You have made life so much easier for us 70 YO's! We followed your video from start to finish and paused after each step! If it wasn't for you and your thorough instructions, I don't know what we'd do! Thank you!
thank you so much for taking the extra effort to provide this for others - we are 60 yrs old and not in great physical condition and we would not have been able to assemble this without you - we are so appreciative
I have watched several of these videos for assembling the Arrow sheds and yours is the best, most complete, clearest and easiest to understand. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for this video. I'm 65 years old and the instructions scared the baloney out of me. Your video was helpful in so many ways. I watched over and over. My shed is only 8 X 10 but the principal is the same.
Thanks! I got mine about 5 months ago and the box has sat outside. I finally had the time to do it. Now my numbers have washed off the roof panels. Good times!
Thank you for making this video! I wished I had it before I started building mine (10x14)! The manual is awful, the quality is bad, and the Arrow company videos are worthless. But your video is very helpful. I'm installing the doors and your video shows me what I need to see, as the manual is a joke. I appreciate you providing this!
Awesome video... On the door sliders just make sure you slide them between the curved part. DO NOT JUST SLIDE THEM IN THE HOLE. IT HAS TO GLIDE ON IT. That's why he was having problem at the end (not being able to screw all the way with out the door getting stuck, and having to release the outside screws because the slide was hitting it. HOPE THAT HELPS.
badass video. helped a ton. instructions have been updated for this exact shed but its not much of an update. I did notice you put the door slides completely on the inside of the track. they should straddle it which is why your outside screws were too long and jamming the door up. figured I would add my 2 cents to help as you helped me. thanks buddy
I have an Arrow in my back yard ready to be built, so I watched every minute of this video. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! I had put one together before, and wanted to see if it was the same, and yep, I believe it is, so now I may be able to do this a bit faster than the last one. Blessings, Sheila
You know what....this is way easier when you showed us what the pieces looked like..after assembled..thank you...mine have no numbers on them to reference to....this is great...thanks a ton!!!!
This is exactly the kind of video I was looking for! I'm only 2min in and you've already answered the first question I had lol. The instructions aren't horrible, but they're not crystal clear either! Thank you for making this!! :D
THANK YOU!! Awesome video. It saved us! You were very clear in your explanations. That being said it still took us 13 hours to put the shed together. 13 hours after assembling the first 4 steps. Just letting everyone know that it is very time consumming. Watch the video it will help you out. Thanks again!
I just finished my built and this video was very helpful! One thing I want to add was the top rails of the door ride on the rail, they do not go in the rail, if that makes sense!!! I did the same mistake!! if put then in the rail the door won't slide easily.
You are a great teacher...thank you so much for your video. It was a great help! The instructions provided with the product are not clear and with your help it was very easy to install the shed even though it took us 2 and a half days, but we did a wood platform for the floor. Great video!
Thank you for your video I understand better than manual I hope arrow company send you another one for free because you helped arrow customer understand then there’s manual
I'm glad it helped you. I know I messed up the door but, other people caught that and put it in the comments. I did get a second one of these sheds to hold the rest of our stuff. One got totally destroyed in a wind storm and the other we left on our friends property when we moved and bought our shipping container.
Thank you for taking the time to make the video. 2 things I noticed that you may want to add to your video. 1. The door slides are installed incorrectly. The door track needs to go into the center of the door slides. You almost installed in correctly at 19:20. Look at the End View diagram in the instruction manual.. 2. The gable should be tucked under the side walls. You had the gable sitting on top of the side walls. See 34:41 and 35:40 Good job on the video. It was much better than look at the manual.
Thanks for the video, it helped me a lot. As well drafted as the instructions were, they lacked details you provided in your video. Very well put together. At around 19:20 the door slides, if you look at the white plastic sliders, you'll see that they have grooves in them. If you set the grooves between the tall upper and short lower rails edges instead of inside the channel, you'll fix your door issue.
Good video, just completed my second one today. Had issues with the roof panels coming together. 34 minutes though, 34 minutes to mention how sharp these rascals are. I'm typing this with nearly 30 decent slices in my fingers and hands. I despise these sheds.
I had to empty one of them and move it the next day. Unfortunately, that night there was a wind storm and I didn't have to move it anymore. The wind moved it for me. Now I get sheds built by Costco or Home Depot. They cost a lot more but, they are bigger, made of wood, and I am not the one putting them together.
+Champ Bun It helped me build my second one as well. Now that we bought a house, I have to take them down and put them back up again. I hope they can go back together.
Great video, I have one going up and was thinking of using self tapping screws and the Bosch to drive them in next to every factory hole or in the factory hole if the grab instead of the nut washer and screws supplied.
Def recommend self tapping screws. A few times there were some "things" that didn't line up even though we followed directions to a T and watched this video, pausing it in between.
This video is saving my sanity right now. We bought 3 of these 10 x 12's, though ours have the barn style roof so it has more pieces to install... The directions are not super helpful in some sections and the pictures are a hard to decipher at times. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video.
Thank you very much for posting this video! I'm planning on buying the same shed and it is immensely helpful to actually see the thing being put together with video, including the various pitfalls that can occur. I appreciate your taking the time to shoot all of the video while you were assembling it for the first time. I know when I'm assembling something for the first time I'm most interested in getting the thing put together, so I really do appreciate the extra time it took to shoot such a detailed video. Well done.
Finally I found this channel thanks to you I did it all by myself thank you and wasn't no easy work but I finally did it keep up the good work thank you. Imma be honest I didn't even need to use the instructions that came with the shed you were my instruction I build the shed because of you
Thanks for taking the time to break this down..don't mind the naysayers..i have lived with this my whole life..but i will be taking some notes on this..much appreciated..
I built the same building by myself. I bought some longer screws and bolts to make it easier. On the top, I used self tapping screws on the ridge caps and screwed them to the center beam. I am 66 years old and need all the help I can get.
I filled the underside of the threshold where the doors slide with vinyl patch, its like concrete but doesnt crack and is not corrosive. Doing this makes it solid to where a heavy object, in my case a 800 pound Harley Davidson will not bend the threshold. I strongly suggest this! 7 dollars worth of vinyl patch, you will thank yourself later. just make sure you clean out the drain holes and use your finger in the fresh mixture to make slight channels fir water to drain to the front.
I tried that but unfortunately the flexing of the threshhold made it crack apart. It would probably work great on a concrete pad but on dirt or grass it doesn't seem to help much.
Thank you! I'm sitting here worn out and sunburnt but with a lot of help from my friends and my girlfriend we got that sucker completely done in about 10 hours! Going to go over it tomorrow and weather-proof it here and there, going to fine-tune the doors so they close a little better, and will most likely buy and anchoring kit for it soon...but I am so thankful to God that the job is finished. Again, I appreciate this video and your well-wishes.
I just installed the same shed and realized the reason why your door is getting jambed is becuase you installed the white plastic pieces on the rail incorrectly. They should hang out of the rail in between the tongue. its hard to explain. But thats the problem. Other than that, great explanation. Thanks
Thanks for the Video! Sorry for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (just google it)? It is a smashing exclusive product for building better sheds and woodworking without the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my close friend Aubrey at last got astronomical success with it.
Is the floor kit sold separately? I was going to just put pallets and plywood to make a floor and then just build on top. I’m building mine on top of a flat driveway
The floor kit came with mine but, I did buy the wood for the floor. You do not have to use the floor kit but, you might want to do something to secure it to the ground. These sheds hate the wind and will fly away if they are not nailed down. (Speaking from experience).

Thanks for the video. I wanted a refresher and needed to get my nerve up for my second build of one of these sheds from hell. You probably are aware by now that you made a few mistakes during construction. However, I do not blame you at all. The instructions can be very confusing and almost impossible in some cases to tell when you're supposed to use a screw or a nut and bolt. Holes don't line up and on the rare occasion when they do stripping out the hole is inevitable. I think the manufacturer (China) throws any kind of alloy (probably a lot of aluminum and lead) available into the pot to make the sheets that are then stamped out into the component parts. I picked up a box of #10 1/2" screws for backups in the case of a stripped hole. I'm waiting for a true to life video complete with the requisite cussing and frustrated throwing of objects. I said this the first time, but I guess I didn't take myself seriously enough, but I mean it this time I WILL NEVER PUT ANOTHER ONE OF THESE TOGETHER AGAIN! I feel much better now that I've been allowed to vent. Thank you.
i found that working on it at small intervals helped. longest interval i worked on was the roof, about 3 hours. the price is worth the hassle in my opinion, any other storage solution is upwards of $1K. the house i moved came with a small arrow shed, was probably installed in the late 90s and the thing is holding up pretty well, only minor rusting at the front bottom. that was reason #2 why i bought the new one, the Woodridge.
Nice job, reciently picked one up with no directions, never put one up or studied one before but your video does a nice job helps with my job to come. I think we went to different schools together ha
I did mess up the doors and did a couple of things out of order but, I am glad it helped you. Soon I will be taking these down and putting them back up on my new property so, that should be an interesting video.
I really recommend that you "annotate" the part where you did the doors and mention where the sliders should go. Some folks may watch the video and do the door sliders incorrectly . It's easy to annotate you video just go to the My Videos page and there should be an edit option somewhere .Sorry it's been awhile since I did it but I remember it was easy and fast.
Hey L2Survive, We helped a older gentleman friend of ours put this exact shed together. He had ordered the extra wood for the basic floor, so he got four sheets of plywood. ( i think, I didn't physically go count them.) We built it for him because he had asked two other people to do it and they turned him down saying it was too complicated. It took us a day and a half, because the first day we forgot the charger to the drill and it was dead and had to hand screw everything in. The second day was mainly just the roof. Now we are on the floor and the kit didn't seem to come with directions for the flooring kit. How did you manage to get yours together? Did you have to call for another direction book or ? Maybe I am over looking something? We wanted to try and finish it for him tomorrow, but he also wants it slightly up off the ground because it will be storing his personals for a couple years while he saves more money to have a house built on his plot of land. Thanks for the video and any advice!
There was a separate page that showed the floor and even the different cuts of wood to use to make it fit properly. If you cannot find that, at the 0:50 mark th-cam.com/video/9HvawHjnbBg/w-d-xo.html you can see what the floor kit is suppose to look like when it is done. Hope that helps.
I've been following your video to build our shed. First of all THANK YOU. Arrow Shed should thank you too... Here's our deal though. Ours is a little different because it's not an A frame roof but more a barn style...But pretty much the same. So after I don't know how many days of building and how many times I've said "these holes don't align..." I actually ran into something that I couldn't see in your video how to do...The last middle ridge cap....Did you install it BEFORE putting in the last panels? I installed all panels and now I can't reach where the middle and front ridge cap meet... I think I have to pull a panel down, and what..just slide it under the ridge cap? OoF!! This one's a doozy. Anyway. Thank you for guiding us this far! We're almost there!!! EDIT: Ended up taking one panel down! ALL is well so far :)
Great video.....must have missed the part where you put the flooring joyces in???? all of the sudden you went to putting up the walls and there are all these floor joice's down
Actually, if you look at the very beginning of the video, you see them down. It looked like it was suppose to be part of the beginning of the instructions when it was actually suppose to be the very last thing we did before putting the wood floor down. We kept tripping on them during the entire build and had to take them out after this video and put them back in to get the floor to be supported the correct way. Do them last.
Just built one in two 3 hour sessions after work. Alone. My gf said thanks but also got mad cause I made one small mistake. I put the roof panels that had side holes for the table in the middle and you could see light through. I just used the tap screws and screwed through the panels that were at the gable. I taped outside and patched inside you can't even tell but now she's worried about the floor. I haven't built the floor kit yet but where it is one corner is on a tree root so to level it I had tolift the other corners. Now I have a 6 inch gap some places. I filled alot with bricks now gonna fill with dirt but worried the floor kit will sit so it doesn'tput the plywood in the right position
Sorry, I don't know. I showed all the issues I had and how I fixed them. I would try flipping them over to see if they line up. Wish I could have been more help. As you can see from the video, I am not construction guy.
I live in the desert or Eastern Washington, we get very little rain here. What we do get is enough to make the roof a little wet then it usually stops. I did see some wetness on a table that we had in there but, that was from a spot that I bent so, I don't really know.
I just bought one of these. Setting it up in a couple days. Do I need to anchor this thing to the ground? Gets kinda windy here. Gusts sometimes hit 50 mph. It will be on a wooden frame I built for it and then on top of plywood.
Definitely anchor this to the ground. Overall, this is a flimsy structure and a good wind will damage it. We had a couple windy days and the frame above the doorway bent on my shed.
This shed is kicking my ass. I'm a woman & lord help my soul. This video was very helpful. The peices are so flimsy. Be careful because there will bend & loose shape easily
Make sure you have the right sheet of metal and make sure that everything is square. If you mess up on the first sheet, it will cause the rest to be off.
Just a friendly FYI, you put those slide blocks in at the top of the door wrong. The entire block doesn't go into the track like you did it, but just the back part of it. Once you do that you can tighten everything down just fine and nothing will interfere.
Yep. Although, with those instructions, the rest of it went up pretty well. I no longer have those sheds. One got destroyed by a moth or a gentle breeze. The other I left with the homeowner. Shipping containers for me from now on.
I got the 10x10 version of this shed. How did you put the bolts into the roof peak caps where the two caps meet? Did you have to lay on the roof? Seems sketchy.
Good vid. You helped wit the doors. Lol & another thing. Those plastic strips on the gables were pose to be removed after you put the end pieces of the roof. Other than that this vid was helpful.
I haven't had this shed for a few years. I bought a house and left it at my friends house. They are still using the shed so, it seems to be holding up still.
Someone wants me to build one of these but a smaller version, how many hours did this one take to build? Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video, it's excellent!
Richard Einhorn Doing the actual work didn't take that long for us to do. The two of us maybe 6 hours each? Most of our time was spent figuring out what the instructions meant. We only worked on it for three days I think and about a absolute max of two hours per day since it was cold and that is how much sunlight we had left in the day after work. I'm thinking about putting up another one next to this one very soon, like buying it this week..
5:50 why are the bolts on one side opposite, (one up and one down) the instruction picture on 5:03 shows, one side the bolts are facing down and the other side is facing up
I'm pretty sure he did that wrong. For him placing the shed on dirt it won't matter. However if you're building your's on a cement pad you'll need to get it right or the shed won't sit flush.
I was hoping I would too, I just forgot. I do show the flooring kit assembled at the beginning of the video. One thing to keep in mind is that there are specific dimensions for the wood you use. There are like two or three choices in the instructions. When I went to Home Depot to buy the plywood, I didn't think of that and had all of my pieces cut to 10'x12' instead of the interior dimensions. I had to recut everything by hand when I got home.
The instructions are terrible. I was thinking of just putting a concrete bricks down and then laying the plywood down and assembling the shed. Would that work out fine?
I really don't know. Even though I may come across as a carpenter because of my construction jargon like thingy and do-hicky, I am not. If you are not storing government secrets in it, I'm sure whatever you do will be good enough.
i did my own. if I can I'm sure you can. I use prefabbed 10 in. x 10 in. x 10 in. Concrete Deck Block from home depot. I just made sure it was level and added dirt and sand under neath as needed and I added drainage tubes under neath to make sure it didn't get washed away because it rains alot here.
The problem everyone is having with the doors sliding is because the sliders don't go totally on the inside of the track they set in the gap with a lip on the outside and inside of the track which allows for tightening of the doors and space to miss the bolts inside the track when sliding.
You have made life so much easier for us 70 YO's! We followed your video from start to finish and paused after each step! If it wasn't for you and your thorough instructions, I don't know what we'd do! Thank you!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your help. We succeeded thanks to you, the original plan from Arrow is not detailed, a real shitty plan.
Thank you for the detailed VIDEO.
pretty good job ,man this video is very helpful .,tomorrow i'm going to assemble one of these babies, thanks for sharing
Great vid but idk if you installed the door sliders correctly.
Thank you for making this! You deserve a cookie or something. Saved my ass this thing is a pain in the dick.
Thank you. Just got this and was hoping someone showed a real world assembly. BTW, it's 278 pounds. :)
Thank you! This video helped me greatly
I just finished with the floor frame on mine but not squre. Its off by 4 inches. Holes aligned well though. Can i continue with assembly??
Very nicely done and helpful too! Thanks!!
None on my holes line up on the side edges. Shows 8 min. In your video ,any recommendations on how i can fix that ? Just finished the top of the roof
Sorry, I don't know. I showed all the issues I had and how I fixed them. I would try flipping them over to see if they line up. Wish I could have been more help. As you can see from the video, I am not construction guy.
Thanks for the video!!
Our pleasure!
Thanks man I have to put one up in a few weeks... Have you noticed any leaks? would you caulk roof seams?
Thank you for taking the time.
This shed is kicking my ass. I'm a woman & lord help my soul. This video was very helpful. The peices are so flimsy. Be careful because there will bend & loose shape easily
How did you get the roof screws in? Most of our holes did not line up
Make sure you have the right sheet of metal and make sure that everything is square. If you mess up on the first sheet, it will cause the rest to be off.
Got the same one. Can't beat the price
@@L2Survive by a moth?? Oh crap!! That's making me re-think my purchase!! 😂😂😂
Thank you for this video
What would be the dimensions of the plywood inside for the flooring so that I know to cut. Tnx in advance
Thank you so much for this video. Now I just have to figure out how the reinforcing kit fits in the puzzle (read: I live in FL).
Man you are the best thanks 🙏
Thanks SO much. Very helpful.
I got the 10x10 version of this shed. How did you put the bolts into the roof peak caps where the two caps meet? Did you have to lay on the roof? Seems sketchy.
great video but I really don't know why I'm watching this.
Thank you for this video help me a lot!!!
Good vid. You helped wit the doors. Lol & another thing. Those plastic strips on the gables were pose to be removed after you put the end pieces of the roof. Other than that this vid was helpful.
Richard Luebano I just bought a second one of these sheds and you all have corrected my mistakes so, it should be easier this time around.
Great video but I didn’t see you assembling the floor frame.
Great video bud. 👍👍
How is the floor kit holding up?
I haven't had this shed for a few years. I bought a house and left it at my friends house. They are still using the shed so, it seems to be holding up still.
Good video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
thanks for sharing that helps me to set my door
great explanation. Thanks Good Job Big Big Help
Do they all come with the floor kit?
I bought this 8 years ago and only used it for a year before I moved. Mine did come with the floor kit though. All I had to buy was the plywood.
Which shed is better wood or metal?
5:50 why are the bolts on one side opposite, (one up and one down) the instruction picture on 5:03 shows, one side the bolts are facing down and the other side is facing up
I'm pretty sure he did that wrong. For him placing the shed on dirt it won't matter. However if you're building your's on a cement pad you'll need to get it right or the shed won't sit flush.
Thanks for posting, i'm looking at this same shed. Did the floor kit come with it or did you buy it separately?
The floor kit was included in mine but, I had to buy the wood for it separately and I also put a moisture sealing paint on the underside of the wood.
@@L2Survive ...how much did you spend on that (weatherproofing)? Did you chalk all the screws?
WE WOULD LIKE TO BUY THIS SHED AND USE IT FOR STORAGE OF OUR FIRE WOOD HIGH IN THE COLORADO ROCKIES, 11,200 FT. WHAT IS THE SNOW LOAD?
I wouldn't think that it is a lot. These are made with thin sheet metal. Just enough to keep the rain out.
thankx so much it really help me
Thx chief 🙂
Glad I could help.
Do I need to use the floor kit to get this together right? I'm assembling on an existing concrete pad
No, you do not have to use the floor kit if you are not putting a floor in. All it does is hold the plywood up off the ground.
L2Survive gotcha thanks!
@@L2Survive .. thanks
Do i really need to install the flooring kit?
Where is your floor? I bought the plywood for the floor and I was hoping you would have shown how to do that part.
And thank you for your reply
Anthony Quinley I will have to check that out. Thanks for the tip.
your a life saver
Thanks for the video. How long it took you?
+yajahira deaza about 9 man hours.
+L2Survive thanks for the answer!!
