I was extremely astonished to hear this Vivaldi flute concerto. Pahud's flute playing does not forgive any criticism. And the small string orchestra by the members of Berlin Phil is perfection itself. they gave an obvious additional value to this Vivaldi flute concerto.
It's so nice to hear the world's great symphony orchestra sounding so clear, transparent, and agile, perfectly capturing the dramatic voice of the Italian Baroque, with the great director of the Venice Baroque Orchestra- Andrea Marcon! Absolutely wonderful to see the Berliners capable of such a wide spectrum of expression.

They're so good... wunderbar! No question the Berliner Philharmoniker is a symphony of maestri. They can play anything. Any orchestra that can do THIS, especially with such simple music, knows music. The most amazing moment in this video was seeing Marcon's teleportation from the conducting podium to the keyboard, at least for the few seconds it took me to figure out the keyboard WAS the podium.

He is one of the best for sure. I also love what Zoeller did with his time in the orchestra. I would say that there is no flute player better than Pahud. Galaway still sounds great to.
