Time lapse from beginning to end of the construction of my new shop, starting from clearing and leveling through initial electrical. This vantage point is from the front side.
@@TheRainHarvester Yup, that's in the plan too! Already have it guttered. Would just have to run pipes to a tank down the hill. Gonna wait until PVC prices come back down though!
@@lordbeowulf1885 cool! if you keep the tank up hill, you might not need a pump (I use only gravity). I put tanks uphill to be sure to grab lots of water and it can trickle to more tanks downhill (i use a half inch / cheaper polyline to transfer downhill over a day so air lock is an issue.) Air lock is a real thing. Don't put any local maximums on the way to your downhill tank. It's disappointing when you miss out on the harvest! :-)
This was a Mueller welded building. I was going to go with an engineered kit, but since I was hiring a contractor to assemble it, it was cheaper to go with the welded. Cost a bit more to assemble, but much less for the materials. I'd checked a lot of other metal building suppliers (some of which are pretty shady) and Mueller had the best price in addition to be a known reputable company with local offices. Note I did catch them when they had a sale running, but I'm sure they'll run more. If you're in the Hill Country, then I'd recommend Buck's Construction Company who assembled mine.
Nice. Now I can't wait to see the 100KW of solar installed :-)
Definitely on the list as an "eventually", but it may be a while!
@@lordbeowulf1885 and rain water! You could collect a LOT off that roof.
