Grandma here has shed this same shed sitting in storage a few years. I read directions, played it out in my mind, separated all parts in order of installation, and yet never trusted myself. Also, it’s a real reality check when you open the box and realize the materials are razor blade sharp. I can’t see any reason for this. It’s a simple fix just to add one more machine process and add a 1/8” or 1/16” fold on the panels before stamping into shape. Anyhow, I didn’t have faith in myself to go it alone and I was not willing to ask anyone to put themselves in danger. After watching you explain, walk through the basics, bring attention to problems that we may face along with very clever problem solving to press on … well, hey, that baby going up this year!!! Thank you for helping me and so many others. The video process is as hard as the construction itself! You paid a price to bless many, and personally, I can’t thank you enough. You are a true blessing ♥️ and amazingly gifted in taking an overwhelming project and transforming it into something simple & do-able.
Great video! Straightforward, approachable, down-to-earth, only the relevant information, no fluff. You gave the entire experience and provided an accurate demonstration of how long it would take and how difficult it would be. Really really useful. Thank you very much!
Your video has helped me a lot. I’m nervous about building the shed because I’m building it by myself. I was wondering how to do the roof because the instruction showed do one side and then the other and I’m wondering how the heck do you get up there? The way you did it is your, doing both sides at the same time and working your way out. That’s important and that’s a lot easier. You could stand on a ladder and do that at the peak. Only difference in me and you is I’m a 61-year-old woman gonna do this by myself. I’m used to building a lot of furniture so this is gonna be like building every piece of furniture I’ve ever built at one time I think.😅
the instructions say to have a helper. It was 10/10 difficulty for me on a few sections. if I ever build another one I will pay someone to help me for sure
I am putting together a 6x5 and I am a visual learner. I was stuck on the top frame and not understanding how to put on the doors. Your video helped me finish my project. Thank you.
Be glad it's not a Vida XL shed.Their directions are terrible. And they don't label stuff as they are supposed to.Also there are forklift holes through the 800.00 shed they sent. And if you contact them ,they they tell you to go watch videos that don't exist on the internet. So in the future I'll be buying the brand this guy bought.I'm so grateful for you filming this.
Yep, agree 10/10 difficulty! had to re-watch a few parts of your video to see where I went wrong. 3 days down and i just have a few more things to finish up. Will be worth it very soon!
Did mine by myself in 2 hours.. never did one before.... but I did stay at a holiday in last night.. Had to edit this... I said 2 hours.. that's funny... took 2 days.. my bad... what really slowed me was that it rained and the roof panels were numbed with friggn ink that all washed off in the rain... I mean EVERY ONE of the panels have NO numbers on them... so had to lay them out in the grass so I could see any difference.. and did.. thanks again for this video... these sheds are great ... I am replacing a 10x13 with a 10x12... the 10x13 had been standing over 20 years.. only thing was it rusted and the doors fell apart .. other then that.. it was still standing...lol the paint was holding it together i think...
Just finished building mine yesterday it was a pain when shit don't line up correct that's when it gets tough.. but is a good-looking building once it's complete
I don't usually worry about this kind of thing much where where I live...But the screws that fasten the latches to the doors, I feel like I will change those screws and use some of them one way screws that you need to have a special key to even put them in, cause I agree...if you're gonna put bikes or valuables in there...someone could just unscrew the latches out and you padlock would come right out.
What about the leaks that develop between the base of the shed and the metal flashing? I used silicone caulking inside and out and had to remove the door channel and silicone under it.
As a builder I gotta say I was pretty upset having to buy one of these. But since I have a shoulder injury stick built is near impossible. I followed the directions to a Tee. Fricken ribs were off by almost 2" overlap on the the last wall panel on both sides and back wall. Needless to say but today was a wasted day with assembly & disassembly a few times.
the shed is like an over complicated cabinet.. to me being a cabinet builder 20+ years it was super easy to assemble.. just time consuming and tedious, if you can read directions and know how to use the clutch on a drill.. it's easy.... Just my thoughts. THE Z
See, as smart as I am I would have never thought to tape a nut to the wall like that. Lol I'm a WW2 expert, but this is why I woulf fail miserably at an IQ test.
Me too, 25 years ago. I need to move mine into my yard to crate a garden shed. I'm surprised at how well this has held up through Michigan winters. Needs paint, but it's been a long time.
I've must have said a 100 times this shed is a piece of shit while building it but once done its pretty sturdy for having flimsy ass sheet metal, I've already added a metal studs for wall and ceiling for more support and insulated it. Would I buy again, nope.
that’s going to the store.. loading .. unloading.. the actual time... I’m not an idiot telling you it’s only gonna take 1 hour... but idiots like to hear lies... I don’t lie on my channel, sorry
hey had to say... you didn't show how to put together the friggn door header.. that gave me the most problem because it's not in the manual.. only shows one piece across... SUCKS!! had to watch a video just to figure it out... DAM YOU OBAMA!!!
Brother, all those tin sheds are 100% CRAP!!!! Not only are they flimsy, if a 30-40 mile an hour wind passes by, it will sweep it away and crumble it like a cookie. I had this same one. WASTE OF MONEY!!
@@chriscraft2 I’m a retired Building Contractor living in South Fla. You know winds here can get ugly even when it’s not a Hurricane. I know what it takes to anchor a small building, heck, I even reenforced the inside with stud framing and anchored the bottom platform sill to the concrete slab, built trusses with cross member for stability during high winds and even placed metal straps on all four walls for a strong and stable structure. Then, last year’s last strong winds, destroyed it!!😫 I went ahead and pulled permit to build an out house/ storage shed out of cinder block, rebar, and solid concrete corners and tie beams!! No more fooling around!!
you turned the shed into garbage when you made your own holes instead of back tracking and finding out what you did wrong… the shed is flimsy but not garbage in any way

This building is kicking my butt, but in the name of being frugal, I shall get it done thanks to your video!
keep in mind someone in the comments said they built the whole building in 2 hours 🤟😊🤟

Great video. Made me laugh and cry building this and their 24x12 garage

Awesome job teacher tomorrow i finish my 10 x 12
You are a freaking warrior!!!
I'm planning on spray foam or sheet insulation. And I hear it makes it more solid as well.
spray foam will definitely make it more solid.
So did the spray foam work?
@@warblerblue I got held up so will be doing it when it cools off.Ive added wood supports so far on top of what came with the shed.
thanks for making my work a little bit easier
Definitely will kick your butt I just finished one
But its the best one and the most helpfull good job. Tape come in handy too

it is.. i love mine.. no regrets at all..
I read that spray on foam insulation improves the rigidity and keeps condensation from forming on the inside of the shed.
Thanks for the tips brother. I have been on mine for 2 days and it whooping my butt, also I messed up with my door track.
Thank you for this video. My daughter wants me to build her one....wish me luck
they are good buildings for the price.. try to make a floor like I did.. makes a world of difference..good luck
Thanks I have to set one up tommorow
Some guy commented that he built his in 4 hours.. what do you think about that?
@@chriscraft2 well if it came out right id like to hire him to put me together one 😂

tomorrow I start to assemble mine God give me strength
Im doing this shot right now and this is the 12th video ive see..
Seems like you could raise the height by adding another board around the platform and attach the frame to that, no?
Thanks for this video. About to tackle this exact shed in the next week or so. Very helpful! Sub'd
Proper Job Buddy 👌
Omg I just bought this wish me luck
How much should one charge to assemble one? No wood floor needed, only the assembly. With 2-3 people how long would it take?
Heck some one want to get in it. They would just kick it in
Heck yea!! Looks good
Had this shed. It's good but can't withstand harsh weather, doors come off the runners easily

good job man like
Hey buddy! how do you get your building base squared up? Me and my dad have been working on it and we are always off maybe 1/4 honestly.
nice job.thanks for the video.
good video thankyou
Where can I get the instructio manual
Would I be able to use this type of shed on a concrete foundation?
You can just jerk doors to left or right and it will open locked or not
How do you put the Spring assembly on the garage door
Great video! What size screws did you use to secure the shed to the wood floor?
Does that thing hold up in a wind storm?
Good video

Not sure why I watched this, lol I've already built one🤣🤣
you just wanted to see someone else suffer too... :)

The worst part of assembling the shed is the roof. I wanted to see how you did it because it is taking a lot of work. 😣😖
What’s the Red special tool ?
The only issue I had was with the roof beams
What is the actual dimensions of the deck sir??
Merci mec👍
I have a question?
I’m trying to build the same shed. What is the exact dimensions on the foundation floor?
watch my floor video I say it on there I don’t remember
I wish you showed how to build the floor
I have a whole video on building the floor
Can you Teo me how much you spent to make this?
$900 total
I have a 10×8 i got for bday. No handyman experience. How hard is it
the video is going over the hard parts... for a beginner it’s 10/10... very difficult at first
@@chriscraft2 any recommendations? Ive started on mine

Deff going to need 2 people on the 10 by 12... Ill never do another one.
Wait till it rains these sheds leak between the bottom metal and the plywood
if you build your plywood floor wider than the shed it will … some water gets in mine but not enough to matter
My roof panels won’t align
But can it withstand high winds?
I’m in Houston, TX I don’t know.. just screw the building down to a floor.. people say the whole building will fly away
They sell anchor kits. Been in 70mph winds and they have stayed put.
what are the dimensions of your wood foundation?
I have a video building the floor where I show it.. it’s 10 feet wide exactly but I forgot exact length
