Thank you so much for these tutorial vids. I played a tonne of Ark (pvp as a part of a tribe, also some single player too well over 700hrs just on pvp) for the first year then took a break. I’m back playing single player and EVERYTHING has changed!!!!!!
When imprinting, if they ask for something you don't have, just cryo them wait 2-3 mins and it should change what they want. Also spec a moschops into flowers if solo you get loads and can easily tame one. Good luck.
Very useful vid! ^_^ Would only add that for gathering rare flowers the best way is using a Therizino and using c + RMB (in super quick succesion) on swamp plants you showed. If you dont do properly you'll only gather berries and a low amount of flowers, but when done properly you gather absolutely insane amounts of fiber and rare flowers, way more than with the basic attack.

I know this video is a tad older but I noticed it was said that the only way to get bps were through drops but I'm almost positive you can get bps from fishing to unless that has been changed. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe I am.

Love the tips. I do have suggestions for more tips. When you covered flowers you might have wanted to cover soups, these are great for adding mid/late game edge. Lazarus Chowder decreases your oxygen intake meaning you can stretch your scuba tank durability for long sessions underwater farming black pearls and trophy items from alphas. Making a pair of mindwipe soups means you can respec to a specific character build and back. This is important as you want to have the highest possible crafting spec when making ascendant items. High crafting skill increases stats on crafted items through bonuses. With the 24-hour cooldown setting in vanilla on default you don't have to wait to gain a level to use the soup. Breeding dinos is essential for better health and melee stats. But keeping them alive requires better saddles only found from those drops and cave crates. Not so much for beta but gamma and alpha bosses will require very good high-level saddles for the damage reduction. Getting better saddles is more of a grind than the breeding is for late game. I agree that the cryo pods are a game changer in moving dinos. The area on The Island map around the Skylord cave has all the materials required, including Penguin spawns for polymer. You can quickly collect everything with a flyer and an Ankylosaurus to make pods near this cave. You can fly to the Blue Obelisk to make them in bulk or use the local drops to make one or two at a time. Almost all the resource for pods spawn in the Blue Obelisk's area excepting the penguins.
@@CompleteGamesWithJames You inspired me to keep playing to finish The Island map, even if Gigas won't spawn to get access to beta or alpha level. If you have more areas like the Skylord cave area that are excellent for making a kind of key item on The Island or other maps, please do share. Also, don't forget that soap isn't a listed recipe but lets you save 1/3 of your organic polymer. This is useful as grinding polymer items gets you organic, not regular, every time.
@@waveclaw there is 4 spawns for the gigas. North side of volcano. The snow mountain northeast of the volcano. And a metal mountain dead east of volcano and the metal mountain south of carno island. If one isn't spawned in go around and kill stuff for about an hour then go look around again for one. Rinse and repeat this till one spawns in.
heres a real pro tip, if you like cod on consol but the controller seems to blow on pc you can actually fix that dead zone by hitting shift tab(steam only) and setting up the controller, it lets you fine tune so you can actually not suck at ark while laying on your ass with out the mouse akwardness p.s. if youre good at call of duty then you be good at ark once you figure all the shit out
I find a single dimetrodon with at least 1k melee is better than various acs. I understand it's difficult to take due to how fast torpor goes down but trust me it saves the need to make acs and build a cable system to connect the ac. I have a single dimetrodon with almost 4k in melee and it hatches things just as effective as four-five acs.
Still a noob at this game, I've started a new single player game 10 times now. But it's difficult that's for sure. Tried breeding a dylo army. But the second baby demanded a high level kibble to grow up. Witch made it more difficult. So you first got too have a kibble setup before start breeding? The depth of this game I never expected when looking my younger cousins play this game.
With no mods I would suggest getting a kibble farm first before breeding and you can check his singleplayer settings and it's on point where you can get a full imprint.
@@achillllllles i play on console. So no mods. I've chosen the same settings for single player. But producing all the different kibble, is a game on its own. Start taming ,farming etc. Hours fly by when you start this game.

yer I didn't go into much detail but if I help people realize the importance of starting to learn to breed their dinos then I'm sure it will improve there gameplay. To many of them get scared and don't use this mechanic.

cryopods to carry dinos...nah. I bump structure capacity up on local server then build a giant naval carrier. Loaded up a crock named sarge, about 8 dilos, 2 ptranedons, baryonyx named berry. Had a ballista on the front. Lol doe mobile go vroom.
Getting my butt kicked left and right in this game. Wasn't till I watched Ark game walkthroughs that I figured out how to make some progress. Lvl38 but my equipment is definitely of a "new" player.
Just spawn west 2 on island, do the note run, then go to crystal isles and hop on the back of a crystal wyvern then tame it up. Then if you dont have genesis start farming everything. And then make a hidden metal base. Theres your beginners guide.
Like you and your wife on different consoles? You can rent nitrado servers that act like official but you can change the settings to your liking, its like $13 US dollars for a month and $38 for 3months
Im gonna be honeat the best way to do what you are trying to do is find an unofficial server that has good admins and a friendly player base. That is the easiest/cheapest way
Yeh true that woukd be fun and good but itd also based off of ancient stuff mostly and old stuff I think it would be cool if there were certain servers where there was advanced stuff
Lets be honest the only people this video is gonna help is new players any player that has hit lvl 90 should know all of this. Make a video that involves actual grinding tricks, metas ect. Great video structure and commentary tho

not bad, would've also included taming and using dimetrodons as portable air cons to hatch eggs with, they are invaluable and dont require power etc.

Why would u grind bps on island? Drops on ext missions on gen desert drops on se n rag. far easier and more profitable over all.
