This was a fantastic walk in Scarborough! I really enjoyed the sights and lovely walk by the water to the lighthouse! Definitely a place I would want to visit. 👍😊🇨🇦

Hi Nick & Jill you have made a great film from a very scenic Scarborough. Thought I was back in my spiritual woods with the noise of many planes flying overhead. So many JBP it took my breath away. Best/favourite part for me was the military youngster cadets marching in. All youngsters should by law have to do some kind of disciplined military training (could even simply be Scouts/Guides organisations). FIVE STAR FILM ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ah yes your absolutely right Mike. I taught two years at a private school and all children had to do military training. I had to pass out as an Army Cadet Officer and we took the kids on a lot of military training and wild camps. We had to offer as much Pastoral additional support as possible to fit in. I ran abseiling, mountain biking, self defence and cough, cough Chess. Really enjoyed it and whilst you work a lot longer hours in the private sector it was very rewarding. I have well and truly done my time in State too. 😱😱

Yes id say it’s definitely worth it and of quite recent they have gone to great lengths to accommodate the number of vans visiting the area. there are lots of free parking and chemical waste facilities. all very new! looking forward to friday, taking a gamble, its only a short and out of our comfort zone.😱 lots of love xx
Great tour of Scarborough. Never been and there looks some good spots. A tad busy in places but there looks one or two places a hermit could hide out. The harbour area was cool 👍
yes its a bit crazy in the summer Paul, to be honest, we prefer the quieter places too. we filmed the exact same route in the winter and think we only passed four people. it was always my intention to re film it in the summer. i’ll do a comparison video at some point. we fly out and in of London Stanstead most years and thats hectic enough not been into the Capital for about a decade. I used to work there in the 90s, not only have i seen it deteriorate in terms of gangs and safety but the numbers there, even in off peak times is just crazy. not for us, well done on surviving it 👍
@@GENerationXplorers it was about a decade since I'd been to London. I will say I won't be in a hurry to return that's for sure. I also had to walk thro city centre Manchester on the way home and in some regards that was even worse. Horrible places!
Ah they aren’t they Paul? manchester and london were both places i adored visiting in the 80s and early 90s as a child. I worked both places in the late 90s early 00s and oh my days, its just not appealing at all. Massive crime on an unbelievable scale. I don’t scare too easy but both places i would go out of my way to avoid now. Always feels like no matter the occasion you have a target on your head. Not for us. Not when so many incredible places and mountains beckon 👍

A lovely tour around Scarborough, great that there are so many benches for folks to enjoy the day. I've not ventured to the end you've started before, so something to remember for our next trip. I love the views from the bridge and the centre of the roundabout you wouldn't usually see. Wow it does get busy by the front though, but then I guess it is an event day! Must be great for their economy though. Loved seeing the cadets!!

I know from previous years that we dont have the capability to film air show events in any detail and then break the internet with a seagull event like a certain channel? Not a chance, not on our watch! We will leave that to the experts! But it gave a great impression of how busy it can get and at some point i’ll try to edit a very crafty comparison video with the exact same route i filmed in winter when nobody was about. Maybe there is merit in that? In the meantime we are about to throw you know what to the wall and do a Cornish Pasty video. Well out of our remit, lets see if it sticks! ♥️🥂🍻

Hi Ms Kayak do not apologise we know you are currently an injured soldier! That alarm was a mobile Paramedic as a lady had passed out, too much sun and probably mixed with alcohol! Yes The Armed Forces Day is a huge event in Scarborough (and other parts of 🇬🇧) where we all show our appreciation so they are all there and end the day with a parade through the town! we are not sure what the diving lady signifies will have to look more into that! thanks for another awesome comment! get well ❤️🩹 soon

We really feel like we already know Scarborough thanks to you two! We could hear old planes!!! Was there an airshow at the event? It’s such a lovely place, I hope we can visit this summer. Stunning day for this walk. Looks busy! Oo I spy a Ferris wheel. Looks like a fun event - medical emergency and all! Loved the old vehicles and seeing all the military out in uniform. Cracking walking tour. 🍻
Thank you so much guys, couldn’t resist grabbing this footage. I know from previous years that we dont have the capability to film air show events in any detail and then break the internet with a seagull event like a certain channel? Not a chance, not on our watch! We will leave that to the experts! But it gave a great impression of how busy it can get and at some point i’ll try to edit a very crafty comparison video with the exact same route i filmed in winter when nobody was about. Maybe there is merit in that? In the meantime we are about to throw you know what to the wall and do a Cornish Pasty video. Well out of our remit, lets see if it sticks! ♥️🥂🍻

Hi Ms Kayak do not apologise we know you are currently an injured soldier! That alarm was a mobile Paramedic as a lady had passed out, too much sun and probably mixed with alcohol! Yes The Armed Forces Day is a huge event in Scarborough (and other parts of 🇬🇧) where we all show our appreciation so they are all there and end the day with a parade through the town! we are not sure what the diving lady signifies will have to look more into that! thanks for another awesome comment! get well ❤️🩹 soon

you crazy kids. you find such fun things to do! really enjoyed this straightforward walking tour. the sounds/people were fun to listen to (well the seagulls were a bit shriek-y 😉). when you (or someone there sneezed at 5:10, i habitually said "bless you" 🤣 guess i was really in the moment. 🛴❤
