Thank you so much for sharing this video! The way you show side x side comparisons literally squashed my hesitation to start creating content. I've been afraid it would look and sound unprofessional, but now I feel sooo much more confident! You are truly appreciated.
So helpful! Thank you!! The first one does definitely look more professional in comparison but had you started out on the phone I wouldn’t have felt that the video quality wasn’t good enough.
I haven't watched the full video yet, I just wanted to point out how interesting the switch was between the camera and the Iphone! I found that the camera had more depth in the shadows, made it feel more professional photography quality, more cinematic, but the lighting the Iphone has is much brighter and sharpens a lot of details that were much softer in the other camera! I also think the Iphone might put a bit more saturation into the colors? But that might just be me
Sorry I didn’t see this before. I agree. I do think when you see them back to back, the camera is superior. But the iPhone is solid without the comparison.
@@CrusoeDesignCo sure, it does look like the iPhone set-up is really good to start vlogging. If we just forget the comparisons, I think it works better than I expected. Many thanks. Can you easily reattach the clip holder? I know it's a silly question, but I'm that good with fiddly things. Or do you use a different clip binder?
@@CrusoeDesignCo Thank you for replying. I guess I would still have to use a phone tripod, right? I like the idea of those with a light ring. I found some that are budget-friendly. I know some come with a microphone but according to some reviews, the mike does not work with all smartphones. I hope your hack with the ordinary microphone works with the tripod.
A tripod is a worth while investment for sure. I haven't used a ring light, but they will work! Generally speaking, a cheap microphone isn't great unfortunately.@@rose_yts
Not everybody has the ability to teach. Your side by side comparison is great. Also love the fact that it's under 10 minutes which means that you thought carefully about every sentence. I have Android by Samsung and would love to see a video on that. Also whether a special microphone is possible at a distance using a smartphone. You should also be able to get sponsorships using all of the accoutrements like microphones tripods Etc
@@milovee1238 Thank you! Unfortunately I don’t have an android but maybe I will update this in the future. I’d love to do sponsors etc but currently I’m far too inconsistent and sometimes go weeks or months without content as I’m too busy doing design work haha.
Thank you for the Video. Question, which one would you recommend for 'Events Videography' in terms of 'capturing music, dancing, experiences between people and Editing it all after to create amazing music videos?' Would it be the Google Pixel, Iphone 15, Samsung, Sony or another smart phone? Creating music videos & film making is key here. Note; most of the events will be at night with various flashing lights. Look forward to your wisdom. Many thanks, Gary
Truthfully I’d still likely get a nice camera if you want to do it as a professional service. Beyond that, I’m not up to date with phones other than the iPhone personally.
HI Great video, what do you recommend for me ,i am using my phone to record videos on my youtube channel but not happy with the sound , i use backing tracks , they will sound great , but when i play along i loose alot of the backing track volume , ANY Ideas ? I tried many external mic's but returned all ...
Yeah that can be tricky. I play too, but haven’t tried to record like you’re saying. I’ve seen plenty of videos where people do it though. They likely use multiple mic’s and maybe a boom mic over head to record your voice. Likely the cheapest way would be plug your guitar into your computer and do all the audio internally. Jam track etc. Then use a mic just for your voice. But yeah, I’d do some research on this specifically as I know there are a ton of great TH-cam channels for guitar lessons and bass etc. So there must be some great and specific info on this that other channels have figured out and shared.
i didn't realise how important the audio quality was. Made more difference than the video quality imo. thanks for this
Yeah it’s pretty vital! Thanks for watching.

Thanks very much. This was extremely helpful!!
Nice. The iPhone camera does the job. Are you suing the front or the back camera of the iPhone?
The selfie camera isn’t as good as the back but it can make creating videos more difficult when you can’t see yourself

@@rose_yts Yeah the little handle of the clip can be re-attached to take it off etc. So you can re-use the same one over and over.

I use mine all the time. If you're mobile then the setup on a mobile is ok. Great video
Thanks so much, great video, very helpful.
I feel like it’s a huge difference in quality. The microphone as well as the lighting make a big difference. Actually the camera did too…
Haha. I agree. It’s more than I originally thought or planned. Lighting and audio are key.
DIY mic definitely improved audio!
Very helpful! Thanks!

I’m using iPhone 8 plus
I'd like to know about the lighting set up.
I’m actually making new content again now. So maybe I’ll make one on this. Otherwise look up 3 point lighting.
Thanks, your video is helpful. I have AirPods Pro can I use that as Mic?
The AirPods aren’t as good of a microphone, actually BUT it’s still better than just your phone alone.
But did you use the front or back camera??
Good job
on android using the youtube app does youtube cut off at 16k or is that only on the iphone youtube app
🙂 Maybe if you check the WB from the smartphone the difference were insesizable ;-)
Can u use the mic on bluetoth earphoen?
@@gracefulvessel Yes you should be able to!
Is it best to shoot with tablet (Android) or not necessarily?
@@RickFigley-nq5nm No, generally tablets have far worse cameras.
