    Hello Sarah
Hoop nie jy gee om dat ek Afrikaans praat, maar na my man se dood praat ek nooit Afrikaans in Engeland.
Jou nuutste vollengte romp is pragtig en ek dink nie jy moet iets verander.
Vollengte rompe laat kort mense langer lyk.
    Liefde daar.

Sarah, your skirt is lovely. I laughed because we always point out all the "mistakes" like most women and crafters! Why do we do that?! If you didn't say anything, I would have never noticed the cherries are sideways. As I age, I am trying to be kinder to myself. Now I tell everyone that those "mistakes" prove that it is handmade and my signature! You do LOVELY work and please don't shortchange your talents! Oh, the green portion of a flower is the stem and the tool to rip out stitches is called a seam ripper in English. Thank you for sharing your daily life with us. It's like chatting with a friend :)

Hello Sarah, your 70s skirt is lovely. Do not worry about cotton being a bit stiff in the beginning, it only means it is good quality and it will soon soften, the more you wear it and wash it.

Try taking pockets off carefully with a sewing seam ribber, then resew pockets on skirt button side. You can do this on a newer garment as it shouldn’t have any fading of the fabric. Just a suggestion, good luck. A friend from San Francisco Bay Area, CA USA.

oh, Sarah, I love the sweet little cactus projects! I had a thought about the round one with the pink (salmon? coral?) flower: use a button (your famous extra one? ;) to secure it with a little length of yarn through the drain hole. Maybe that would make it wobble, though...You inspire creative thinking regardless! 🤎🌵

When you say wooly tattoos do you mean embroidery? I mean do you know that and that's 'Sarah's word' for it. I think you are such a lovely person and I look forward to Aug. Enjoy your break. OK back to the video... Oh wait, you're my friend too! I am in TN in the US but would be thrilled to be your neighbor!

End of flower in English is called the (stem). Love the vest pattern needs to be in English! Maybe the designer will write the pattern in English so we can knit one. Thank you for all you do. As someone said (we are friends). Hello from your San Francisco Bay Area, CA USA, friend.

Also, do you mean the stem of the flower? The long straight part where the leaves and flower come from? And OMG. You are 20 years younger than I am! I feel so old..... I'm short also, around 157 cm? Is that how you measure? Do you have to shorten your skirts all the time? The ones you have purchased as opposed to making? I was wondering, since I always have the shortness issue. You look great in that floor length skirt!

So happy to see that sewing is giving you joy! I love sewing, knitting and crochet, especially sewing as it can bring such quick results. Your skirt is adorable and useful-those pockets! I often baste a seam before sewing it which allows me to be sure it’s where I want it. I usually just use the longest machine stitch without backstitching either end. That way I can simply pull out the basting thread when I’m finished. xo

In Germany we used to have the same tradition when it came to marriýing - like until about 30-40 years ago girls collected everything you neede for their own household like bedsheets, plates, cuttlery, cups, glasses etc So when they got married they had evereything they needed for their household or at least most things. In German it is called "Aussteuer"

Would you please be able to film a little bit more of doing the drop stitch next time? I'm a very visual learner and I was following your method, not tutorial, when you should us but I could use seeing a bit more of it so I can get the hang of the rhythm of the stitches together. I can't do that rewinding each time. Thank you! ❣️💙🙏

Your skirt is beautiful, it looks so free and easy to wear. When I got married in 1968 it was the custom here in the UK to buy home items for your 'bottom drawer'. Each month I would buy a small household item or make a pillow case or table napkin so that there were things to start furnishing my new home with my husband.🇬🇧

I think it is perfect the way it is wider at the second and third tiers….we pronounce like tear from your eye😢 when you cry. I am looking forward to seeing your new fabrics and yarn that you ordered. I purchased some yarn from Wool Wearhouse for the very first time, and am excited to get it, too. We have a UPS driver that is very handsome. 😊 We call him eye candy….ha ha ha. Also, when you’re in a skirt you are ready for anything - you can go out to a restaurant or just a walk in the park. You are so inspiring every time I watch you. In the US, when you save items for your married life, people used to put them in a chest and called it a "hope chest". Not very many people do that anymore, but they still collect items they need to start their married life with. Although many people also get things like that at wedding showers, a party before the wedding to supply the couple with basic items.
