It's really nice to see the videos getting a lot more positive commentaries because you are truly a great TH-camr and anyone who disagrees can take a hike or try to make a channel as successful as this themselves.
This is by far your cleanest video... Those panning shots of the raptor with the snow running across the ground were beautiful.

That does sound great. I did hear Ford was going to make a 4.8 eco-boost v8 for the F-150 so maybe they've listened to all the complaining everyones done and decided just to make what people want. lol. the way i think of it is they are like, "we'll use the smallest powerhouse we have then if we really need to well step it up and use the ttv8." I mean think about it they won Le Mans with a TTV6 imagine if they used a TTV8 for it.

Where do you live because it seems like Tesla, and the Chevy Volts are popping up here. More Prius owners too.
FYI: according to the "Raptor Supplement", in Baja Mode, the 4WD system/transfer case is also automatically placed into 4 High.

I daily a 17’ Raptor. It’s nothing short of awesome. Plus my kids get to ride around in a tank everyday.

Good Vid! When you get a chance, I'd like to see a review of the 2014 Raptor and your thoughts having been in both.
I used to have the previous generation with the 6.2 liter. I like how the new generation looks but i can't get over the new exhaust note.
I have to say that the videos are very professional and you have put up with the hate very well.
I think the EcoBoost name is a gimmick. Doesn't offer the fuel economy they are really advertising, at least on the V6. The six cylinder has to keep up with the performance of the V8 so those turbos aren't really used for economy, but more for power.

Uh... not sure if you've driven one but if anything it feels more effortless than a v8 with the same power. You'd have to be dip into 6.2 or 6.4 v8 to get the same power... you think those get the same fuel economy as the ecoboost? Doubtful.

I would say maybe try a twin turbo and roots type supercharged 4.0L v8 with that transmission and you should be able to still get decent gas mileage and a brilliant amount of power.
A good reference for an engine setup similar to what I'm referring to is the vicious Mustang build that Jay Leno showed off on his TH-cam channel a week or two ago. it is a 65 Mustang but it has the voodoo engine in it out of the gt350 making 1000hp.
You need a camera/drone truck, Parker! This is perfect!

Good job Ford! How about a 2 door Wrangler Rubicon with it's factory mud-terrains, soft top, short wheelbase and manual transmission? How do people manage on their commute in stop and go traffic, 45 min there, 45 min back? That must be nearly INSANE, whether it's on the off-road or off the on-road!

That engine has good fuel economy infact right up there with the ecoboost and less we forget SOUNDS A HELL OF ALOT BETTER
I hope to see somebody stuff a 5.0 in the new raptor and maybe adding a couple of turbo chargers because that would be a hell of a fast truck if that was the case

Tommy Davenport obviously not, but they've said the V8 just wouldn't of gave it the power they were looking for. (Just V8 no turbos) Plus the V6 is so much better for me because I live in very high altitude
Just noise? The V8s do produce a nice and unique melody. It would be better with a V8, that is obvious.
They could have built a 3.5L TT V8 that sounds amazing. Instead they took the marginally cheaper route and built a V6, that will make your truck sound like a Honda Accord. A reduction in displacement does not have to equal a reduction in cylinder count.
What you think that hennessey is going to do with this one for the new velociraptor?

The only negative comment I ever hear about the Raptor is the sound of the engine. Although I’d worry about 1 or 2 turbos failing and having to repair them, the sound is a very minor issue. Frankly, I want as little sound as possible........and I don;t care what anyone else hears as I’m leaving t them in the dust.
4L v8 ecoboost with a flatplane crank that can go to 8500 rpm would be awsome

Ashish Patel I work at a Ford Dealership in Florida, the F150 will come with a diesel in the coming years, No word on the Raptor having one but there is a possibility
Diesels are heavy.
Ashish Patel the Ram Powerwagon has a diesel, also chevy has a diesel version of their off-road Colorado if I'm not mistaken
because it would be way to nose heavy to jump.
Parker i watch your videos all the time. If you can get your hands on one do a review of the 2016 or 2017 Camaro you didn't do those yet. If you really can plz do the 2017 zl1

got a brand new car and i drove at 100 km in 5th gear and 5 to 6 times i drove in 2nd gear insted of 1st at a speed of below 8km/h is there a chance my engine might have been damaged

Look at it like this: if this huge 5000+ truck and go from 0-60 in 5 secs,; I’m seriously fine with it being a v6 good job Ford for figuring those numbers for gas and weight distribution
awesome video man, but whomever told you that the actual engine has been upgraded over the normal 2017 f150 was wrong because as a I am a wholesale parts distributor for a Ford dealer I can tell you both a 2017 f150 XL, XLT\, Lariat, Platinum, Limited and King Ranch with a 3.5 ecoboost all have the same engine assembly part number which means they are the exact same. Now I know not everyone has access to this information that's why I wanted to spread the new that it is just a programming difference. I understand that the dealers are falsely advertising these ecoboost engines to be COMPLETLY different over the stock when it is just an engine tune that is different, they are completely similar from air filter to oil pan. Now the rest of the truck SPOT ON dude its a beast for sure!

The blowoff valves make the "pshh" noise, not the wastegate.....
People who are buying Raptors are not looking for great gas mileage, but it is ironic enough that the eco-boost barely saves any gas on this truck. I would not buy the 2017 just because of the v6. Nothing is ever like a v8, I dont care what ford says. Still a great truck though.
yea the eco-boost bs is just a buzzword. Most all of them have crap gas mileage. Would of loved to have seen the horses they could of got out of it with a proper tuned/turbo'd v8.

Your Eco-boost is a different engine than the one in the raptor.
Ford did a great job, a lot of new improvements, more power, technology and safety features... and the people are still complaining about the engine, there are some V8 options in the market yet, I don't see any other manufacture putting effort to develop a gas V8 twin turbo or supercharged, the cost, complexity and emissions regulations probably are the reason.
Are indicators an optional extra? Never seen anyone driving a vehicle like this signal before
Word on the street has it that there will be a new 5.0 EcoBoost V8 option coming next year.
Hey man love your videos but when you’re editing them and adding the audio tracks for things like the intro music, feature music, etc. you really need to start mastering them so that all the audio levels are equal on playback. Right now your intro is probably twice as loud as your mic during your videos, it’s really easy to master your tracks just google it and it’ll be simple if your familiar with video editing

I'd love to get my hands on a 2017 Raptor but I went with a ZL1 instead but don't think I won't try to get one ☝️
I don't think ford wanted the V6 with the a 10 speed transmission to economical as the as they wanted the truck to have much better performance, if the truck had the V8 it wouldn't be up to performance and much different to the prev gen, turbos do add lot of performance so the V8 really was not needed for any reason other than it being a V8
