When I started working as an online capsule wardrobe stylist, one of the things that was super important to me was being able to teach you how to build a capsule wardrobe from scratch. I knew that if you just hired a personal shopper, you could end up with a great minimalist wardrobe, but it would be very difficult to recreate it yourself. My goal as a personal stylist is to teach you how to put together an easy capsule wardrobe, so that you can continue to build wardrobes that work for you for years to come!

I really struggled to find words for my eclectic style but you helped solve that! I love the “polished bohemian” description! A lot of Jennifer’s style is very much like mine. For a 3rd word I add edgy. Great video thanks. 😃

Right? I learn so much from seeing what other people live to buy and what they have. It gives me ideas for myself!
My style has really changed since I graduated college four months ago; I always thought I had an edgy style; I don't wear dresses or skirts at all and I feel most comfortable in boots or sneakers. And I still maintain that, but it's more "boardroom edgy" now, because I love feeling polished in black skinny jeans and a blazer! I've also recently discovered, thanks to you, that I have an hourglass that's suited to wider-leg jeans with a tucked in top, and I'm loving that look. I've become super drawn to 1940's silhouettes. So it's changed a lot recently!!!

Great to see colours and patterns!! Just recently I realized I'm less boho and more retro, simply can't do the boring beige minimalist thing, even if that's the "sensible" route given my circumstances.

I agree Allegro. A lot of capsule talks just tell you to wear neutral colours and basic similar shapes. Not for me either, too boring.
This was so visually helpful!! I love the idea of a year-round capsule wardrobe but it’s hard to find inspiration that is Boho chic, and not French minimalist. I am definitely a Boho girl. With a twist of feminine adventurer. So it’s kind of boho-meets-safari, and I have yet to find a capsule wardrobe with that style *anywhere* but this was a huge help!
This was a terrific video for women to understand the process of understanding their style and how to be more creative putting outfits together.
I love how you explained the process! This has been my hang up is that I couldn't really envision the process so I didn't know what option to select to book. I personally have a capsule and want help evolving it over time, so like meet monthly or every few months to help me evolve it.... Style Therapy of sorts! I can't wait for our first meeting tomorrow!

This is interesting. It’s nice to see how different people take your advice and how there ideas around clothes change. I can follow her way of thinking but I don’t think that I’m quite on that level yet. And now I’ve been thrown a curveball again with losing weight.

The issue I have with my wardrobe is that I work in the medical field and wear scrubs to work. I only need real clothes on evenings and weekends. That makes it difficult to know what to keep and what to get rid of.

It was really interesting to see the process! I know what types of thing I like to wear, and how I like to wear them, but I can never narrow down a cohesive ‘description’ of what that style is. I’m currently starting again… I was pretty happy with the versatility of my wardrobe pre-COVID, but now nothing fits. Every time I try to put an outfit together, I’m missing a key element!

I'm very eclectic a cross between hippie and grunge lol. T-shirt and leggings with a dress or skirt over the top year round. In summer I'll wear a flannel shirt or thin cardigan over top. In winter a jumper or hoodie.

I really liked this video, but would like to have seen more combinations from the capsule to see how it works together.
Part of the point is that I don’t give my client’s ALL the combinations they could put together, because the idea is that you find some yourself!
This was really helpful in deciding to eliminate certain items in my closet.
