Mine is at 140k miles. These things should last 200k+ as long as they don't have a severe running issue, like misfire or burning oil. Mine is running perfect other than this light. My o2s are reading, but bank 1 is erratic. If your light stays off for 50 or so miles, your probably good.

    Nice video, has the code come back on? Did these fix the issue? I’ve got a 2007 GS350 code p0430 that comes and goes. No change in performance or gas mileage either and no exhaust leaks.

    I change bank 1 sensor 2 about 6 months back with oem parts and the car just gave me a check engine again on bank 1 sensor 2 , would you know the reason ?

      Check for exhaust leaks. What’s the mileage on your car? Catalytic converters might be bad or clogged.

      I don’t hear any leaks , the car does have 225,000 but I maintain the hell out of it , I will check that ,I did a y pipe about 2 years ago but I will check anyways

      I hope not , I’m going to take a shot and replace the o2 sensor again it’s been a year who knows maybe premature failure, I’m pretty good with maintenance been in the car game for many years but it’s now that I’m getting into Lexus , I have always been and Acura Honda guy and did all my own work .. but yeah I done a lot to this car you would think it’s got 40.000 miles and actually I got it for my daughter at around 200k and it was sitting. For about 2-3 years because of the Covid pandemic and was always maintained by Lexus by owner with Lexus records .. will see how it goes after the new sensor again

      @@BonaRasmey No don’t it. It’s not necessary. You don’t need to change the 02 sensors as long as they are working.

      @@umartoad6751 Bank sensor 2 and sensor 2 are the same oxygen sensors. Part #89465-30730. Make sure to order them from Lexus because there’s a lot of counterfeit parts out there.

    Can you share a link we’re you got the RH driver sensor ,I believe is the same for my 2006 is250 .. I have code p0138 Showing high voltage car runs fine and I cleared the code and it came back again

      There’s no link really but the part numbers are 89405-30730. It should work for 2006 as well.

    I just replaced mine the same way you did but I haven’t plugged in the drivers side because it’s dark out now, anyways I turned on my car so i can move it but it did like a half turn on then just killed the revs but the lights stayed on, I press the start again and it works perfectly the second time. I kept turning it on and off and the same thing kept happening, did I do something wrong? This is the first time this has happened

      It probably did that because you didn’t plug the driver side. The car will act weird if one of the 02 sensors is unplugged.

      Your 02 sensors might be clogged but check for exhaust leaks first. Try replacing the 02 sensors if there’s no leaks.

    Good video. I have an 08 IS250 it has started vibrating on idle, revs are now at 500rpm could it the O2 sensors causing this?

      Thank you. Check for exhaust leaks, PCV valve, and mass air flow sensor before you spend money on 02 sensors. You might have a clogged pvc valve, mass air flow sensor or exhaust leaks. What’s the mileage on your car?

      I bought it off Amazon. I did use an extension socket. As you saw in the video, I paired it with my extension socket wrench so it could be long enough.

      There are no bank 3 and 4. There’s upstream bank 1 and 2 and downstream bank 1 and 2.

    My O2 sensor is very long and my replacement is short, what do I do?

      I think you bought the wrong 02 sensor. The short 02 sensors go to the catalytic converter headers which are underneath of the engine. The long 02 sensors go to your midpipe which are the ones I replaced in the video.

    I’m having problems with my O2 sensors for the 3rd time. Something is wrong with Lexus sensors…I’m very frustrated.

      Check if you have a leak somewhere in your exhaust system. Exhaust leak will throw 02 sensors codes. Take it to a shop and have them check it for exhaust leak.

      Try retreading the oxygen sensor socket if you haven't before. There is a nut u can purchase for about 20 USD that can retread

    Did the check engine light clear after the drive?

      Check engine light went away when I started the car. I drove it around for about 30 minutes than I tested the 02 sensors and cleared the history code.

      @@CHAISOICY The code will go away from when you install the new ones, but you can completely clear it out from the vehicle code history if you have the tool to do so. Like techstream or OBD scanner. It’s not something you have to worry about.

      @@SlowWhip after letting my car sit for a couple days and then driving it around for a lil bit the engine light vsc light and traction lights went away, I did notice some vibrations in the steering wheel and pedals, it’s all gone. Does Lexus just fix it self??? LMAO

    Wait so I'm getting P0157 and P0158 code for my lexus IS250? is that for these sensors or the ones in the front? (under the hood ones). Please if anyone knows?

      They should be the same 02 sensors that I replaced but different codes. I suggest to take your car to your local auto store or shops and have them test all 4 oxygen sensors. You should check for exhaust leaks as well.

    i dont think this applies to ISF because of v8. so i think it is flipped bank 1 sensor 1 on driver side.

      IS-F has the same system as IS350/250 even though it has a V8. Bank 1 is the passenger side and bank 2 is the driver.

    Does anyone know how to replace the O2 sensor in Bank 1 Sensor 2 and how to reset the codes without going to the dealer if possible

      Sensor 2 is connected to the catalyst converter so you have to remove it under the hood by the engine. Plus you can go to auto store and have them clear the code for you.

      @@nashfuller4642 nope still haven’t been able to. I found a video on a 2016 300is that shows how to change some O2 sensors that might help. Haven’t had time to actually go out and check it. My check engine light keeps turning on and off so idk if to replace it at this point or not.

      P0420 can bad catalyst converter, exhaust leaks, or 02 sensors. Mine was for 02 sensors then I found out I have a leak as well. Have a nice day as well

      This code is ECM “Engine Control Module" it can be exhaust leak, bad 02 sensors, or faulty ECM. I would check for exhaust leak and 02 sensors first if I were you.

      @@SlowWhip the car has a catback exhaust so I think it might be from a bad weld? Possible o2 sensors, I also saw that it can be a bad battery/ alternator Hopfully no ecm damages cause right now a lot of rain fall

    Noice video OP alls i can say is, if I'd made this video they'd have to bleep out a few hundred swear words. Also I sincerely hope you slathered the goody with anti sieze before reinstalling/AND soak the old O2 sensor with kroil for sveral DAYS before trying to remove her - the exhaust system invariably does a first-class job welding that #@#%% O2 sensor in place which we only find out when we are there to replace the Got-damn thing that is -

    dang i feel dumb for letting the dealer do this. I love them for the more difficult jobs I can't do with hand tools at home, but sheeeet they made money for suree🤦‍♂

      @@SlowWhip I bought the same oxygen sensor that you have in the video and it doesn't work. It's too big and just spins when trying to turn it

      @@fartbreath2884 Are you sure you bought the right oxygen sensors? Because when I bought them, it said they fit all IS250/350/ISF. Unless you accidentally bought the ones that go on the catalytic converters
