Hi Ed! Glad to see you back after the 2 week absence. I believe the nets that surround the flight deck are safety nets and would be in the lowered position as you have them during flight operations. When the helicopter is either away or stowed then they can be folded to an upright position. My USS Curtis Wilbur has them around the deck as well. The rope surrounding the large net was a cool idea and this area of the ship is looking great! Awesome work to far! I'd love to see a picture of the whole thing to this point.
