- Iv got this Seplos BMS board for a 10 kw battery repair. Basically I have 2 5kw Growatt battery’s that need a replacement BMS, so this will be perfect. It will (should) talk to the sp2000 Growatt inverter that will monitor how much energy my Solarpanels are producing and also how much energy I’m using from the grid. Without the BMS it’s useless. So subscribe for the next video to see the installation.

@@smartazz nice 😊 you can also connect a few leds, if you find the right MOSFET which turns on when the cells are balanced. It's a little tricky part we have to look into it Haha

any updates about these replacements ?
I have gotten a weak GBLI 5001 and want to use that "LiIon Battery" with a Seplos or JK BMS to run a SPH 3000 or 4600 inverter .
I have not the SP 2000 "Base System" as connection, so I guess I have to got the old way of running the JK inverter BMS talking canbus to my SPH inverter and pretending to be a growatt battery.
I have looked through your videos but did not really find any real update video about the old battery and a new BMS.
Hey .... did you connect to the BMS rhyme via BatteryMonitor? I am still trying and I can not manage.
Maybe you could help me, I have a problem , I can't connect to my BMS Seplos through BatteryMonitor, ... Battrery monitor is able to connect and do Firmware Update, this function works ok.
But when I try to load the protocol for mybattrery 14s (ie import the protocol from the xml file) I always get an error (not correct format ... . loading protocol failed, please correct and load it again). I already tried to run the program on Windows 7, 10 and 11 unfortunately always the same error ... loading protocol filed...
Are you able to guide me what could be wrong and how to work around this problem?
I see that everything works fine on your computer, which version of Windows are you using?

Awesome, wish you had got this connected up and working my BMS on my GBLI5001 5kw battery has failed and I want to get it working again with my SPA3000
I’m working towards getting it up and running. Shouldn’t be much longer now.
@@smartazz Good luck with the installation. I have two Growatt batteries I'd like to change the BMS in. I notice SEPLOS says it's setup for the Growatt Off-Grid protocol. Hopefully that's not a problem.

Unfortunately it’s not running on the Growatt inverter I planned to use it on, that’s not working at all :(
It’s now running on a Solis 3.6kw and working very well :)
They let the 6 ea 5 mm screws out of my B+ and P+ bus bars. Somebody is slacking at the factory. They also need to include a USB to RS485 adapter.
Where did you purchase it from ?
I hope they send you the missing parts.
Couldn't quite see, is the conformal coating over everything? Are those 3 big diodes Schottkys, to stop unbalanced cells trying to balance at a ridiculous current?
Yes kinda half covered with protective coating (all the shiny bits), big resistors for balancing nice 👍

How strange I have been looking at some faulty growatt batteries and I just contacted Henry a couple of days ago. How long did your BMS take to arrive and what sort of shipping and at what cost was it.
Have you now managed to get your battery pack working and if so will we be seeing it.

Absolutely you will be seeing it very soon. I’m very close to been ready to install it and test it.
Postage was fast for me 2 weeks from payment to delivery.
I am SUPER keen to see how this one goes for you as i currently also have 2 x GBLI5001 Growatt batteries, but set up with Daly BMS's and an SP2000 set as lead acid which works. But i really want to find a DIY BMS that will talk to the Growatt gear so i can use more than 50% of the battery packs! Looking forward to your rebuild and results!
Did you order from SEPLOS directly? Do you mind if i ask what you paid for it?
Interesting. My sp2000 when I power it on just beeps at me saying communication fault BMS ect. I didn’t know it would work in lead acid mode.
Did you have to repair those shorts? Also, does it work plug and play on your Growatt inverter?
Apparently the shorts are ok.I emailed the supplier and they say its supposed to be there. I’ll find out tomorrow hopefully. If all goes to plan.
