    Rear wheel drive vehicles with a decent clearance can do potash/Shafer trails as well as Gemini bridges unless you drop down into Bull canyon or over to Golden Spike, Poison Spider. Seven mile is a decent trip. Not knocking the vehicles, I did Steelbender with a small Xterra club when I lived in Moab and was impressed; all of them did the wall and the fall as well as the bitches steps (not official title just what we called them).
    But I do like watching these videos, been many years since I lived there and it brings back some memories of the fun days.

      Yeah, I'll be the first to admit we didn't go too extreme. My buddy and I are from Michigan. So being 1800 miles from home driving the 20 year old 220k mile xterra I didn't want to press my luck. My blue xterra kept overheating all the time in that desert heat, and at high altitude. We were staying in a remote cabin at 11000 feet before coming to moab, overheating climbing the Mt. The only water around was the Rio grand river, so I ended up putting that in it. It was a wild trip, I can't believe the old xterra got us there and back.

    Awesome videos i jus acquire my 2001 5 speed and installed a winch and 33x10.5 15s since there is a lot of mud in Florida where i live. I wheel with a group of jeeps and the xterrible keeps up pretty well.

    Yo, can’t believe you guys drove out to Utah for trail runs. I live in Las Vegas and I own an 02’ SE SC that I converted to 5 speed 4wd from 2wd auto. I have lot of spare parts for these if you guys ever need anything for it. Even brake pads and such and cap and rotors. Hmu if you need any parts replaced before your guys drive back. I’m pretty sure I may have what you need. Lmk, thanks 🙏. I’m on IG if you want to check out my Xterra

    Do you keep that Xterra on 4L at all times while on that trail ?

    • @ITS305TIME
      @ITS305TIME  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I cant remember, I typically will be in 4L if Im going slowly for long periods of time or if Im on a sandy trail to try and keep the transmission temperature down. Obviously if your driving up a obstacle, 4L will give you multiplied torque and better throttle control, and you wont heat up the transmission as bad by revving up the stall on your torque converter as much.

    Is there a part 3? I certainly hope so.

      Thats it for the moab stuff. I have 2 more vids coming out from the trip, ones in the lake powel area near page arizona. And the other is from the rocky mt in colorado. Moab was where we did the harder offroad trails. We where alone in the other two locations and i was fighting a overheating issue the whole time so we took it easy. At one point my radiator was full of water from the rio grand.

    • @ITS305TIME
      @ITS305TIME  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No lockers. They both have the factory limited slip in the rear but mine, the blue one has 210000k miles and im sure its not working anymore. They are both stock
