Sidney not seeing the shrine was a huge let down in my opinion.

I would have loved if Sidney got to see the shrine, her reacting to everything she’s been through especially seeing Tatum, Randy, n Dewey her closes friends would’ve hit the audience hard with her reaction.
I never realized she never reacted to the shrine

I said the same… especially considering Tatum.
Sydney showing up in the final act, seeing the shrine, and going primal on the killers would have brought great closure to her story arc.
The picture of her in your thumbnail hurts badly. Sidney would have ate that scene
I agree with BTM here, having Sidney involved in the shrine, and climax would've made 6 that much better! Seeing her reaction to the past would've been surreal for her to a point where maybe that's where she decides to be all in? Or instead the news of Gale makes her leave Mark and the kids and save the day in the climax along side Kirby? I think adding the 2nd passing of the torch to Sam would've made the end even better with te dropping of the mask. We would know for sure that Sam is no longer conflicted as it mean so much more if it was both Tara and Sid keeping her from going full dark like her dad Billy. There's endless possibilities of what having Sidney in 6 could've been like with also IMO the inclusion of Mark and the kids would've been the best and seeing how Sid leaving once again affects the family and their overall reaction. I hope to see something similar of this in 7 as the Prescott/Kincaid family is my #1 behind the core 4 to see!
It would be kind of cool if they somehow brought back the shrine in scream 7 or have it turn into a museum of some sort.. i think one of scream vi biggest flaws is not waiting for the perfect opportunity of having sidney be present at their shrine
The shrine room scene would’ve been so much more impactful if Sidney was there. How could the one who experienced it all not be there?!

In retrospect, the shrine should have been shelved until/unless Neve was able to return.
Scream 6 wasn't the same without Sidney. I only watched it because Neve approved it. But unfortunately, my hype wasn't there. Neve was done dirty and was disrespected. She still feels that way about Scream 6 now even though I do think she's potentially returning for Scream 7. Scream 6 will not be added to my Scream DVD collection and it certainly will not be on my Halloween watch list either. Sidney returns for Scream 7, those decisions of mine will change. Scream 7 will be added to my Scream DVD collection and It will definitely be part of my Halloween watch list.
Sidney would take on mother/sister figure to Sam and Tara similar to Dewey did with her in Scream 2 and 3.
Sidney being in van with Kirby Chad Ethan and Mindy when she hears Randy name being mentioned how he was killed by Nancy Loomis in van this could have added more sadness and guilt on Sid that both twins never met their uncle. While Kirby and Mindy are talking movies Sid could have a had scene with Mindy telling her how much alike she is like her uncle and how he was the big experts on films even tell her that her uncle randy made Ghost Face killers Mickey, Charlie, Amber, Ritchie, and her own brother Roman look like amateurs. Tara or Sam could have had a scene about being a legacy Sid talking about how her mom being raped by Hollywood executives and giving up her brother Roman which led to her affairs and Roman started all this which led to Billy creating Ghost Face persona. Her mother and brother legacy led to deaths of many people friends family and even but she managed to take all negative into positive she had Dewey, Gale, Kirby, Martha, and her husband Mark she made her own family and didn't let that legacy define who she is.

I felt like the biggest hit was not letting Sydney and Dewey get to see the shrine. I felt like the OGs been through more pain the any of the new cast.
I like how you went about this. Personally, I think she’d have come into the movie in the final act as well.
The more I watch scream 5 (mainly skip to all Sidney’s scenes), the more I think it was so badly done. Scream 6 improved considerably, however Act 3 was just laughable and lost my interest. I completely agree that Sidney is the one who would have had the bigger reaction to the shrine. A proper deep reaction as like you say, that shrine was her life.
I think more mentioning of Sidney is still better than her being in the film
I loved Scream 6 even without Sidney, but her presence sounded like it would’ve been really cool. My main issue with the legacy characters in these new films is how their character arcs are over and they feel like they’re just there for the sake of being there. I would like them to be involved if they still have storylines to explore but if not its fine to let the new characters shine like in Scream 6.
My issue with these new movies is that they don’t create room for legacy characters. They just feel like they’re sort of there for the sake of a ticked box. The original scream trilogy was superior in every way
Well, I mean, yeah, the story isn’t necessarily about them now.
Honestly the shrine and stu house should have been one in the same and kept underwraps for the end with Sidney as the final girl in the end it would have all been full circle in a way and how stu could have came back with a good explanation on how he survived all these years without anyone knowing
if sid comes back for 7 i hope they put her and sam together to finally end the ghost face killings once and for all
Quinn if she was the person that attacked gale I still gotta suspend my disbelief Bec gales boy toy was really big. Not only was he stabbed. He was tossed through that glass casing shelf thing lol
it’s just that big of a deal. any character underneath the ghostface costume automatically becomes a stunt man’s height and has superhuman strength
To add onto Sidney being involved, she could have been at the restaurant Laura was at, they could have bumped into each other making it a breif encounter then Sidney hears the police sirens and reporters and seen what was going on which would result in her calling Sam & Tara making sure they’re okay and to stay safe. Could have also had Sidney at the police station when Tara hits Gale and Sidney could say that she deserved it considering she wrote another book when she swore she wouldn’t. I also think having Sidney on the train could have her having a panic attack seeing so many ghost face costumes and she could see Mindy getting stabbed and she has a fight with ghostface on the train and she and Ethan struggle to get her off the train, that’s when Sidney Tell’s Ethan to go find the others while Sidney goes with Mindy to the hospital where Gale is, and Gale and Mindy tell her to go help Sam & Tara finish it
I was pleasantly surprised at how good Scream IV was without Sidney to be honest. When it was first announced Neve wouldn’t be back, I lost all faith in the movie but they really did well with it all things considered.
I still always want Sidney in a Scream film though. It’s her franchise.

I think Scream 6 was rushed to be honest and it suffered because of it. Sidney not being involved was disappointing.
Sidney fans were absolutely robbed of her reaction to the shrine and Kirby’s return.
What if in the next movie they take all those shrine items and move them back to Woodsboro to make some sort of twisted museum for the public? And then make the museum an even more essential part of the movie? That way Sidney can finally see everything.
Sidney could have been an support/encouragement to Sam, shown her she's not her past.... not her father and doesn't have to go down the road he did or have the same darkness in her that Billy did. Shes her own person and doesn't have to be and isn't defined by what her parents or others have done or whats happened to her.

If Sidney was in it, I think they would’ve found a genius way to fit her in with what they had; Kirby n all, just as the video stated.
So, Sidney and Samantha’s long overdue talks to postponed… Sidney has quite a bit to talk to with Tara too… Tara’s was like the 19 year old Sidney in Scream 2.
Sidney can easily refer to her book “out of darkness” she had by Scream 4, and give Sam a copy after their talk.
To me, would’ve loved to see Sidney in Scream 6, but it helped the core 4 and Kirby’s characters grow. For me, I see Sidney through Samantha, Tara and Kirby… Kirby was once Sidney remake, Tara is a version of Sidney in Scream 2, Samantha is the new generation scapegoat “chosen” final girl that Sidney still is.
If Sid would have seen the shrine that would have been it for me. I wouldn't need another movie
This is the scenes i think sidney would be apart of
I think her first scene would be the day after the bodega attack trying to comfort tara and Sam from being attacked the night before.
She would then meet with the group and see sam and have a little flashback moment with billy in the murder shrine.
Then after gale was attacked by quinn she would've probably gone in the ambulance with gale.
Danny wouldve probably called sidney what was happening and she would sneak in the warehouse and would find a injured kirby and a stabbed ethan she would then try to help Kirby's stab wound.
As soon as the ambulance would come she would then meet with kirby and take her to the ambulance and reunite with tara and sam and the would walk out and see Mindy and Chad.
This isnt actually a scene but hear me out, Once tara and sam left sidney would then go to the hospital to check up on gale have a little scene and then the movie would end...
Sidney Vs Quinn would probably happen since Quinn is supposedly the one to injure gale, and she'd want to return to make sure gale doesn't die because she's already lost to much plus Dewey
I wish Sidney would've been able to see the shrine but her presence wasn't missed much for me at least. My fav final girl but I just think the film was great without her and she definitely wasn't needed. I don't think she would've fit in much besides the shrine and final act.
Sorry, Sidney needed to be on this film in order to have the shrine in the movie. The Shrine IS her life.. Not anyone else in the film. If you think Sidney shouldn't have been in the film. Then, the shine should have been taken out and added when Neve Campbell was available to be in a was in the film.
I feel it would of been short "oh they are following the original story line. did you ever meat Richie family? let look that up... look familiar?
Scream 6 was awesome and didn’t need Sidney. Maybe if Sidney was in it Sam would’ve stabbed her a bunch too.
Having Sydney not in the movie made it a bit more fresh i liked the movie a lot but i didn't like the killers story on why they attacked them it felt like any other horror movie story
I could also see Detective Bailey in some F up way blaming Sidney for causing all the events even though it was Maureen leaving roman Most every Ghostface blames Sidney for her mother's action plus her half-brother and cousin being killers just adds to it which parallels the kirsh family if you think of it.
I also think Sidney would have been there for the Ghostface reveal in the Finale scene with Sam and Tara as it was a 3 against 2 people situation.
It’s hard to pin point exactly where Sidney would have fit in the final battle though. But I don’t think Sam and Tara would have left Sidney to battle Bailey and Ethan on her own (instead of climbing up into the balcony).
She just feels forced into these stories since pt 4. It also doesn't help that Gale is a skeletal plastic surgery nightmare. Just feels like the franchise has moved on past these actors and the need to include them is just as debilitating as Michael Myers obsession with family members.
