He's actually sitting during the entire song, that's unusual and he didn't even set fire to his piano. Definitely one of his tamer performances.

Jerry Lee Lewis was one of the more flamboyant & wilder rock & roll singers of the time in the 50's-60's. He was nicknamed "The Killer". His piano playing & showmanship were legendary. He had a lot of hits such as "Breathless", "Wild One", "High School Confidential", "What'd I Say", "Another Place, Another Time" etc. His career faltered for a time when he married his 13-year-old cousin.

Even though segregation was still a strong thing in the country not just in the Southern United States. There were always certain clubs where the black and white people would go to. An as long as you knew how to carry yourself and where respectful. Everything would be fine

Jerry Lee Lewis was Elvis' 2nd cousin. His personal life was a bit of a train wreck, but when it came to music he was gifted. And that's why we are here, the music, and Jerry was the consummate musician, a very active piano player, and he would sing and play the hell out of a song. This is a very tame performance!

Jimmy Swaggart. You might also want to check some of his country music from the 60s and 70s. You aren't likely to find a bad one by The Killer

Dude has been around forever, and was around a bunch of legends in the 50's. Like Elvis and Johnny Cash.. He and Elvis roles were casted in the Johnny Cash movie called "Walk the Line".
You can see an older Jerry Lee Lewis featured in the Johnny Cash music video "God's Gonna Cut You Down", that was made after Johnny's passing.. Lots of stars in that video.
