Just started playing a month ago and this video has helped me more than any other. Thank you! I really like the way you explain things. Talking slower and showing each option is great for a beginner like me.
As a brand new chess player I have been looking for a slower paced explanation of games being played. This will help me tremendously in putting the fundamentals I have learned into action much more effectively. This is the best teaching I have found so far. ❤❤❤❤❤
New to your videos and I have to admit I’ve had a big smile on my face for most of this video. It’s super inspiring and helpful watching you calmly find solutions I still can’t see on my own!
Keep these videos coming! Your detailed explanation about your thought process is really helpful for us beginners. This has to be the best channel for low elo players like me. ❤
I am really appreciating the detail in your videos. I'm a beginner (my rating is 412!) and I keep making blunders and mistakes, even when I think I've thought things through thoroughly. A lot of the other creators I've been watching go too quickly through the moves for me to really grasp the concepts/principles. You don't do that, even though it's clear you could win very quickly, you still go through all the steps and possible move sequences. Thank you ❤️
Now imagine how you'd feel if he just swung through, faced you, and stomped on your face in 5 turns during this Smurf run. He harms the game by doing this shit.
You're far better at explaining the game and its principals simply enough for beginners to grasp. I tried the Gotham guy and he's just a show-off with his blatant display of chess knowledge and ends up confusing more than explaining. Subscribed.
I cant wait for the next video, I've quickly boosted myself by 200 points from 300s to 500s but for the past month I've just been straight up stuck at 580s-610s range and i have no idea how to progress from that

Don’t know if you’ll get this but thank you very much for this video! Ive never actually studied chess before but recently I was presented with a video of Magnus Carlsen World Championship chess matches and now I got motivated to play more competitively. You took my game from 1003 to 1263 just today! (Rapid 30min games only!) this seriously opened my mind to different positionings, like the London (my favorite right now) and to other option like the bishops to g2,g7,b2,b7. Can’t remember what it’s called but I used it in at least 2 of the four games.! And just watching you play and explaining how you think, mostly, has made my game way different. I’m far more open-minded to the possibilities I have. I still have a hard time considering what my opponent is trying to attempt to do and I’m not brave enough to make power players for pawns, yet (lol), but my game has seriously improved! Thank you! P.s. maybe I’ll take the time to learn and try a ‘gambit’

I love how instructive the video is, really good job. You going through the moves very smoothly. With that being said, id be going mad if i had to play someone like you at 500 elo 🤣🤣
My absolute favorite thing is your position at :34. Move the Knight H4, then if they don't block check with the Queen. 99% of the time they block with pawn. Take that pawn with the Knight, and you have a beautiful double attack on the Rook. If the pawn takes the knight, Queen takes the Rook, if the y don't, discovered check when the Knight takes the Rook. You can cave in the entire side of their line.
In the last game, when you moved Kh1, your opponent missed a knight fork. You also missed a devastating one at about the 22 minute mark - you found a similar one after they’d moved their queen, but you could have had it a move or two earlier.

@25:25 there was a nice knight fork checking the king and winning the queen there
My absolute favorite thing is your position at :34.
4:03 QG5, hit 2 pieces, first the rook. then bishop if bishop takes rook. prevents the white queen from going to H5 and the Q/R fork.

Language is a tool not only we use to communicate but also to think. The comments you make on positions and moves are what make you a better opponent.
In the last game, when you moved Kh1, your opponent missed a knight fork. You also missed a devastating one at about the 22 minute mark - you found a similar one after they’d moved their queen, but you could have had it a move or two earlier.

1:18 my guess would be their queen side knight. if he moves it to c6, it would threaten e5 meaning your queen couldnt fork.
