How did you get the texture image files? When I export 3d object from fusion 360, all I get is a MTL file alongside the obj file. DR won't import this file.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't we can do it in this way. I normally used the 3D model in the unity. I can easily edit some animation and record it as a greenscreen clip. :)

Nice tutorial. I haven’t tried 3d models in Fusion yet. Is there an option for ambient occlusion? If not, I guess a light dome array could work to get that look, like in the old days.

Ok, so here's where I'm at. We keep having at least 3-4 projects at a time in backlog, already brought into ver 15 which I've also grown really accustomed to by now. Are there enough advantages to 16 to grind things to a halt in our process and make the switch?

Hi Chris, thanks for the tutorial. Usually i download free 3d model out there. But it just contain .obj or .fbx only, no texture image there. So when i add to Resolve, it is just completely white. and i don't know where image texture is. Is it normal that some 3d models i downloaded from the internet contain no texture image?

How to work with animated 3d model in fusion ? Will this fbx process work with animated models also?

  • @soni801
    @soni801 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

TO CLARIFY: This method only works well if your model contains one mesh and nothing else. If you have a complex model, don't waste your time watching this video.

I have a problem, that when I import a blender obj models, the top and bottom of it disappears. It's a cylindrical model, like a lysol spray bottle and I have no idea why its not putting in the tops and bottoms. Do you know why by any chance?

So what you just showed in your video you can import 3d model directly into fusion and will not need to go through blender to do this

I'm pretty sure it's the same, but when you import the model, enable animation. That's how I remember it, atleast I think

Regarding Non-text Shadows for Keyed clips: Could you please do a tutorial on how to go about the below steps?
I did a green screen on an animation to put it into a recorded video but it has no shadow. I have seen this done on other video editors but not on Davinci Resolve.
The steps are vaguely something like this:
    1. Duplicate the keyed clip.
    2. Apply a black and white effect to the clip.
    3. Reduce the exposure to zero.
    4. Reduce the opacity to 75%.
    5. Apply a "flipped" effect.
    6. Position it under original keyed clip… If a person position under feet.
    7. Skew and/or stretch the shadow to make it more realistic.
    8. Apply the Gaussian blur effect.
I will add that I did get these instructions from this video th-cam.com/video/tTXJr1gyKao/w-d-xo.html
    Thank you!
