I just got a drive shaft through Tom woods for my 89 yj, easy easy easy no hassle at all. Also Robbie I’ve been seeing really nice looking steel braided break line extender . I’ve been looking at that for the yj myself
FYI the JL front driveshafts don't spin in 2wd the way that the JKs do because of the FAD. You'd be fine mashing around in 2wd while you waited for your driveshaft - you might of already known this, but for anyone that doesn't. Most people seem to roll with stock driveshafts up to 3.5" lift (over a rubicon), but you'll run into some interference on the crossmemeber if you have enough droop. I have 40k mi on my stock driveshaft on 3" lift, no issues so far Nice video and badass jeep!
That new driveshaft has what called a “Double cardan”. It’s the same on my 99 XJ. When you lift a Cherokee, and you do a SYE install into the transfer case, you can take the front driveshaft (which is a double cardan frok factory” and bolt it right onto the rear!
Have you ever thought of making phone cases and garage banners for the store? I have two jet tags, two hoodies, and two shirts plus 3 stickers on my car. I would love garage banners or phone cases
Cool I was curious as to the name to i was thinking a double knuckle cuz how it pivots but ty I like knowing/learning the facts to things as knowledge is power my friend ... peace n love brotha stay safe n again ty for knowlage bomb
Love the whole variety u bring to the table my brotha ... stay rad and keep on building my brotha and I will keep following like and telling others ✌🏽🤘🏼💪🏽
blow up my stock front driveshaft on the DEC 27. I just got my front drive in from Adam driveshaft for my jeep. order it on DEC 28th and it shipped the next day. and i live in Canada. but great that you got it done, now you can drive it hard. :D.
the "part" you dont understand is just a CV joint. Common on audi's and other german cars on the driveshafts. Other makers use them obviously but I see this style the most on german cars.
I rented an SUV for a week for Thanksgiving break, Enterprise messed up and rented out the SUV and gave me a 4 door wrangler instead. It was the automatic, it shifts very smooth and got surprisingly good MPG in the highway for a vehicle shaped like a refrigerator (about 25MPG).
I can’t speak for the manual but the auto is the same as the one in the chargers, minus the diesel one, but it’s super smooth and there’s no trouble spots really
Get you a Warn or Stallion winch if you want the best. Harbor Freight Badland Apex Winch for a budget, or the Aliexpress winch for ultra budget. Aliexpress winch is the same as Smitty bilt but with a different housing but is less than $200.
Both the stock joint and the new joint are considered CV - constant velocity. As others have pointed out, the new one is called a double cardan. The stock one is called an rzeppa joint. pretty cool, but more likely to fail at steep angles.
You should take off your air dam it looks better without and is really doesn’t add any protection it’s a shitty plastic that will get torn through anyway

Not much into the other cars but I stumbled on the Jeep vid and have been following from day one. Looking amazing.
9:00 lol. I've taken my jeep patriot on some jacked up trails. Lol I need a metal skid plate.
They're called double cardan joints Robbie. Great for drivelines with steep angles, but a pain in the ass to rebuild when they go bad.

Happy 2022 everyone

I have the same creeper. Princess Auto for the win 👌
Wranglers do have ridiculously hot heat for some reason. So good choice for winter vehicle.
Your content is great!
Any update on Jasmine?
Love the whole variety u bring to the table my brotha ... stay rad and keep on building my brotha and I will keep following like and telling others ✌🏽🤘🏼💪🏽

Did you put red lock tight on there but factory came with blue lock tight ?
Off topic but new budget build should be a motorcycle, maybe a Honda Grom 😁

What year is your jeep
The older I get, the more and more I like jeeps 👀
Really need to get the new wheels On there
Should have gone to Driveline in Whitby would have built you one in a couple days
I've been interested in JLs a lot lately and yours is the perfect spec. I'm torn between the zf and the 6 speed. How do you like the manual?

you should get some HID or LED bulbs for the head lights on the jeep
Get you some extra U joints and keep your old drive shafts. When you get into hardcore trail riding, you will shatter your shafts.
Get you a Warn or Stallion winch if you want the best. Harbor Freight Badland Apex Winch for a budget, or the Aliexpress winch for ultra budget. Aliexpress winch is the same as Smitty bilt but with a different housing but is less than $200.
Looking forward to those steel bumpers!
Driveshaft must be at least Bluetooth 5.0 comon... keep grinding bro!
This jeep build is growing on me, I was sad when you sold the truck but this keep is sick total trail warrior 🤘🏼
Hell Yeah Brother
I miss the old videos
That weird joint is a cv joint if I remember correctly. Much like on the axles.
It’s called a double cardan the joint up top

Sine the pic on instagram, thought it was finally an s-10 video. Sadly another jeep.
Hey Robbie, next you should get Bluetooth Wheels 😅😅😅
Please bro START WEARING PROPER WINTER SOCKS.
your jeep was a sema truck as long as the driveshaft wise
Where you at Brad?

You front driveshaft does not spin in 2wd
Not gonna lie. 8:27 thought you were taking a leak....
I Dont use my jeep enough either LOL
How fast are you goin in 4wd 😂
Sometimes I get the notification, sometimes I don’t 😅

I still don't understand how you can be with a hoodie in winter. These canadians are cold blooded, I guess
Leeeeeeets go ❤️🔥
I'm back lol
Yooo what’s up
You should take off your air dam it looks better without and is really doesn’t add any protection it’s a shitty plastic that will get torn through anyway
Ugh. My wifes Subaru Crosstrek can tackle that. Dude, wheel that thing, and post videos. Until then, just stop.
