    Beautiful project! I'm a fan of glider planes! I hope that soon you can upload the STLs of your projects to carry them out, I live in Puerto Madryn, Argentina ... It would be great to see the landscapes from above with these planes! Regards!

      Sorry but project was canceled - it was attempt for more performance oriented glider but with this technology didnt workout - too heavy and stiffness still not there - mayby CFLWPLA will be avaible in near future...

    Very interesting, which profile did you choose? Elliptical form worked perfect for my flightboard - and so it will for your project i think. Very happy to seeing more people use LW-PLA as it truely brings a new dimension to 3d printed rc-planes. Keep on posting :) Greetings from Austria.

      profile is based on MS1987 and is modified along wing.First time using this profile so will see... ;)

    This is looking really neat - can you write about how you achieved that glossy finish on Gonzo glider wings and fuselage ? I saw a lot of sanding is involved and painting on final - did you use primer just spray colors - how many layers?

      Lots of work...first sanding then spray filler and sanding again....few times if needed then primer and standard acrylic car spray 3 layers...in my next projects I'm gonna avoid painting for all cost ;)
      I really like matt paint on ASW cannopy - little sanding, two layers of paint and nice result but not glossy..

    Great looking design. Despite you mentioning in the comments that the work is cancelled- would you consider releasing the design? With LW-PLA and drilling carbon fibre tubes in the wing, I suspect the necessary stiffness and weight reductions can be achieved.

      Hi, model was printed in LWPLA and with carbon tubes but to get smooth skin walls had to be thick, plus paint and I got brick ....model wasnt fully abandoned , very soon I will release similar size glider - half of weight - and will be for free.....

I have a traditional built Astroflight Californian whose fuselage is a perfect match to yours but my wing has a dihedral for more low speed stability. I definitely will give your plane a 3D print once you release it! I am subscribed so I will be following!

    Witam, czy sprzedaje pan te samoloty? Czy trzeba samemu sobie posklejać czy tylko poskładać tak jak np. ARTF?

      Cześć, na sprzedaż są pliki STL do wydruku na drukarce 3d ze specjalnego filamentu LW-PLA firmy Color FAbb , na tą chwilę dostępny jest tylko AWS 28

      @@airfectionrcgliders Dzięki bardzo, myslałem ze jest gotowy bez elektroniki, też latam samolotami ale szukam coś wiekszego. 3 metrowy szybowiec to byłoby to, ale niestety nie mam drukarki wiec bede musiał kupic gotowca. Pozdrawionka

      This project is abandoned, You could use this fuselage to make mould but this model was designed to 3d print with long nose to compensate tail weight.
      Airfoil was also bad choice in this case and v-tail mount should be different for composite model.
      Overall this design is not suitable for composite conversion :(

      Gonzo was an attempt for fast and agile slope glider - fast mean stiff and agile - light.
      With current technology its impossible to do both.
      So my next slope glider will be light at least... :)

      @@airfectionrcgliders we've been experimenting with LW PLA which most of your newer models seem to be based on but LW-PLA is soo fragile. Do these LW-PLA gliders last with normal use? I think a slope glider needs to be PLA or PETG as slope landings tend to ocassionally involve bushes. What's your thoughts?

      @@jamied6440 Every glider is fragile, if You had in hand F3/5J glider is very easy to make dent on surface.
      I fly ASW 28 almost year now and is fine, no sign of degeneration of LWPLA.

      Hi, I'm sorry but project was canceled - after some testings I desided to stop developing this model.Went out too heavy and airfoil also didnt workout :( but stay tuned I'm currently designing two new gliders using this experience so looking forward for testings.
