That's not the problem, the problem is the membrane is not glued to the roofing material. All you did is a cosmetic fix, there is air bubbles all over that roof, that RV needs a new membrane replacement and glued down right.
This was the recommended fix from the manufacturer, under warranty. The material actually laid back down and wrinkles went away. I would have love to replace the roof membrane and glued it back down with new. The roof and material are fine and everything work out, the customer where in transit from TN after only owning it for 2 weeks.
@@yourrvspecialists Well of course that was the recommended fix; it was the cheapest and quickest. But it was far from the most permanent. That owner will have more roof issues going forward. The manufacturer is betting this half assed authorized repair will last long enough to get past the warranty period then they can wash their hands of it.
The flapping was because air was getting underneath the material and seams to be caused by the glue is not as sticky as it used to be in the past. This was the recommended fix from the manufacturer, and no we didn’t road test it.
@@yourrvspecialists I did this same repair recently and it didn't fix the problem of "unsticky" roof membrane glue. A low pressure wave and/or air from inside the pinbox pulls the membrane up on hot sunny days. The cap will need to be pulled, the membrane re-glued and everything resealed. 2018 Grand Design 303RLS
Could you provide a link to the tape you put under the transition strip? Installing one soon on ours and want to make sure it dosent leak!
Good Morning. Have you use the Dico Tape on the fromt cap. Jack

That is what I was thinking

Is insurance covering roof membrane replacement for this issue? Progressive denied my claim after wind got under roof membrane on cross country trip.
I am curious how the customer discovered that? From my drivers seat, I would never know.
Great question, John! The customer was in travel with some camping friends who were following them and noticed it.
We have multiple bubbles on the membrane of our 2024 imagine. Is there an acceptable size bubble (s)?

So that actually fixed the flapping? Do you have a road test video of after the repairs?

With all the problems, God forbid the manufacturers use a different roofing system better than the rubber. May cost more, but worth it.
