This is one of my grail watches. I have some entry level swiss watches, Tissots, Hamiltons, and some Citizen dive watches, a Dan Henry etc. But this is my next watch purchase. Yearly sales bonuses are being paid this week! Nice review! Thanks for going over all the details. I'm in love with it too 😍
With the brands you mentioned having, you already have a respectable collection. This Tudor will be a nice addition. Happy you enjoyed the review. Thank you for the kind words. God speed you in getting a BB54.
Those models would be awesome to compare and contrast with this watch. Unfortunately getting access to those models would be difficult for me. Thank you for your compliment! Made my day.
I've had the BB54 for 3 months and it is absolutely incredible. The only way I would improve this, a longer travel on the T-Fit. I wish for no other watch at any price point for my 6.5" wrist.
This comment speaks to me, because while you own the ranger and want the BB54, I own the BB54 and have been considering the ranger lol. Thank you for your compliment. Means a lot.
Great review! I like that you took your time to fully discuss this watch's details that are important to you. One question that I cant really find an answer to: What material are the hands made of?
Its the best purist's watch on the market today no matter the price Its everything a purist wants and needs without any distractions on the dial, bezzle, case or the bracelet Its perfect
Well stated. I often say if I see someone wearing a Rolex, there’s a probability they don’t know much about watches. When I see a Tudor, on the other hand, on someone’s wrist, it leads me to assume they know a thing or two about horology.
Beautiful watch! I just got mine been wearing it alot! Getting way more wrist time than the bb58 925 and the gmt 2 lol. I love the rubber strap looks too, waiting on the special order to come in. What is your wrist size?
Thanks! Wrist: 6.25. Probably larger since I have a little weight on me, but making a daily effort to get to a healthy weight again. I considered going to the AD to get the strap just to have it, but it costs $600 for some rubber and an additional clasp. I’ll just wait till one pops up on eBay. NATO and Erika’s Originals straps does the job for now, though the case never leaves the bracelet.
Still waiting for the rubber strap coming in from Geneva they said. In the mean time i got it on a custom made black leather alligator strap with the original t-fit clasp and end links and it looks great 👍 😊
@@musclemania332 I may get that strap, but believe I’d opt for a tropic strap, instead. Love the OEM bracelet, though. Happy to hear you’re still enjoy it.
Stuff like that happens to all analog watches regardless of price, man. If you have your warranty card, Tudor will take care of you. Your AD even may give you a new one in exchange for your faulty one. If Tudor doesn't make things right, it becomes an issue. You can rightfully complain and put Tudor on blast on social media.
Diver's 65. Those line of Oris models has faux riveted bracelets. Similar midsize diver language as the mid-50s Submariners. I've known some that wanted a BB58, and settled with an Oris 65. Jody of JOMW, for example, did just that; I think he later got his BB58.
It;s perfect. Only two things i would change: 1) I would prefer the rose logo instead of the shield on the dial, 2) i would prefer lug holes like the original 50;s Subs had. That's all
Again, friend, just giving a little constructive criticism. That's a long video for one watch review. Most watch reviews are shorter for a reason. People like a shorter video. And, to be honest, few watches command a review over 30 minutes. This simple complication watch isn't one of them. Peace out ✌ I wish you luck. @@RabbitWatchShop
@@bettersteps I’m not most watch reviewers. I do this as a side hobby in my spare time, not to earn money, subs, or anything. If it is too long, click out and watch another person’s review. I’m staying true to myself; not changing anything. I’ve received several compliments of my long thorough reviews. While it may be a simple watch to you, it isn’t in reality. Toodles 👋🏻
There is not waiting list for Tudor, when you wont Rolex they ofer you Tudor and its almost must, but too me they are all similar and overpriced peaces.
There is, more correctly, a waiting list for Tudor. And Rolex will never tell you to go to the Tudor AD. Two different ADs. Overpriced applies to Rolex due to high demand, not Tudor. Tudor has reasonable prices
I like the look of a diver’s watch but that rotating bezel is only useful if you actually use it for diving. To me, it looks a bit silly considering that the watch is too expensive for a real diver to risk using it for work. It is like driving a Ferrari in a 30 mph speed zone, expensive and flashy and beautifully made but no more useful than a cheap car.
I understand your points; however, us dive watch lovers mainly buy them for their ruggedness, high water resistance, and of course the looks. The bezel can actually be used as a timer. I sometimes use the bezel, for example, to time things I am cooking. Majority of certified professional divers will only use a traditional, obsolete dive watch as a backup to their dive computers; they’ll usually use a ISO certified Seiko or Casio Frogman. When professional divers take Rolex and Tudor on their dives, they take them to photograph and take video of them, or to simply enjoy them while they have a dive computer. I personally wouldn’t care about traditional watches if divers didn’t exist. I’d just wear an Apple Watch or G-Shock. And I’d definitely prefer a frogman or dive computer during dives. Lume is difficult to see under water, even when the watch has great lume.
@@RabbitWatchShop Well, there is no right or wrong here, only personal preferences. I recently bought a Seiko “Dress KX” which looks like a diver’s watch but without the rotating bezel. It is nicely made and finished and very much cheaper than Rolex or Tudor, I love it and also saved all that money…….
@@RabbitWatchShop I really recommend the Seiko SRPE series, I have the one with the very deep royal blue dial. As everybody says though, the bracelets they come with are not quite up to the high quality of the watch. Do you see new Tudor watches as a good investment? I imagine that you would get most of the money back if you sell it, maybe even make a profit? I think that these Seikos will always find buyers but I doubt that they will increase in value.
@@majordendrocopos I don’t see Tudor as investment watches. The modern models rarely increase in value. The only model that has is the discontinued Black Bay Heritage 41 with the ETA movement and rose brand dial. Most Black Bays, including the wildly popular BB58 series, takes a bit of a hit on the gray market. I’ve seen blue BB58s for as little as $2,500, when they originally cost about $4k. But that’s on the rare low end without a bracelet. Vintage and neo-vintage Tudors, especially the Submariners, are continuing to increase in value. That’s the only Tudors that I consider investment pieces. I personally don’t buy any watch as an investment. I sometimes buy watches and resale them for higher prices, especially hot hard-to-acquire models.
This is the best BB54 review, by far.

Black Bay 54 is better for the money than the Rolex Submariner😁
While the Rolex Submariner is superior to any Tudor diver, the Black Bay 54 is a better value.

Fox rivets? Faux is pronounce Foh. Just FYI.
@@grneal26 😂 yeah, someone corrected me on this before. I now know the difference.
The fake rivets are silly. Why design a bracelet with fake rivets on the side ?
I find it such a shame to an otherwise almost perfect watch.
It’s a point of contention for most. I get it. There’s aftermarket bracelets without rivets that allow you to keep the T-fit. And there’s the Pelagos
👍
