Dude, I don't know if you're checking the comments on these older videos, but I just wanted to say thank you. I've been fighting with a VVE table for weeks. I just got back from a 2 hour tuning session and my eq err is within +/-5% thanks to your advice.
2015 cadillac escalade put a texas speed stage 1 610 lift 220s duration starts just fine smells rich but wont start once warm seems to drive fine as long as it runs also my remote start is wonky
What tables are primarily used for cranking fuel? Swapped a 2017 lt1 camaro motor and it doesnt like to start unless given a short of carb cleaner, but once running it starts untill it sits for couple days
Tuning a Gen IV swap LS2 + 6l80e. Did MAF tuning first which is on spot. Then did VVE which is also on spot now thanks to your videos! BUT, when going back to blend mode MAF is 30-50% off all of a sudden? What gives? I tuned both methods individually as per common praxis.
Have you ever had that when you disable MAF that it will only go to 50% throttle or so? I noticed it on a 2015 Silverado and a 2018 ZL1. I tuned VVE for part throttle and MAF for WOT with the stock switch over RPM so it still ran great after the tune was done but still curious if there's a work around so I could more accurately tune VVE in WOT.
On the 2015, no, unless it is going into a limp mode, there are some based on air calc if you start making too much airflow, check your DTC's then look under the Engine Diag tab and see if there is a way to adjust for that DTC.
@@GoatRopeGarage i had a 17 Silverado which had a baro sensor range code. I disabled that and was good to go but the 18 ZL1 and the 15 Silverado had no codes. I tuned VVE at part throttle and once I re-enabled MAF i got full throttle again
Ove watched pretty much all your Gen V stuff. Getting ready to startup a L8T with a PD Supercharger and pretty big cam on a 2014 6.2 ECU. Do you recommend i start with VVE first like in this video or something else? Virtual Torque, go straight to MAF and fix this later? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Love your vids.
Are you able to tune VVE on a 2018 Camaro ZL1? Seems like alot of tuner struggling with VVE on that specific model. Been told the Corvettes run without the MAF, but not the 2018 ZL1.
I tuned a cammed 2018 ZL1 a little while ago, everything went great and I failed in VVE first and later the MAF. After that I re-enabled the switch over and it runs on both MAF and VVE. One thing I noticed though is that when MAF was disabled that it would only go to 50% throttle. But I didn't really care because the MAF takes over at WOT so I left VVE enabled for idle and part throttle
2018+ Camaros can have some issues with going into limp mode, check to see if it is setting a DTC and see if you can disable it while tuning. If not you may just need to reset it and start the log over.

what can i check when a gen v start good on cold but just got warm and never start again
How did you set up the VE flow factor graph?
i came here for this as well @GoatRopeGarage
Apparently we're not getting an answer
Can I swap the cam on my l86 to stock spec only without the dod and just disable or? Do I need to tune it ?

@@askkmb ah, yeah, you need to use a baro breakout on the maf, allows you to use a 1 bar map sensor for reading barometric pressure
Do you have a video for gen 5 fuel tuneing if not can you make one I'm having a hard time on it

I can’t find where you tune on a 4th gen CTS-V or a ZL1. Don’t know to tune MAF or Speed density.
Check the 4th gen playlist, www.tuning101.com
