  • Part 1: • Boss ME-90: Answering ...
A week after making the transition to the ME-90 from a pedal board, I've got some new knowledge nuggets. How long is the Phrase Looper's max? How does the unit decide if it is using batteries or power supply? Is the tuner more or less accurate than a Snark? How does self oscillation sound on the different delays?
I hope you find this useful!
    0:20 - looper max length
1:29 - Plugged in vs batteries
    2:36 - Tuner Accuracy
2:48 - Delay self oscillation and ping pong

You are my kind of guitar player!!!...Not everyone "gets" the whole analogue self oscillation thing. Trust me, for decades, neitherdid I....Just a bunch of weird noises when you wanted to smoke a few and harness your inner PinkFloyd...THEN I got a cheapo, ALL Analogue, Bucket Brigade, Behringer Vintage Delay...(Copy of the Boss DM-3)....WOW!!!....What a difference the psychedelic knob twisting is with that one compared with my digital delays...Like they say,you don't know until you know. Cool review. Subscribed!...Cheers!!!!

A tip: in lack of ping pong delay, you can use the PAN mode in the EQ/FX2 section of me90👍🏻

Thanks man! I will never use all the device has to offer but I'm getting some great tube-y sounds "I" find it hard to get on the GT-1000. Be Safe! Best Regards and Best Wishes!

This covers some o f the ain points for using it like I do - no Tone Studio, but just using the hardware: th-cam.com/video/Ax59hWWeUGk/w-d-xo.html
Lots of vids out there for how others use it. The Anderton's review is a goos starting point: th-cam.com/video/slYFzX6Jut0/w-d-xo.html

something I want to know, about the polyphonic octave that you can download with tone studio. Does it work like the OC5, where you can have it track only the lowest note of the chord to make a bass line, with the rest of the chord unoctaved?

I'll have to look into this. I've actively been trying to avoid Tone Studio and work with just what's on the unit itself. I'm a developer by day and really don't want to do any programming or menu diving or even use my computers to play music so I haven't gotten into that yet. If I do, I'll make sure to check this out. If I find another vid that answers this, I'll post it here as a reply. This is a great question.

I don't use IRs, but I think this has some info on that: th-cam.com/video/ggsvDIQkHlg/w-d-xo.html (around 8 min)
