  • Not everyone has access to, or the funds for, a dual-extrusion 3D printer, or a multi-material solution like the Mosaic Palette 2. We're here to help you design and 3D print multi-color creations with a single-extruder 3D printer. #dualextrusion #multicolor3dprinting #3dprinterhack

    What print will you attempt first using these methods? Have you already printed something using one of these methods?

    I'm having a harder time understanding the process for the top layer inlay method. It's the only one I haven't tried. The picture in the article helps, but I wish you would have elaborated the process with a few clips of the model in your software then it going together on the print bed like you did with the other methods. I guess my biggest hangup is that Devin's method has everything starting on the build plate, whereas you say the last builds on top of the second (gray filament, in your example). My lack of experience is calibrating where the Z height of the final print job starts so there is no nozzle crashing. Hopefully I've understood this right. Thanks for the tips!

    Is 0.4mm height good? I thought only 0.2mm (1 layer) is good to prevent the nozzle from touching the 1st color.

    Does Matter Control 2.0 Have or will get dual extrusion like Cura has?

    • @MatterHackers
      @MatterHackers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MatterControl already contains several hardware profiles that support dual extrusion - if you're looking for a particular 3D printer profile, email support@matterhackers.com for more info.

    damn. can you make a separate tutorial on the "sanding and clear coat" cause I mean I do sanding and all too but I never get it that well. not to mention complicated prints are really hard to sand cause the paper won't reach some places

    Too fast. To simplified with bigger words than I was able to follow it.
    If I want to pause it to change the color, where can I find the place in my code to make the change (that seems the easiest way to do it from what I understood of your talk)?
