Do you not have any issues with fitting your headphones with Spinfit Omni into the charging box? And how do you find the eartips overall? Maybe some other options to try as well that would fit the TWS like Moondrop ones? Do you know if Divinus Velvet fits your Golden Ages and the charging box with them attached to the earphones?
@olodesu I had no issue fitting Omni into GA box, and I found them pretty good for universal usage as well. I think I tried velvet, but the 4esult was bad (forgot about the reason tho)
I bought Spinfit W1 for my Blessing 3. The bass sounds somewhat cleaner and more well defined, which I quite like. Soundstage is somewhat deeper, I can feel the distance of the sources a wee bit more. Everything sounds noticeably more clear overall. Verdict: Spinfit the goat!

CP100s are still my go to. Maybe the shape of my ear cannel is messed up, but the bendable sound tube really helps with comfort and keeping a seal over a long period of time. Something I struggle with a lot of tips regardless of size. My favorite sounding are the Azla Crystals tho, really great treble extension without noticeable overemphasis.

Tysm for this video! I wasn't aware that different companies may have completely different definitions of small medium and large, you got me to try the stock medium tips on my new IEMs and they fit much better than the small. Coming from Truthear Hexa where I used the smallest included size I just assumed that it would be the same, but absolutely not. I found that the small tips on my new Thieaudio Origin caused discomfort after 30+ mins of listening, whereas the mediums I can tolerate for much longer. I've also ordered the Tangzu Tang Sancais to try out :) Thanks for the tips!!
Just got the hexa with some spinfit W1 in MS, my left ear is perfect but my right ear just has the weirdest bent in, which means I can't insert a small ear tip all the way in, and need a grippy medium to sit more outside I think ??? The current W1 will pop out after a minute, despite keeping most of the seal but it doesn't feel comfortable like this. I hate my ears so much, hopefully a DUNU S&S kit will fix my issues, and I'm also taking note of from what you said
I didn't realise how important eartips are until I decided to blind buy the Dusk as an upgrade to my Chu 2. The moondrop spring tips really just do not want to seal themselves properly in my ear no matter the size, so the Dusk sounded so thin and honestly worse than my Chu 2! Switched my stock Chu 2 silicone tip onto the Dusk and now everything is great. Tested Chu 2 with the spring tips and I really didn't like it. I might've had bad experiences with the moondrop spring tips but its good to learn how important eartips actually are.
Yah...eartips are really important, but ironically, personal. While different people sing praises of different eartips, at the end of the day, only you can customize it for yourself (e.g. springs tips ONLY work on blessing 3 for me).
So glad I bought a cheap fishing lure box for eartips at the start of this hobby! Currently fitting Dunu s/s style tips that came with a second hand CCA CRA set to Kefine Klanars
yess i've colleted all eartips from any cheap iems that come along but yess sometimes the unknown eartips is surprisingly match the iems and make the tonal right to my preference.
Do you have any eartips you would recommend for Sony WF1000XM5s? Their OEM eartips help a lot with noise canceling, but the material is hard to clean and tends to build up earwax quickly. I wonder if this is something that all foam tips will experience. I've tried some silicone eartips from Sednafit, but they seem to have worse noise canceling due to material. Any help is appreciated, thanks for the guide!
I have never owned a pair WF1000XM5s so really cannot comment much on it, but you may look into Spinfit Omni, it's quite standard for tws/iems in general.
I can strongly recommend Eletech Baroque eartips, personally found them to be really good for wide nozzle IEMs like the 7Hz x Crinacle Zero: 2 (easily slid on, unlike the Omni, W1, or Velvet, which required a good couple minutes of struggling to get on, and near 10 minutes to take off). Personally, I found the Velvet eartips to feel quite dry, like they were stealing moisture from my skin while wearing them. They did round off the treble region so that it sounds softer, so got no real complaints there (as I know from experience that dry eartips do get better over time as you use them). Though, ranking-wise for the Zero 2, imo: the stock eartips and the DUNU Velvet come dead last (stock are alright sounding, nothing great - the Velvet was not enjoyable, but I could see what it was going for and that it did it pretty well), then the W1 and Omni sharing 2nd place, and the Baroque Eletech coming in first, in terms of overall experience and sound.
@@BrandonAdams1010 Getting those eartips was mostly to see if I'd notice eartips having an effect on sound, and with that, which one I'd prefer more. Since eartips can be used for multiple IEMs, it is also a minor long term investment, as it also means I have eartips I know will sound great ready to go if I don't like the stock ones that'll come with any future purchase.

Hey I really liked this video, I was about to buy new tips for my truthear zero after it become loose and kept falling off. 4:45 does final e tips fit properly for truthear zero, I thought the stem size is wider in truthear zero than normal
It does, although it's tough to get it in, but the stem is long enough to cover the whole tube of zero, leaving some space for buffering as well. After getting it in, it's just there forever and I don't feel like getting anything better for both of the zeros.
Beside memory foam tips (which I personally am not a fan either), are there suggestions for tips you use to curb the treble on an IEM just a bit? I have the Dunu Glaciers and out of the stock tips I prefer the candy tips sized small (for deeper insertion depth for confort and reduced treble peeks, tho I usually use medium sized tips for other iems), and some of the third party tips I tried (Like the Moondrop Springtips and Xelastec) only accentuated the problem.
Hmmm, that sound exactly like my problem on SA6 MKII, which was a hell to tip swap. I know exactly what I needed "relative hard sound tube, middle to long sound tube with some buffering inside, wide opening, bullet type, soft surface for max comfort, and a suitable size", and the closest i get, was Tangzu Sancai M size Regular (NOT the wide bore one), still not perfect tho. You may try that one out, but since I've never owned a pair of Glaciers, can't say for sure of course.
Vote for audiosense s400. Helped me with fit issues on the arrti t10 (though more bass on top of an already warm set is iffy) and with balancing the treble on Night Oblivion Butastur. Stock penon/isn green tips without treble switch, s400 with it on.
I didnt fully understand the difference of nozzle width, i know you made a list of characteristics, but i dont understand exactly how those things are affected by narrower or wider nozzles, im new with iems so i dont think my ears are trained enough to notice the differences yet, i just wanted to have a general idea, i have the zero blues and reds if that helps
Don't worry too much about it yet, this video was made to summarize the parameters of eartips that may make changes to perceived sound. Your first priority is always comfort, then you will gradually notice the difference upon listening.
I just put it in normally, with a little bit of force of course, because it's on the tight side. But once it's in, it just stay there, and I never bother to change it again.
Spring Tips are the goat for Blessing 3. While comfort wise CP100+ better for me, i just can't get enough from treble and vocal clarity with Moondrop tips on these IEMs
Thanks for the vid :)) I’m using my 7Hz Zero eartip with my Zero Red haha the stock Red ones don’t fit for me cuz the nozzle is too long or too large so it doesn’t go in deep enough.
Never owned a pair of supermix, so really cannot comment much on that... but you may want to look into tip models that have ms size in between, e.g. Acoustune AET07, divinus velvet, spinfit omni etc.
I'm here because my Zero Red tips stretched out and keeps falling off the IEMs.. It's disappointing, since I never had this problem with my Shure and Etymotic IEMs. I guess this is what we can expect from Chi-Fi... Tried some spin tips but not sure I'm a fan... I'll try others on your list. Great video thank you!
Never owned a pair of momentum wireless 4 so really cannot comment too much, but wireless earbuds tend to have very short stem, you may look into any eartips with shorter tube by checking out the spec on their respective website. I use spinfit omni on Moondrop Golden Age, and Acoustune AET07 on Alice.
@@catadegen The omni work !! Thanks a lot for that ! They are around 2mm shorter than the one i had before but that not fit perfectly, passed the seal test and the case closing properly yay ! AET are like 1mm too long
Are there silicone eartips designed to reduce occlusion effect? It's when you hear yourself breathing, humming, or eating as loud as or louder than the music. I find foam tips help but it hurts after a while.
One thing I would like to add is for some eartips, you can just buy an IEM from the company and get the tips and and an IEM for essentially free (or vise versa). Some examples are: Moondrop Springtips + Chu Final Audio Type E + E1000/E500 Anyways, love the chill vibe and also super informative!
I have to caution against azla xelastec, it definitely isn't the most durable eartip if used daily probably 1-2 months lifespan. It mold against your ear canal shape after some time (not in a good way in long run). Tried the warm water reform method, it just went downhill from there.
Its a very good guide, but i still gotta ask because my moondrop spring tips which came with my Katos died. So ... i tried some random eartip (my friend has a cheap Fiio Jade audio) and well the comfort man. The spring tips are just so much more comfortable... but now i think the spring tips (L) , Xl is not available, are a little small for my left ear specifically. So.... should i just take a leap pf faith and get the Finals E? I just want to know in case of comfort how do they compare to spring tips ? Thanks in advance. Also good luck for Clorinde.
I think comfort wise will be worse than spring tips (on kato specifically), because texture wise it’s on the regular rigid side and shape wise it is a normal ball shape with small opening, unlike spring tip which is on the softer end with large opening. I was using acoustune aex70 on kato because it’s on the softer end as well. You may try type e, but don’t expect it will be more comfortable than any regular eartips (unless you have a perfect shape fitting on that specific pair of item), otherwise I will go for thing with roughly the same texture, aka spring tips, aex70,or Fiio hs18(never tried it , but texture wise it looks like aex70, and people keep pumping this keyword to my face).
Np. Top 3 right now? It's actually hard to choose, since I tip roll according to the physical spec of the earphones and eartips. But based on the number of usage, it should be Final Audio Type E, sancai eartips and fiio hs18, as of now.
So I usually use L eartips with about 13.8mm diameter. Divinus Velvet has ML at 13.2mm and L at 14.2, and the widest point is more to the front. Do you think I should get ML instead of L?
@@catadegen Thanks. I also just realized looking at my tips' specs it's actually 13.8mm only at the bottom while middle part is 12.5-13mm. I suppose the tips count as 13mm then?
It's hard to get it in for the first time, but you can still push it all the way down to the stopper because it's elastic. And once it's settled and checked that there's still space between the tip and nozzle for buffering, I just never change it out again.
Sorry to hear that, but when i look into c700n, it looks like it's the problem of the shell instead (very flat on the surface touching the ear), may consider looking into some iem with very small shell, like chu2.
I do have a pair of w1s, but I still don't have a chance to use it, because the tube is on the long side, and the surface is on the sticky side. In that sense, yes, I do prefer omni because I'm actually using it, but I'm still keeping a pair of w1s for potential use case in the future.
Recycling tips from other sets has saved me in the past. Important to remember. Thanks for covering this. Tip rolling is my least favorite part of this hobby.
Tip rolling is absolute 1d10cy. The sound of that eartips is horrible in both cases. Music becomes a bag of noise. Not much better than under-$1 eartips
@@GEMSofGOD_comwhy is is stupid? If the tips that come with the iem don't fit, you need different ones. Also, eartips can affect the sound for better or worse. I know if the tips that came with the iems fit, you don't needs new ones.
Hmmmm for the cost added on it, it's really hard to recommend anything, try to find something with SHORT tubing i'd say, since I'm using Spinfit Omni on Golden Ages. PS I just use the default eartips on Space Travel when I have it.
@@catadegen Oh thank you, I'd love to try spinfit omni but I'm currently broke, as for the default eartips I really hate it because they keep sliding out of my ear when it gets oily.
@@madricktony6493yea i had problems with the earbuds not staying in place with the stock tips but the omnis def helped tho i would say they sound a lil different with them on
@@madricktony6493 just get its own brand name, the moondrop springtips. it's a good eartips for starters like me. right now, i'm trying Tangzu sancai and TRN to see the difference.
I don't think IEMS are for me, my left and right ears just dont agree with sizing. I can never get the volume or seal to feel right no matter what I try. Bought around $100 dollars worth of eartips by now, and it just aint working out. My right ear gets a tighter seal because my right ear canal is literally smaller than my left side, and because of that bass is noticeably more present on my right ear, and the left side can't get the same sound no matter the sizing I try.
I'm sorry to hear that, yah I do realize the size of my ear canals are not the same as well, just not as noticeable as yours. Have you tried using different size eartips just on your left ear? like M for left ear, MS for right ear etc.?
Spinfit W1 is my go to. Grips onto any nozzle so no lip required to stay in place, good texture and stickiness, great sound and comes in enough sizes that you can find one that fits perfectly. I found that I use a S, MS or M depending on the earphones nozzle size. Truthear Hola I use a S, Truthear Hexa a MS and the Moondrop Beautiful World a MS or M works fine.
What would be a good eartips for sets like the Yanyin Canon 2? It's a warm U-shaped tuning with smooth treble. I tried the Final E tips but it feels like the bass just got a tad bit too strong for me for an iem that is already bassy enough. I don't mind eartips that can make the treble more airy at the cost of less bass.
Hmmmmm, in that case, I'd try things with wider opening and shorter sound tube, you may check out things like Final E Tips (TWS version), or spring tips etc. Just a recommendation without even owning the pair of earphones that you mentioned tho o/
@@lokrj Yap, i checked it out on the website, i just put a disclaimer because I've never owned a pair to have proper experience to comment too much. What I saw from the website is that it has a relative short sound tube, and the default eartips /Type E (Regular) both have narrow opening, that's why I'd recommend trying eartips with wider opening and shorter sound tube.

I'm still trying to find my definitive eartip for S12 Pro. I always get a peak on 4.5kHz that shouldn't be there.
Could you suggest optional Normal Eartips for Simgot Supermix4. M size was to big. Fit with S size but still need more noise isolation. Thx
Never owned a pair of supermix, so really cannot comment much on that... but you may want to look into tip models that have ms size in between, e.g. Acoustune AET07, divinus velvet, spinfit omni etc.
any recommendation ear tips for supermix4 simgot
I've never tried that set, so nope.
Have you found the right ear pads for you? I also have SM4 and am currently thinking about what to buy
What do you use for storage of ear tips? Looking for various solutions
I just put most of them in small transparent bags, while some of them (that i usually use in eartips boxes as shown in the thumbnail).
Wich one would fit momentum wireless 4 ? Tried many of them and the case is not closing properly
@@catadegen Gonna try them thanks !
No idea, but in my experience, such effect usually caused by a microphonic cable ;/
One thing I would like to add is for some eartips, you can just buy an IEM from the company and get the tips and and an IEM for essentially free (or vise versa).
Some examples are:
Moondrop Springtips + Chu
Final Audio Type E + E1000/E500
Anyways, love the chill vibe and also super informative!
I have to caution against azla xelastec, it definitely isn't the most durable eartip if used daily probably 1-2 months lifespan. It mold against your ear canal shape after some time (not in a good way in long run). Tried the warm water reform method, it just went downhill from there.
Try the Azla Crystal tips instead. Still has a stickier texture, but doesn’t mold like the Xelastics.
I can vouch the same Moondrop Springtips too. The texture got too soft and unbalanced
They also pick up dust like crazy lol... Impossible to clean without some tape
Thank u soo much Kata , could you makke. A. Top 3 of the best of this or your favvorites right now ❤❤❤ thannks i love. Your coontent
Np. Top 3 right now? It's actually hard to choose, since I tip roll according to the physical spec of the earphones and eartips. But based on the number of usage, it should be Final Audio Type E, sancai eartips and fiio hs18, as of now.
@@catadegen thanks i will buy Sacai Eartips , i hope them to be better than Dunu S&S
Also, why don't companies sell a "test set" so we can know what size to buy?!? 😓
So I usually use L eartips with about 13.8mm diameter. Divinus Velvet has ML at 13.2mm and L at 14.2, and the widest point is more to the front. Do you think I should get ML instead of L?
I feel like velvet is slightly bigger than normal tips, so in your case, I’m more inclined to use ML, unless I cannot get a good seal with it.
@@catadegen Thanks. I also just realized looking at my tips' specs it's actually 13.8mm only at the bottom while middle part is 12.5-13mm. I suppose the tips count as 13mm then?
Hello! Nozzle size of truthear blue is 6mm, while the nozzle size of final audio type e is 3.5mm. Is it not getting stretched too much?
It's hard to get it in for the first time, but you can still push it all the way down to the stopper because it's elastic. And once it's settled and checked that there's still space between the tip and nozzle for buffering, I just never change it out again.
Would the divinus velvet tips be good for someone who experiences the occlusion effect with IEMs?
I don't think so... it just helps releasing excessive in-ear pressure.
Alright :/. My boyfriend gets that with IEMs and I was trying to find a fix for him haha
ah yes, my spring tips just starting to yellow a bit
nice timing
i have small ears even the S size of the sony wf c700n not fit in my ear canal. its hurt my ear.
Sorry to hear that, but when i look into c700n, it looks like it's the problem of the shell instead (very flat on the surface touching the ear), may consider looking into some iem with very small shell, like chu2.
@@catadegen do you think spinfit cp360 SS size is the solution?
@@midoban23 Nah, if it's a shell/tube problem, no eartips can fix it.
Do you prefer the Spinfit Omni's or Spinfit W1s? Thanks!
I do have a pair of w1s, but I still don't have a chance to use it, because the tube is on the long side, and the surface is on the sticky side. In that sense, yes, I do prefer omni because I'm actually using it, but I'm still keeping a pair of w1s for potential use case in the future.
I see, so what is the best for Truthhear hexa then?
Ahhh, i don't have that in my hand any more,,, iirc i was using Tanchjum T300T on it.
What eartips do you use on EM6L??
I'm just using default M size eartips on it.
Your previvous video title is a lie.It was not the only video we ever needed
Recycling tips from other sets has saved me in the past. Important to remember. Thanks for covering this.
Tip rolling is my least favorite part of this hobby.
Tip rolling is absolute 1d10cy. The sound of that eartips is horrible in both cases. Music becomes a bag of noise. Not much better than under-$1 eartips
@@GEMSofGOD_comwhy is is stupid? If the tips that come with the iem don't fit, you need different ones. Also, eartips can affect the sound for better or worse. I know if the tips that came with the iems fit, you don't needs new ones.
I just got the ea500lm today! do u have any recommendation for it :3
I'm just using silver red ring with the smallest eartips that came with it, feel free to check out my casual ea500lm video as well :3
Till today I still haven't bought any custom eartips😅
Btw any recommendation specifically for Space Travel?
Thank you for this video again
Do you have any recommendations for eartips for kiwi ears cadenza by chance?
Np, iirc I was just using the default white/half transparent eartips M size that came with it.
@@catadegen yep, I did try, and its just not working out. Its just unfortunate.
@@Tommyvang187 Little late, but have you ever tried some memory foam tips?
@@grendelicious yeah, i did try foams, but i dont like how the foams sound. It sounds off to me.

@@catadegen eh, i put it there, the Yanyin Canon 2. Idk if you have ever heard of them tho
@@catadegen thanks for the advice!
