    Hello, noticed you were using a propane torch to dry before applying… could you list the tools and capacity used for job? Currently using a heat gun to dry out a very few select paver joints before applying so that zero water moisture is left behind before starting. Wondering if the propane can speed this up without charring or if this was being used for weeds instead

      Sorry for late response Tyler, but for other people reading I will reply. The torch was used simply to dry out the block paving. Would rake out and fill the joints with kiln dried sand prior. Other tools needed would be a scuttle, rollers, maybe a squeegee, the odour is quite strong so a mask could be a good idea as well.

    I thought block paving was supposed to be porous to allow for drainage. Seal it and you'll have puddles.

      If the people who lay pavers correctly and level everything to the drains they’ll be no problem

      I think you are right if sealed there's no place for the water to drain off could be dangerous in icy conditions

    • @BradleyCroshaw
      @BradleyCroshaw 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Standard block paving is not porous and should have a fall into drainage, there is a type of porous paving that is laid on fine grit/stone above a larger stone sub base which acts as a soak away, you could not use resin seal on the porous kind…. But in this instance it’s a very effective and useful product and will save you a lot of maintenance in the future

    Hi,
    Should I seal before or after sanding?
    Thank you

    • @WavScorn259

      Sealing is always done last.
      So, for example i am using a turbo lance and pressure washing my block paved driveway, the order of process is; Turbo wash, rinse, soft wash, chemical treatment sodium hypo if necessary, wait to dry then sand it, apply weed killing solution if it was really weed infested, wait to dry, blow off area for any loose sand or debris & apply first coat of sealer. Depending on the type of sealer and personal choice, you could do multiple coats

    It keeps the weeds away for one year. Then they start to appear again. It’s very expensive. I did my blocks and I get weeds just like before it was applied. I’m very unhappy with its performance.
