Pia's reactions are so wholesome because she's so honest. If she doesn't like something you know it and when you played that B4 move her joy was truly infectious! Your relationship with your parents is another very inspiring part of your content. I love it!
i think pia can see that anna has made some real improvements... she can tell which were the key winning moves and was pleasantly surprised that anna found them too.
So true !
That right there, I hope I will still be as passionate as Pia when I'm her age. They are so amazing, the love that they have for chess, I can only imagine what it's like to have one single unifying passion in a family, must be really unique to grow up in a household where both mom and dad are grandmasters...
The most impressive aspect of her honesty, is that every game she enters, her opponent has a quick and in-depth account of her thought process. She plays at a disadvantage every game because her opponent not only knows her habits but how decides her moves. She is also very open to discuss her weaknesses. I believe this opponent wanted "get in her head" and rattle her a bit and pressure her on time. But it backfired.
She's a really nice kid.
It must feel so nice having this passion in common with your parents ❤
And seeing just how proud your mom is of your prowess! No wonder Anna is smiling from ear to ear. Truly amazing.
I bet it is a lot of pressure too though
@@rein_engelnot really, atleast not her family
You can see they are really supportive
@@rein_engelThere is no pressure in her family. Just joy and love.
@@NichtWunderkind Talking about the internal pressure of course
Well done Anna. You’re an inspiration to a 75 year old beginner.
is your surename turk?
Wow you started very early
@@endertrkz6822 yes
And you are an inspiration to a 49 year old beginner!😊
Me too, 1948 was a good year for birthing chess players..... to start in 75 years! Lol.
Well done Anna! Your mum’s reactions are so heart warming, it’s lovely to see how proud she is!
This is possibly my favourite video from Anna, partly because of her mom's reactions, and partly because she generally sticks to the game's analysis.
They were my favourite part.
Your mom's reactions make me so happy, her pride in you brings a tear to my eye ❤
Mom's reactions are equally entertaining when she is not happy. : )
Ok, I fell down a TH-cam rabbit hole watching 'one' of your videos about 24 hours ago. I was actually waiting for you to post this, and I am one of the first to see it. I haven't played chess since I made a chess board in shop class in seventh grade (about 1977ish). I just got done watching a video about pawn end games. I just WHAT?!?!? You are a tremendous ambassador for the game.
she truly is a shining star in the chess community
cool. I also made a chess board in shop class. Mine was hexagonal for a three player version of chess. But i never actually played a game on it!
your mother getting so hyped is the funniest thing ive seen today
I loved the mom reactions...the second best thing about this game.
But the absolute best thing I loved was your ability to find the right moves...despite his blitzing out moves early while you was burning time to find your moves...to you getting the upper hand as play continued. Bravo!
The streams where Pia comments the games are so next level. Best format I’ve watched on Twitch all year. That joy & excitement when Anna finds the best moves. The anxiety around time control. Overall a true 💯 experience
Anna! Great Round No. 4 Victory!! Well thought out and “well deserved” is right! Forward and onward to Round No. 5 Victory!!! ❤
Once again, all the other games had finished already. (Anna was made to smile 4 Us)
These tournament video's are super nice to watch! Also love the added reactions of Pia for the nice moments❤
Congratulations on your results thus far! I’m watching your live Sunday game right now. Such a great idea to use Pia’s commentary in these main channel recaps as well. Please use more of that footage in your recaps!
It was so nice to watch Pia's reactions. She must be so proud
good thinking, anna! and there is a lesson this game taught us: to not doubt ourselves in a chess game. seeing how your opponent kept playing with a worse position, and how that sometimes made you confused - for thinking u were worse or better at times - showed another challenging thing about tournaments... if we can see an engine bar on the screen {non-stop analyzing} it almost looked easy. however, in person with your mind and human brain only, it is difficult to figure whether your position is good or bad, plus calculating moves is hard, and not to mention him playing fast {with a lot of ‘confidence’} is another factor.
so it is super nice that u share your thoughts throughout the game with us! this was a very interesting perspective. well deserved!
also there were many many variations from the beggining/opening- and u didn’t get scared abt
Pia's reaction after you play b4 is so wholesome and so honest. It's really inspiring to see how supportive your parents are and how proud they are of you ❤
Also it was a really good game! I think you have many chances of winning this tournament! Keep it up!!
I love these match replays, very fun and informative. Nice touch adding your mom's reactions. Good luck in the coming matches!
it’s so cute to see your mother’s reaction to the game!
This is the exact reaction my mom makes when I take out the trash…
Her passion is contagious. Such a wonderful person to follow.
Great idea to add your mom's reaction to your recaps! 👍🥰
hahaha your mom's reaction is everything! she was so proud you actually found the best move in less than 40 mins 😂
🙄
I love your videos, and seeing your mom get so excited for you is the sweetest thing. You guys are awesome.
Bravo! 🎉 Thrilled to follow your progress in Stockholm. These are by far the most entertaining chess videos I have ever seen. The whole personal setup and comitment with Pia's analysis and your teamwork is amazing. Streams like this will surely contribute to the growth of chess in the next geneneration.
18:36 I do Love cutting to Pia's Insight/hosting cam, how ever breif they might be 🥺👏🏽👍🏽
Pia's enthusiasm is as contagious as Anna's smile. ❤
Loved your mom’s reaction, but your excitement telling us about the match and ultimate victory was a joy to see. Best of luck in the next match
So heartwarming to see how happy your mom was with your performance… well done.
I watched your mother's commentary and it was so much fun! You winning was a lot of fun, too 😉
Seems to me that you've levelled up 😁 Cheering for you all the way!
Very well done Anna!
That seemed to be a brilliant game by you from start to finish.
I hope you can keep it up!
Best wishes for today's game!
This is an opening I play regularly, so I really appreciate you going closely through the opening moves. I will often play Benoni with Black too, so this is really relevant to my games!
Good luck! Love to watch you play, your energy is amazing. You can do this, I want to see you win the tournament! Your GM mom reaction was heartwarming. I thought she would bust with pride.
I'm delighted to see you still smiling every time, and that you finished the year in style. Victory suits you so well. Happy New Year to you and your family, I hope you continue on this path.
That is an amazingly well played win. What a journey so far and best of luck for tomorrow!
The footage of Mom is priceless.
Loved seeing your mom thoroughly enjoy your choices! Your analysis is always so great because it's clear and you're passionate.
I'm rooting for you to win all the matches in this chess tournament, Anna! But know that even if you lose, you'll still be the most amazing player to me! For your effort, your talent, your simplicity, and humility, for your charisma and respect towards all opponents. Usually, players seek victory by overcoming the opponent, but you seek victory by surpassing yourself, and that's inspiring! Good luck, and thank you for sharing all this experience with us!
Brilliant innovative moves when the game did not go as expected.
Great job Anna! I Love the enthusiasm. Good luck today!!!🤞🤞🤞
Congratulations Anna, so proud of you, you did a great joy to your Mother, nothing more important than it
I have not played chess in a very long time. Your smile and enthusiasm really have rekindled a light in me. I forgot how much I missed the game. I have to say the way you explain things is refreshing. I am able to understand the process and how you got to a certain position in the natch. Thank you so very much.
Standings: at 4½ points, she is sharing first place with 2156 rated Jung Hyun Seo from Sweden.
Congratulations Anna on the beautiful well-played game! Yes get some rest and best of luck on tomorrow's game! 🙂
Your mom's reaction is priceless! Congrats Anna!
I admire and respect your drive, positivity and willingness to be an ambassador for the game.
Your mum being so happy about you finding the great moves is just adorable. Great game too, hope it continues!
This was amazing!!! Thank you so much for sharing. It makes me so happy to see you play ❤
Anna I won't wish you luck because your wins are from hard work. It was beautiful to watch your pieces working in perfect harmony. Thanks for sharing and the positivity as a chess ambassador.🍓
Awesome game, mom's reaction was priceless! What a beautiful moment! Good luck on your next game!
I’m so impressed not only with Anna’s play in the game but with her willingness to be so very open about her thought processes and emotions. Bravo Anna and congratulations! 👏🏻😊👍🏻
Good luck if the game isn't already over. Would like to see standings - there can't be that many people ahead of you now. Love the long, slow conversions.
Anna you're taking this so well and we have connected SO MUCH more to you now because it's just this concept we have that good players don't lose! But seeing you tells us that it doesn't determine how good or bad you are! This is more valuable than seeing you winning every game.
Yet, I must say that I would dig deep inside and ask myself what are the subconscious emotional reasons for not soaring past this? This is where this is coming from. And it will give you insight and most possibly help you move past this block
Either way you're amazing and this has turned me into a TRUE fan!!!🎉🎉🎉
Hi there! I’m following all your games live with your mum and I’m enjoying it a lot thx for all and, of course, best of luck. I wish you had some time on these recap videos to talk a bit more about the rest of the players: who are the ones on top, who you see as your toughest opponents, something about the most promising kids ( I see a lot of 11-13yo players), about Julia and who she’s playing…. Thx for considering it!
* about Julia and HOW she is playing *
Your videos that show your thinking and possible moves are a great teacher.
Seeing your explanation of this game made me feel very happy. I agree your win was beautiful. Well done and thank you.
Well done - love your enthusiasm and your mums reactions too. Keep it up
I'm routing for you Anna on all your tournaments this year. Loving these recap videos. Learning a lot from you. Good Luck.
Fantastic, lovely reactions from your Mum.Well done!
Congratulations Anna! Love watching your game evolve and grow. Less overthinking on this one. Your one 20 minute study period seemed to yield many benefits. Your opponent was a class act being willing to discuss the game and being so supportive of your play..
I am learning so much from these videos. Thank you Anna!
I watched some of the live stream video, and one thing is obvious Anna, you are a great competitor! It seems as though your opponent was more focused on getting you into time trouble, while you were focused on the full complexity of the position. That was a much deserved win. Good luck the rest of the way!
Congratulations!
That was great that your king was so far down the board like that!
Your mother was so proud of how well you played!
Congratulatión Anna, Very well played
Never heard of en passant. I was so confused until I looked it up. Thanks for explaining so much of your process. Im constantly learning from your videos.
Congratulations on the victory!
Keep up the good work Anna!
Also, your mom's reactions are very funny ( in a good way ) and it's lovely to see how much she supports you. I imagine both of your parents are very happy that not only do you play chess, but are very good at it too :)
And you'll get even better I'm sure.
You make me tear up when you show your mom's reactions to your best moves. Your family is just amazing.
Great following this on New Year's Eve, from Port Edward, South Africa. Very educational and a great show!
Anna!……I LOVED YOUR MOTHER’S REACTIONS!!💕……PLEASE include her more often in future games!!🙏 And you played a terrific game!!👏👏 (specially when taking in consideration time issues!!). Well done!!🙌👏👏💕
Love the comments from your mom. It adds a lot of fun
6:49 this is the most wholesome shit ive seen all year
You are getting better and better, not only as a player but as a content maker, analyzer, and game commentator; for that, you deserve appreciation. Good job! I hope we'll have the pleasure of enjoying your content and fun streams for a long time!
The clip with Pia's reaction is priceless
Very exciting to watch. Congratulations on your win Anna!
Anna...that was fantastic! Yeh, he started with what looked like cunnung attack, but your middle/end game floored him. It was like he didn't see what was coming but also had no plan.
Brilliant! Such a good game to watch.
Didn't see it live but saw your mom's video - excellent!
Best of luck on New Year's Eve! 😊👍
i have been watching you for 4 years,, one of your best performances, considering the tournament you are competing in
Appreciate your explanation of the game and the reasoning behind moves
Let's go Anna ! Love from France (you should do more stuff with Blitzstream)
Great analysis, best wishes on otb, Happy New Year!
Winning or not.. Im Just proud of you how much afford you put into chess and how much fun you have. And I love to see how proud your mom is to you. :)
Love you Anna!
Congrats, Anna! So happy for you. Beautiful game and best of luck tomorrow! 🙏
Once again, great commentary that sends me scrambling to look up the names of openings. )) Thank you so much, really. I love it that you so know your stuff. ))
love the reactions from both you and your mom
Benko gambit. Black loves the have open files on the queenside, a fichetto black bishop and trading the lights.
My father taught me to play chess when I was a boy. But he could never have taught me to play how you do. This is just so inspiring to watch and your strategy explanations are like someone just turned on the lights for me.
The excitement you have for chess has gotten me into playing. Thank you. Happy new year 🎉 good luck in tournament
You had a blazer! You can’t loose! 😄 Cool turn around there, Anna. Well played and very impressive! Lycka till med Rilton!
Yes Anna, I have been following your for 2 years now! It’s been a pleasure seeing you grow! Keep it up!!! Sending love from ENGLAND would love to play a game some time!
What a beautiful game.
You made so many strong moves which were not easy to see.
Your mom would love and be proud of you even if you had missed the crushing moves. But it was a joy to see her realize that you are now seeing the great moves much more often. Sometimes by thinking very hard, sometimes just by instinctively seeing them, calculating the crushing line, and not needing to consider other lines when you find one crushing line.
I think I will step through this game with an engine, and see whether any of the alternative moves I probably would have made, were any good. For instance, around when you did Qh5+, which I considered but was leaning against doing, I was considering a pawn sac with b6 followed by Bb5+ to get that bishop into the fight while looking to boot his knight also.
It is OK to do the "Anna Cramling thing" using a dangerous amount of time, when you do find the crushing line. Yet, please keep working on choosing when that is wise or unwise to try, because there will be times when you don't find a great move (often because it doesn't exist at that moment) and you will miss finding great moves later, due to lack of time.
Sometimes, you need to just keep the time fairly even, while surviving until a number of small inaccuracies by an opponent, create an opportunity for you 5 or 6 moves later to find a way to exploit that.
We all want to absolutely control the game at every moment, but we are human and all make inaccurate moves. Statistically, against an equal opponent, it is a coin flip whether we or they will be more inaccurate over the next (choose any number of) moves. If we spend time debating between almost equal moves when no superior move is there, we guarantee that they have more time for the next several moves, and it is no longer a coin flip as to who will be more inaccurate, we usually will be.
I struggle with this myself. Hindsight is 20/20 in any particular game, wishing we'd spent more time on move 19 rather than move 14 or whatever. Luckily, opponents are human also. Survive for enough moves for them to make some mistakes.
Man I love u guys so much, your family is so awesome, so happy I found such a great channel. Congratulations on your win, and hope you continue to do well in your tournament 😁
Tremendous! I loved the way you linked your rooks together. You had the initiative and he deserved to get mated!
Well done Anna! I've never played a game in my life but love your videos and watching you get better. All the best for the tournament! Looking for a "I won! I won" video next :) P.S. Your mum looks so proud.
Also...WOW! How great to actually GET a checkmate! They are really exciting when one starts out in chess, and generally, because they give a sense of satisfaction for the winner. In high level professional chess, so many resignations...which are just a cop-out.
Great game by both players. Nice sportsmanship by Peter.
Woohoo! HalleluYAH! Gratulerer masse Anna! Was so informative as well to learn from this game, gonna save this for further study. Thank you again.
Beautiful win assisted by King. We are proud for you 🎉🎉 happy new year and good luck with your early game tomorrow. Greetings from Belgium
Grattis Anna!
Una partida muy interesante. Feliz 2024.
I keep refreshing to see if the round 5 video is out 😂 I’m loving the series!
15:43 was a magical moment. Something lit up on the inside
Such a gracious winner. Your calculation is masterful!
I really like your videos with the Botez sisters and Dina etc... I really like your videos with your parents. I really like your travel videos where you challenge strangers and spread the word of Chess to all. But.... these are by far my favorite videos you make!! I absolutely LOVE when you recap, while maintaining the suspense, and explain the thoughts and strategies behind every move! It is entertaining, educational and inspirational! Thank you 😊
