Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on TH-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on TH-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on TH-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

He's got freakin' Dave Edmunds on guitar! Sweet!
1950s rock was wild: Jerry Lee, early Elvis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry to name a few of the headliners. The establishment decided it had to be tamed, thus the early 1960s. Then came the British invasion in the mid 60s. But these trailblazers should not be forgotten.
This is Rock and Roll!
Jerry Lee and Little Richard could pound those ivories!
This was actually later in his life so he wasn't nearly as physical as earlier. There's an old story that the "rocket fuel" NASA used to send the Apollo rockets into space was actually blood plasma from Jerry Lee...
he later sang mostly country. loved his country most, but also loved his rock and roll.
'The Killer' famously said, "Friendship, that's a deal, that's a commitment. Don't give me paper - I can get the same lawyer who drew it up to break it. But if you shake my hand, that's for life."
"If the Lord made anything better than a woman, he kept it for himself." and "If I'm going to hell, I'm going there playing the piano!" He was right on all three. RIP Jerry Lee.
There's a movie Great Balls of Fire which Dennis Quaid plays Jerry Lee Lewis, also features Winona Ryder as cousin and wife ,it's pretty good check it out, great reaction
Jerry Lee F$g! Lewis!! The proverbial wild child and a rock pioneer!! So controversial, yes he married his first cousin(she was 13, he was 22), yes he set his piano on fire once during a concert because he didn't want to perform before Chuck Berry, and yes he spent time in jail for brandishing a gun outside of Elvis's home. But he performed up to near his death and was a major contributor to rock-n-roll.
❤It !!! Not just because of Jerry Lee...But because Dave Edmunds playing guitar...met him early 80's when he was with band Rockpile ( had Wild R&R life Thanks to Awesome Woman Tina Weymouth, of Talking Heads 1978..met backstage,Penn State, she liked dress I had on told her I made it, & made clothes for local rock bands and costumes for theater majors she said she knew bands in NYC who'd like my stuff, gave me phone number of Hilly Krystal owned club called CBGBS...things went Nuts after!!...4ft11 Super Nerd got to meet UNREAL amounts of rockers....&& Rockpile, met small theater called the Tower ( Upper Darby, near Philadelphia) They were all Great, got to talk with Dave &&& Nick Lowe..OK ending here..
Thanks for giving this 65yr old a Great Big Smile ❤❤❤❤
The original bad boy of rock, and a human dynamo on the piano - he was still rocking up until his death only a year or so ago. RIP Jerry Lee. Pretty sure that the great Dave Edmunds was on lead guitar for this set, too. BTW, fast piano does go back into the jazz era - check out Art Tatum's "Tiger Rag" from 1933. Not exactly "thrash metal", but still very impressive.
Balls of fire, one of the many benefits of youth.
You should check out a performance from when he was younger, he was a real showman.
Jerry Lee Louis was also first cousins with the TV evangelist Jimmy Swargert.
And mickey gilley
WOW!!! You had to be a really good musician to keep up with Jerry!! He played that first song at a lightning pace!!!
The man was a force to be reckoned with !!!! ❤🔥🔥🔥
..Jerry Lee and Elvis go back to Sun Records...they were friends(a couple of 'problems' over the years....fun fact: JLL and Elvis only lived about 9 miles apart! JLL at the 'Lewis Ranch' in Nesbit, MS and Elvis of course at Graceland in s. Memphis just north of the MS state line.
Dream team of Jerry and Dave Edmunds.
Rocket fuel, just straight up rock n' roll.
Never seen this one! Thanks Shawn for giving us this….you get a chance, check out the singles of each of these. I believe there is some good footage out there….it’s worth it. Jerry Lee was something else. (Oh, I just remembered, he & Carl Perkins & Johnny Cash did a concert together…it’s so good!!!)
This is the kinder more gentle Jerry Lee but in his younger days he was truly wild.
Little Richard is considered one of the originators of "rock and roll" and is worth checking out. To get you started, here is link to his performance of "Good Golly Miss Molly" at the 50th beirthday party for Mohammed Ali: th-cam.com/video/AK_jm3Hz1Wk/w-d-xo.html
This was the quiet subdued Jerry of later years and he still has a style all his own, but boy when he was young he was really wild.
Yea man, JLL was a great entertainer and yes, he was a real life wild man. He certainly knew how to rock, but his country stuff is also real good, cheers Shawn.
i subscribed to your channel for little richard, now you did jerry lee!! LOVE IT!!!!!
A little tidbit: Jerry Lee Lewis and the evangelist Jimmy Swaggart are cousins. Both grew up with each other. Both were also great piano players and singers. He also married his 13-year-old cousin (once removed). Her name is Myra. The were married for 12 years from 1958 to 1970. A great movie to watch about Jerry Lee Lewis is a movie called "Great Balls of Fire" starring Dennis Quaid as Jerry Lee Lewis and Winona Ryder as Myra.
Wow! That’s rockin’! It would be awesome to see you react to the studio of each of these! Thank u & thanks to whoever gave the donation request!
do yourself a favor - if you love jerry lee as much as i do - get a copy of the 1989 movie 'great balls of fire' starring dennis quaid as jerry lee. dennis did a lot of studying of jerry's style and learned to play piano in the wild way for the role. jerry actually didn't like the movie but loved dennis's portrayal of him saying " he really pulled it off ". my favorite dennis quaid movie. the shooting of his bassist was an accident - he fired a .357 magnum at a coke bottle in his room and it ricocheted and hit butch owens in the chest.
KILLER!
ArrogantSOB and we loved him. Couldn’t get out of his own way most of the time, but damn, he was good
Bass guitarist is killing it also.
The first time I heard my future husband play was in 1969 when he channeled the Killer's Great Balls of Fire in the school cafeteria.
Jerry Lee (The Killer) Lewis was a madman. He also did some questionable things in his younger days in the 50s. He married his 14 year old cousin, and a few other things that were acceptable in those days in some parts of the south, but not so much in the rest of the country. Still, he was a superstar with the teenagers in the 50s. He was a pioneer of Rock and Roll along with Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and some others of that new and exciting music genre called Rock and Roll.
The Killer! One of the greatest ever..One of the FIve Grandfathers of Rock & Roll...with Elvis, Chuck, Little Richard and Buddy Holly...And he was the BAD Grandfather....Damn, he could play those keys and rock out more than all the others....This perfromance was good but late in his career... the ones from the 50's/60's (check them out!!) were so much better..so raw..so new..so dangerous...The Devil's music!!..Good stuff!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
He was the cousin of Jimmy Swaggart the preacher.
To add to his problems. He married his 13yr old cousin.really affected his career. There's an excellent movie,,great balls of fire about his life
Check out Wild Child by Iggy Pop
That was jerry subdued... in his heyday he was out of control on those keys. His cousins were hickey gilley and Jimmy swaggart
If this music can't get ya moving... you dead
He was great, and he was different. What stands out about his performances was this is who I am. So many people are followers. Not him he was a leader.
The real thing.
😃
Jerry Lee is a cousin of televangelist Jimmy Swaggart. He caused a big uproar by marrying his 14 year old cousin!! 👵🏼💙
“You digging it the most” Pulp Fiction….
Nice video. JLL was cousins with Jimmy Swaggart and Mickey Gilley. Google Gilley's bar of Texas.
You think he’s wild now, you should see an old video when he was young!
Medley, not melody. But we getcha.
Mayall - 90 yrs. old.
Rebel❤
Cheeks hurt?
You should have seen him as a young man
The killer. I like X cover of his: Breathless 🎹🎤🎸🥁
It's a "MEDLEY", NOT "Melody".
U kids
Well, his 3rd wife was his cousin one removed.
Oh, and she was 13.
he married his 13 year old cousin ...how do you like him now
No stupid Computers kiddies.
hairdo ??
Jerry Lee Louis almost ruined his carear because he married his 13 year old cousin.
It did ruin his career. He didn't chart for 10 years.
Love the Killer! His country stuff is great, too.
None of that is true about jerry lee lmao SMH, he never shot anyone and got the nick name " killer" in high school
