But how do we get to the motherboard? I would love if you explain from the start because my I pad wont turn on or charge so we think it's the charging port but we are not sure.
this tutorial is for replacing the battery but includes fully disassebling ipad which you need to do to get to the logic board www.ifixit.com/Guide/iPad+5+Wi-Fi+Battery+Replacement/88138
Hey what are you cleaning the area with when you’re using that cloth? What type of cloth is that? I know the flux and wick are used to initially clean the board if I guess the plastic material on the board? Idk what the material on the board is that you’re fluxing away.

Tried this method and ipad wont charge but can hear a clicking noise whenever plugged in. Any thoughts on what could have gone wrong? I redid the solder connections a few times thinking maybe it wasnt a great connection.
@Jose Morales or anyone, would you please share the temperature that it is recommended for the soldering iron with this type of work. Is 450 degrees to hot?
Hi, thanks so much for the video... it was very helpful. I was wondering what type of liquid flux you used? Also was that regular desoldering braid? Thanks a lot, Nick

:/ um if you still see your TH-cam post, is it okay if I ship you my ipad? It’s not charging and the charging port is not dirty, I can’t tell if it’s damaged. Hopefully I didn’t waste time typing this.
『 • RoRo Mizukia • 』 nope, I tried a working charger. It doesn’t work on my iPad and works on any other apple devices. I went to the sprint store and they said they could not fix it because the iPad was old (iPad 6th generation)
