Bravo! I LOVE your operatic treatment of La notte!!!! A student is playing this, so I thought she could benefit from hearing traverso. I've heard this on recorder non and traverso, and thesis the 1st time I've heard this interpretation. Definitely will search for you more.
I think they mistakenly spliced the videos of two separate performances from the same program together. That was the French countertenor Philippe Jaroussky in an excerpt from Vivaldi's Nisi Dominus. Perhaps the entire performance is elsewhere on TH-cam.

Hai perfettamente ragione !!! More and more often, baroque ensembles try "to do it differently" or to be "the quickest worldwide" just for sake of novelty, and particularly when playing Vivaldi ! French baroque ensembles are particularly dangerous, as soloists are very good in technique, and do whatever they want in order to be unusual....another example is the same "La notte" with Spinosi and Marq (with recorder). Here on youtube too... Funny, as French ensembles, when palying French baroque music, usually respect any minimum "flattement" or "port de voix" written by Couperin, Rameau, Hotteterre etc...
Beautifully played,
Tiembla el Cuore.
Beautiful improvisation, tone, phrasing. Brava.
Bravi
Excellent slow part around 6 minutes. Beautiful and not easy to play.
So beautiful ! (from Brazil 🇧🇷)

une idée du paradis.
Really, ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡MARVELLOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful!
Bravo! Very good version. Lots of under thunder at the end to contrast the bird like flute in a storm.
10:06 Super! :)
I SILENZI!
Great
Toll
1:39~2:44
totally wicked
I was unaware of this singing at the end. Very beautifully sung and played. Is it part of La Notte then? wonder now what I have been missing
You have missed nothing. This has little to do with Vivaldi, it's a made up addition to an otherwise fine original.
This is an extract from a Nisi Dominus by Vivaldi, here “pasted” to the flute concerto @Jesusandbible @James Gregory

Does anyone know what you would call the type of flute so I could buy a more economical version.
Traverso
That's a baroque flute or 'traverso'. The model seems to be 'Rottemburgh jr" ...you can google and have access to information and flute makers.

What is the name of the orchestra?
I was wondering the same thing.
I assume that it is a Baroque flute..How much does one cost? Someone kindly let me know and what is a good place online to buy one.

why so slow?
Not as good as Pahud

Lisa Beznosiuk and The English Concert is the best version
This is baroque flute, its apples and oranges. I've never heard Pahud even perform on baroque flute.
@@postmaloneisthegoat3198 you cannot compare apples to oranges.
Pahud plays on a modern, metal flute. This is on a period instrument.
