Certainly don't need a click-bait photo to entice views. Your content never disappoints, and this video is no exception. Thanks for sharing!

Marty's white water action at his best ! Where Max video was more focus on nature , Marty's brings the focus on the water and we dive with him for some white water fun . A very well edited video with beautiful shots . And we can't ignore the succulent meals he prepares in the woods ... and the proverbial story telling he alway's have in stock for us , now we know where the names of his canoes came from . Glad you could go out this early for a trip . Thanks for sharing !

Bonne saison !
Comme toujours, une très belle vidéo Marty

It was worth it, it's a top notch thumbnail! Love it! The solo canoe is so much better for me paddling on the ocean, I've had mine in 3' pyramid waves and felt in control. The tandem is almost impossible to steer in that situation not to mention the water it takes on.

Hey man Wendel here. Your video is awesome. You caught more/different things here. Love the way you narrated the rapids. Enjoyed the history of you naming your canos. I have a kayak but have never named it as of yet. I would have to call her Tammy after my late wife. She was truly my rock. She battle breast cancer and never once complained. When we camped we actually glamped lol she wasn’t one for tent camping lol but now I tent camp and kayak fish as well. I really look forward to more of your videos. As you over came your fears after having some ruff times in the water I am over coming my fears without the love of my life. As always man safe travels🩷

That ledge in Red Pine has caught a lot of people off guard, it has terrible viewpoint from up stream. I love the Dumoine, have run it many times in many different water levels, but never with shore ice! Great video as always! Glad to see you back on the water. Happy paddling!

Was that the ledge where I was fixing my camera? Also what what’re level would you say that is? High/low? Thanks for watching my friend :)

I have seven Canoes each named after a beloved dog. Each matching their characteristics and relative size. It just worked out naturally. But, I ran out of names so I guess seven boats it will have to stay. Great video! I share a similar experience with whitewater and have returned to more technical class 3+ after about 20 years of more mellow class 1/2 river tripping. We have a great club in Missouri and an amazing river, The "Saint". Our whitewater clinic is attended from all over and has excellent instructors. The people around you make all the difference. Stay dry!

Wow another amazing video, I’m really loving your videos. I agree on hammock camping, for years I camped in a tent but at 55 years old my back would kill me. Purchased a hammock last year and I sleep so well in it, only time I will pitch a tent is if there are no trees to hang a hammock.

Thanks for sharing a beautiful trip and, providing your backstory about how you developed so much skil in whitewater. I really appreciate your insights and, how you make it look easy showing the fun stuff as well as your detailed risk assessment when facing challenging water. Great video Marty, happy to subscribe from Detroit, MI.

Great video. Love the Dumoine. My boats are named Evenflow (big pearl jam fan) for my solo whitewater tripper, Waterlutionary, named by my daughter for a esquif Nitro that I outfitted for tandem use (me and one of the kids) and La Belle Sauvage for my Esquif Ledge. Name stolen from a canoe named in a Philip Pullman book.

Nicely done gentlemen. There are some really nice campsites along that stretch. Did you consider running Ryan's Chute? I portaged it too, but was on the fence, as I've seen it done before.
