Yeah I’m using mine right now and it’s fast , that’s what I like about Apple they make devices that last . It’s a device from 2015 and handles anything you throw at it . I was using my HP laptop and was use to the buffering while watching video , the screen cracked and it’s in the shop . I opened my hard suitcase and pulled out the old giant iPad updated it and I’m blown away . Nothing buffers and the screen is huge I guess I got use to it and forgot about it lol . I swear it runs like a brand new high end device.

My original iPad is second generation so I waited a bit to upgrade. My original still works th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA , but the battery is bad and won't stay charged so it always has to be plugged into a power source. The new 10th generation was a great bargain for Prime Day that I couldn't pass up. It was easy enough to set up: everything came down from iCloud with no issues.
5 years later my iPad Pro still rocks.

I am still using this 1st gen Ipad pro, it is great, the only thing that I find bad is its battery life, it lasts around 7 hrs in use. while the ipad 2 lasts around 9 hrs in use. Lighter weight ipad means they put a smaller batttery ...

It's brilliant. I have had mine a while now and it sound amazing. The screen is unbelievable. You will love it. I couldn't go back to a smaller iPad screen now.
Surface is a PC with all the the bells and whistles like full PC and usb etc.. Anyway I can see the iPad pro doing well and dipping into the sells of the surface but I can see it dipping into the sells of apples own products like the MacBook air and pro
So it's bigger and faster than the old iPad, but apart from that, how is it better?...it's exactly the same!
Also how is this going to beat the Surface Pro 3, let alone the Surface Pro 4 which run a Desktop Class OS?

It's still not wide-screen, so those black bars when viewing movies will make the screen that much smaller.
i have a ipad pro 9'7" from 2015 and it works flawlessly. i use it everyday no joke. And yes its battery life is still very good
I got my wife the 2nd version of this iPad. 12.9 is just way too big 9.7 inches is decent for her To take notes in school with and draw on and watch movies and tv shows i still got the iPad 5th generation 32 GB and it’s great
I gave up on Apple years ago. Too many "issues" and no easy answers.

Hmm... To work on a tablet efficiently I need a mouse or a touchpad. iOS still doesn't allow that thus no replacement for a laptop.

Even before Apple released the pro I always wished my iPad Air had a bigger screen. I just bought the 128gb lte pro and you really have to use it to appreciate what it is. The sound is amazing. Better than some lcd TVs out there. Apps look amazing. I only had a 16g iPad so to get 128gb is huge for me. It's going to have to last me a few years and I think I'm going to be very happy with it. I didn't want the keyboard or pencil. I have a surface pro and it's never used. But I haven't put this down since I opened it. Battery life is over 12 hours for me too.
And nowadays 128 GB is the entry for the Pro lineup. I got this iPad Pro 1. Gen with 256 GB and LTE…or should we call it the 1.5 Gen iPad Pro? 😄 128 GB isn‘t enough for such a good device. It even runs iPadOS 14 buttery smooth! Amazing if you realize…it started with iOS 9 back in 2015! If we have iPadOS 15 on it? That would be great…but the dual core A9X could be to weak for it. Greetings 🍀👍🏻

vernalbug8911 I have the Surface Book 2 and the 3rd generation ipad Pro 12.9. Both have their uses. As powerful as the ipad Pro is, it still runs a mobile OS so it will never be a true laptop replacement. The iPad is so cool to use, though - especially with the Apple Pencil. Glad someone else can appreciate both systems.
As an artist, this is more convinient for me than using a desktop or a laptop. Hope that photoshop, autocad & sketchbook can run smoothly there.
+RK Acuyong Surface Pro 3 has been out for over a year and it does exactly that - you should check it out. Or perhaps the Surface Pro 4 likely coming out in October.

+Daniel San I thought the same as you did a few weeks ago and gave in and bought an iPad pro. I have never looked back. The sounds drowns out the iPad Air 2 on half volume. You have to hear it to believe it. The screen is amazing. Don't listen to all the negative comments made by those who try to compare it to a surface pro. It's not meant to be the same. They are completely different. I returned my surface for the pro as I hated it.

He said that for small screen phones which had resistive touch screens back then. It's not a stylus anyway. I don't use one with my pro.
tracey cross It's still overpriced though. 800$ for the 32gb edition, without a stylus, for a oversized tablet. IOS just isn't made for professional tasks. Important application such as the full version of Photoshop aren't available. It's better to buy a Macbook Air with a drawing pad or a Surface Pro.
Many people laugh at Apple for not including a full fledged OS on their Tablets like Microsoft does. But I think the iPad Pro is a perfect example of Apple innovating after Steve Jobs. The IPad Pro is not perfect by any means but in hindsight it enabled almost every iPad that was released afterwards to be more than just a tablet. Now you can get an iPad for many different price points and use it with pencil and keyboard. And for some that rly is enough
At Brazil this new iPad costs 9.000,00 Reais, a normal person has to work 12 months just to buy this iPad Pro.

Giovanni Cheng Pretty sure we don't know if it is a quad core or dual core processor and also, given that the a8x chip was an absolute monster for mobile computing, it's safe to say it is extremely powerful in relative terms. It also has 4gb of ram.

like i said earlier, they need to rephrase it because as you said you are only on it about 10hrs, but a day is NOT 10 hrs, a day is 24hrs. they need to rephrase that. Plus some people are on it more than 10hrs anyways

Everyone has an opinion. I'm an apple user. Having used most of all other products over a period of time. From a windows phone to the Asus epad transformer(yea, who remembers that one. Lol. Dope). But in seeing this, it's not a pro unless it can do OS X accomplishments. Until I can browse files(for real), stick a usb drive in it, then it'll be a "pro". Until then, I'll still with my jb iPad Air and MacBook Pro
