Love all your mostly solo adventures by far, but, the music selection in this video absolutely adds an element your past videos where missing. Love it! Thanks for sharing your Dash!!! - Davey.
Hey Jim and Ted y’all have too much fun and I love it when you go BEAST MODE making it look like a walk in the park. Thanks y’all, you’re the best! 👏👏👏👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
Hard section with that headwind. Still, made it safe, and thats most important. Always add pasta to boiling water Brother... everyone knows that! 😅 Thanks for sharing JB!
I am so looking foreword to seeing your coming video of Wilberforce Falls and the canyons. This is a seriously awesome part of Canada which is so remote it is known by few. I want to thank you in advance for bringing this to us. Canoeist Bill Mason photographed it decades ago. It is named after a great hero, William Wilberforce, who led the fight against the slave trade In British Parliament for 20 years. His work was a major contribution to slavery being prohibited in the British Empire in 1807.
Another spectacular journey along rivers in the untamed north. I also spotted your paddle, a glimpse of the colour. Look forward to more breakfasts, wild songs and thundering white water. Peter & Susie
Wow, that stretch of river in that nasty weather was dreary and bleak, but looked fun in spots. I just know these falls coming up are going to be stunning. Glad your spill wasn't any worse.
Hola from Costa Rica. You guys are doing a fantastic job. Well done. 13 days and you still have your finger wrapped. Must have been a good cut. Always looking forward to the next episode. Cheers and Pura Vida
Loving this series! The cold, wet, windy weather made my bones hurt just watching you guys, but the scenery is very beautiful. I hope you keep that shotgun within arms length when you're out in polar bear territory!
Twenty years ago i would.of signed my soul away to be with you on such an awesome journey. Now. I see the bugs flying across your breakfast on my screen and see the rain and I am. Hummm. Nahhh.
Some of the topography reminds of Alaska Tundra where I have fished. The Kanektok river. As the sides if the river wall s stuff off mammoth bones have been found from time to time.
I look forward to your adventures. Those rapids along with the music was awesome. Interesting you talked about the polar bears, but what about the grizzly bears? Blessings
Polar bears are more unpredictable and aggressive, they attack only to kill. No chance of scaring it away. At least a grizzly could scare away. there is that. Polar bears are more deadly.
FULL full-moon is maybe why your fish went off the bite. Best time is 2 days before or 2 days after - golden rule for some of us serious fishos in Australia. Perhaps luna cycles work the same in your hemisphere?
Very interesting, I’ve heard that the lake trout in the late winter evenings when ice fishing and the full moon come up that the lake trout bite more and bleed more which I’ve seen happen but can’t tell you for sure if it’s true. Maybe you’re onto something
Way better for pasta if you cook the noodles at home, then dehydrate the sauce and noodles together, then when you just rehydrate it all like rehydrating anything.
Probably but my hands aren’t cold so I don’t really need them. Your hands also get more tired by the end of the day wearing gloves because of the added grip strength you need to use while wearing them
I am loving this series. And I was wondering I know these trips are really strenuous and was wondering how much average weight do you lose on these trips ? Because I can tell from the beginning of the video and by the end that you have lost weight each video.
Yet you traveled through the tundra so you'd appreciate when you travel southwards, and maybe that's something you invent along the way, professional heated blanket ( used in emergencies of course) used to heat up the body before you get hypothermia. They do make a backpack blu itti now a days.I'm sure you'll figure it out.
I really couldn't understand how you lost your paddle, i guess you didn't film it, something about being on shore. Great adventure though. I think you need a small spinner that part of the river? Cheers man!
Love your channel and series from this trip but just asking why there is continously sound like warning or haunting sound effect most of these videos? Maybe it covers some quality of speaking or something.. just curios to know. Regards from northern Finland as a freetime paddler myself too. Great hobby and way to go wildlands.
Baird Brothers of the north, I respect your will, your fortitude and your grace. Keep it coming, brothers.
Jim you are a known stud but can we take some time to appreciate Ted navigating all of this in that dang folding canoe like a BEAST
Way to go Ted! Found the paddle. Looking forward to your version of this brotherly adventure. ❤
Your lost paddle that Ted found is at 18:13 on the video, excellent adventure you guys are having, looking forward to next segment
New expedition to retrieve the lost paddle.
yea like Justin Barbours canoe retrieval trip!
I came for this comment, he almost paddled into his lost paddle
Just saw it myself. Knew someone else would have seen it 😂
I've paddled many more miles then most, nothing like this! Reading a river is a unique skill!
An amazing series and so entertaining and inspiring to watch. 👍🏻

I think just Jim needs to dial back the volume on the music, keep it in, but it's way loud. The first burst sounded like the black crows
I saw it when you past it! I’m yelling at my iPad go back Jim ! Then Ted found it! I would have hated for you to be watching it back. Great video!
Always love to watch a great adventure on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I am getting cold watching you so will heat some hot chocolate too!
I’ll never get tired of watching you eat oatmeal!! Keep up the content my friend.
You brothers are awesome adventurers! Know how to milk the most out of live. Love your moon spinning trick too.
Exciting episode guys, Bill Mason would be proud of you guys!
Canoeing in that rough shit in the rain ........... No Thanks, you guys are a different breed. Hats off to you for taking on the journeys you do.
Freaken KICKASSSSSERY as always. Wish you guys had a regular series on discovery or prime etc.
Really appreciated how you showed the process of dehydrating at home. It gave me confidence to try doing this…
Love all your mostly solo adventures by far, but, the music selection in this video absolutely adds an element your past videos where missing. Love it! Thanks for sharing your Dash!!! - Davey.

wooHoo! always good to see a Baird vid!
Hard section with that headwind. Still, made it safe, and thats most important. Always add pasta to boiling water Brother... everyone knows that! 😅 Thanks for sharing JB!
Love how you spin the Moon on Your finger Jimbo !!! Hope Your keeping warm!!!
I'm LOVING this series! Really appreciate your connection to wild Nature and your oatmeal thumbnail...well, that's iconic!

I'm so glad I found the answer
Stunning.
So many adventures. So many different landscapes! The accompanying music is "chef's kiss"!
Favorite Thursday Drop! thank you for your videos!
Dream come true to be there for sure!! Even in the rain and wind.

Respect to you two!
Alot of the time I watch on the TV big screen, but these are the best shows yet.
I saw your paddle when you passed it as you were explaining how you lost it lol
I was wondering what that was
damn i could not see it at all
Me too!
I took pictures to send of the paddle but saw the comments here & that Ted found it. 😵💫
18:12
I must say I appreciate your appreciation of the landscape - it's raw honesty.
Thanks Jim for the awesome content ! Epic.
Love the music
The MoonBite 😂

Beautiful moon. Thanks for your time.
Your videos are never long enough ok? I'm mad man!!
Went back and found the spot where old Jim paddled right passed his lost paddle... Thank God old Ted found it...😂
Wow, that stretch of river in that nasty weather was dreary and bleak, but looked fun in spots. I just know these falls coming up are going to be stunning. Glad your spill wasn't any worse.

Blue paddle is at 18:12 minute mark in the video on the shore
Awesome 👍 good eye
Still with ya! Excited for Wilberforce and sure as shit hoping to see a char or two as well. ;)
Another great episode. Lots of rough water and rain. The hot food must really taste good since you cant make a fire to warm up.
I thought you already finished this trip. Oh well, it's great to see you and Ted talking with each other again.
Loving this series! The cold, wet, windy weather made my bones hurt just watching you guys, but the scenery is very beautiful. I hope you keep that shotgun within arms length when you're out in polar bear territory!

Must of been an exciting day for that rock. Spent millions of years sitting in the same spot then you come along and take it for a canoe ride lol
Sweetness
I know that wet cold feeling. Stay as warm and dry as you can 🙂
You guys rock!!!!
I got cold just watching your wet adventure.
Imagery is beautiful as usual.
Thank you 🙏 Jim. Always eagerly waiting your content. I look forward to your hunting video
I saw the paddle too when you were explaining how you lost it 😄 Great colour for visibility. Keep up the great work.
Good slog, guys! TY!
Between 17min and 18 minutes into this you see the paddle up in the rocks. Your looking at the camera. Glad you found it
Always look forward to Thursday vid!!
Just saw a broken paddle behind you there Jim, at the 18:12 minute mark.
HI JIM at 18:12 you had a paddle flotting behind you!😄
Looking good.waiting for you to hit the areas I knew.
Man, you 2 are some badass motherfers you know that :D
Shallow river, deep though
Awesome adventure cheers 🤟
Love the banter and "high level" discussions......space travel and pills to live forever. Funny!
Anchorman!!!!!!!!!😂🎉
Such an amazing trip no bungling allowed lol
I loved seeing the paddle pass you before you said you lost it lil
Thank You .Sincerely.
The moon part at the end had me laughing 😂
Saw your paddle right before you mentioned you lost it. I was like “it’s right behind you!!”
Another great video...pretty sure that quote was from Spaceballs
yyyyeeeeaaaahhhh!!!!
Some of the topography reminds of Alaska Tundra where I have fished. The Kanektok river. As the sides if the river wall s stuff off mammoth bones have been found from time to time.
Adventure motorcycle riders use radio to talk to each other on the way. In the rapids you could benefit from this also
Lol i guess a few of us spotted your lost paddle @ 18:12 mark!!
Late to the party out west, everybody found your paddle first
For the rock you added to the bow. Did you name it Wilson 😊
Rain can be nightmare even though water is good
Great to hear some rock 'n' roll while you guys rock 'n' roll
FULL full-moon is maybe why your fish went off the bite. Best time is 2 days before or 2 days after - golden rule for some of us serious fishos in Australia. Perhaps luna cycles work the same in your hemisphere?

Your paddle was at 18:13
Oh, haha, you found it, good, I saw it before Ted found it.
Way better for pasta if you cook the noodles at home, then dehydrate the sauce and noodles together, then when you just rehydrate it all like rehydrating anything.
That was a Little Nicki quote lol I just watched the other night
Your stamina is mind boggling to me. But I gotta ask: Wouldn't waterlogged neoprene gloves be warmer than bare hands?
Probably but my hands aren’t cold so I don’t really need them. Your hands also get more tired by the end of the day wearing gloves because of the added grip strength you need to use while wearing them
Lol I was kinda screaming at the screen duuuuude you missed the paddle just as you started talking about it 😂 😂
Little Nicky.
Tough going that stretch..!...eat fish first..go hungry later..🛶🎣
Paddle at 18:13
I am loving this series. And I was wondering I know these trips are really strenuous and was wondering how much average weight do you lose on these trips ? Because I can tell from the beginning of the video and by the end that you have lost weight each video.
LMAO! beauty thumbnail
Not sure if you said or not, but how long would you dehydrate the foods you make for your trips?
That Movie quote i believe is from Adam Sandlers ''Little Nikki''.
love that little moon trick!
could we have subs for all the episodes, the wind is killing the audio 😢
Yet you traveled through the tundra so you'd appreciate when you travel southwards, and maybe that's something you invent along the way, professional heated blanket ( used in emergencies of course) used to heat up the body before you get hypothermia. And I was hoping to see the waterfall in this episode cuz he keeps on talking it up guess I got to wait another week LOL
I really couldn't understand how you lost your paddle, i guess you didn't film it, something about being on shore. Great adventure though. I think you need a small spinner that part of the river? Cheers man!
Correct, the cameras weren’t rolling unfortunately

I wonder if the fish bite was off because the weather was changing.
