Working as an intern I made a few friends with a few brothers, one day I walked in to our lunch area with another intern that was black and the black co worker said loudly here comes trouble. I had to tell him he should say stuff like that it gives the wrong impression. He quickly understood where I was coming from.

I went through this at my job. Anytime more than 2 of us would be talking or sitting together, we'd get a look from our coworkers.
