I'm shooting something this weekend and was opting for the Rode, until I came across this video. Really appreciate how you made it honest and practical. Equipment should be easy to use. Thanks!
Thanks for the comparison though I think I would've rather seen a breakdown with the Rode Wireless Pro VS DJI Mic 2 or Rode Wireless II VS Rode Wireless Pro or Rode Wireless II VS. DJI Mic 1. Things the Rode Wireless Pro has that you didn't get to mention. 1. It's 32-bit float 2. It has a charging case 3. It records internally 4. It has a magnetic clip 5. Timecode synching 6. Locking lavs 7. It comes with 2 lavs Things to know about the Rode Wireless Go II. 1. It's 24-bit which is still pretty decent. You didn't actually get it to clip even when you tried. Generally your camera is going to be 24 or even 16-bit, so you may not get much advantage out of plugging a 32-bit float system into it. 2. The Rode Wireless Go II can record internally. Even the Rode Wireless Go I can do that. Things that seemed oddly glossed over in your review. 1. The quality of the recording. It's subjective, but I think I like the warmer sound of the Rode system. DJI was a bit tinny. Is the low cut filter on? Frankly not a huge deal, but it seemed like a missing element of your review. 2. It sounded like the DJI started dropping off at about the same point. That or the windscreen was bumping around. This was the first review I came across when trying to figure out if the DJI mic is a good fit for me. I've been using Wireless Go for years. Your review just seemed a little lacking and slanted towards the DJI. So I watched a few other reviews that did a better job sussing out all the details.
I have the rode wireless go 1, which has been fine, but now using a secondary camera I need a separate mic and seriously considering the DJI Set up and your video has basically made my mind up. Thank you.

I’m getting the Go ii because someone is selling the single set for half the price but I do see people switch from the Rode mics to the DJI mics
They’re good, watch for audio levels being too loud is the only thing I’d say, keep them lower and boost them in post
Very Nice vídeo!
