It's nice seeing someone else building a Turbo E36 that wants it to be as mint as possible. I did my best on mine with the resources I had and I'm super happy with it.
i Dont know if you will ever see this jimmy but this video saved me such a headache, i cleaned up and painted my M3 brakes and when i bled them i had no brakes in the front still, after watching this video and hearing you mention the bleed nipples have to be up i rushed to the garage and sure thing i had the calipers on the wrong sides. you saved me so much time as i was going to just try and rebleed them. Also if you didnt know your old M LCA's you can swap out the ball joints with 1986 E30 ball joints and they just press in. they are %100 the same. however the ones you used ( Not Oem) they are bigger diameter outers and cant be swapped out, id swap your ball joints on the OEM ones and keep them as spares as its very cheap to do so. Thanks again
You’re so good at what you do bro you perfect your craft and actually build cars. Been watching you since my sophomore year in high school and that was sum 3 and a half years. Still doing your thang
Diff is still a 188 in the us m3's i think, so not really beefier, but the axels are. the 3,2 euro m3 got the big boy 210 diff, but they still suffer from breaking the rear diff cover, braces are recomended
jimmy if you can get hold of a oem m3 shifter they are actually very good, those chassis mounted shifters dont really work on cars without solid engine mounts because they get misaligned when the engine and gearbox move, i had one on my rally car and had to switch back to a oem m3 shifter
Jimmy that flex disc ‘guibo’ on the transmission is mounted on the wrong holes @12:53, it’ll destroy itself like that when you drive it, needs to me moved round one !
hi Jimmy that shifter is for rallye purpos if your in the saet your hand have a shorter way to the shifter if you put the flyoff brake handle next to it every thing is in hands riech from the staeringwehl
Are you sure that the solid diff bushings aren't the rear subframes front solid bushings since the have the bore out for the stud you removed just a thought
So the difference between the front control arms is that one set takes a centered control arm bushing and the other takes an offset one. Reason for this is because one set applies more caster than the other. So you can achieve max caster by using the wider set control arms, replace the ball joints (you can press them out) and get the offset bushings. You don’t have to buy new ones. I believe the 95 m3’s came with a wider set of control arms, so if you pair those up with a late model m3 control arm bushing you’ll get some real nice caster and handle great. Only downfall is it will push your wheel forward and possibly interfering with fender, bumper, and nose panel piece.
You need to electrical tape the coilover threads after you finish adjusting the height of the car to kepp the threads like new for adjusting later ,peace from Zagreb,Croatia
Jimmy i have an e36 and i'm going crazy QUARANTINED yay. I want to fix the power steering pump on it and replace a dead battery so i could drive that bih. NOT LOOSING MY MIND HERE.

It seems like tht disc isnt for that caliper, please check tha the brakepads surface is 100% on the disc. Im fokd up that on my car too last year, tje pads were smaller than the disc requires and hanged out from the edge of the disc too.
That lower control arm was bent from a big j hook used on tow trucks. Common on those cars and many others when tow drivers dont pay attention to what they are hooking too
yo Jimbo idk if ur tie rod end is on the right way i was lookin when u put everything together and i know the tie rod has a curve in it for when u steer it allows clearance for the wheel to turn idk if im right but if u have any prolems in the future w steering it could be that like i said tho i dont really know my shit it just caught my eye when i seen u put the front arms together the curve in the tie rod looked like it was facing the wrong way
@@no_vids804 But we're talking about words, not letters, right? The two Es being side by side make it the long E vowel sound. So you're pronouncing the word "buh E". This build is good. You have to drift it when there are no cars close xd. E36 was (accidentally) made to drift. It drives so well.

If you seriously believe this car wont be drifted and destroyed, please hit me up for a smoking deal on some ocean front property in North Texas.
