For the HMS HOOD ship wreck I used the FlyHawk model at 1/700 scale.
For the air bubbles I used cotton.
For the illumination I used two 3V Led flickering lights
I painted with Vallejo Air Acrylic colors

I didn't know you used a rubber ball as a reinforcement support for the smoke. Now that is a surprise.😱😁😁😁
I know I enjoyed watching the process this was the request I asked last year and it is finally finished thank you so much Micheal 😊😊😊.
I certainly hope raise the titanic will be next or ss American star wreck Diorama or whatever you have in my mind to do next. Oh what the heck your such a good builder surprise me.
Bismarck destroyed the hood with just one armored piercing shell which was enough to blow up 💥 her magazine and slaughter 1,418 men only 3 men survived one of them was a 18 year old single men named tedd Briggs who even described the whole battle, sinking, and where he was when the ship disappeared he said he was 50 yards away from the bow seeing jutted upward in the air and he said he looked around again she was gone there was only fire 🔥 on the water 💦🌊 where she was. He was heart broken 💔 when he realized his crew were dead and this was a murder that the Bismarck committed that had to be avenged. Tedd Briggs died in 2009 as the last hood survivor and the wreck was found where she sank in the Denmark straight laying in 3 pieces and almost twisted and inverted or up side down the horrors of it's final battle.
The only thing I wish could change about this masterpiece is it being large enough to show the other half of the hull in it's descent! Magnificent as always!

I saw some comments mentioning the inclusion of the broken off stern section, and while I agree, it's certainly not a deal-breaker regarding loving this awesome build.
The one detail that I would have added, other than the stern's inclusion, would be to throw in the defiant firing of both of A-turret's barrels as she slid under the surface of the water. No one really knows what caused those guns to fire just then, as the turret crews might very well have been killed already by internal explosions before this happened, those explosions possibly setting off the powder bags already loaded into their breaches by the doomed, heroic gunners, but the scrappy Anglophile in me chooses to believe that trapped sailors, realizing their coming fate as the ship tilted backwards near to 90 degrees beneath their feet chose to expend their loaded rounds in the general direction of the enemy before the sea claimed their elegant, steel coffin. That both barrels fired at once lends more credence to the turret fire theory than the heroic last stand theory, but maybe there were TWO gunner's mates with their well-trained fingers on the triggers who sent the Hood's last two shots in anger downrange with impeccable simultaneous timing rather than uncontrollable internal fires coercing the packed breaches to let loose with a final voice of defiance.
That's one of those historical notions that it hurts nothing to believe. And it honors the brave young men who were robbed of their one chance to show the dreaded German behemoth what for in true Royal Navy fashion.
The stirring mystery of those final shots deserves to be acknowledged. Just my opinion.
But regardless, I'll say again, excellent work! Truly inspiring to all us modelers and crafters. Well done! 👍🏻🇬🇧🫡❤️🔥

Sadly there were only 3 survivors the last survivor passed away in 2006 his name I believe was Bill Briggs. RIP and tthank you for your service you are now with your shipmates once again from America. great work.

This is really an incredible work. I cannot imagine, how many hours were put into this, simply breathtaking. Only thing I don't get is that black boulder or smoke?

The detail is amazing. I like the bubbles and smoke, as well as the LEDs, they realy add realism.
HOOD sinking was something that could be expected---it's a risk ships take after all---but it was, as Drachinifel put it, "blowing up like the worst horrors of Jutland" that was unthinkable tor the British public.
Drach has a very good video on Operation Rheine.

Before the pride of the royal navy sank her gun crews managed to fire one more shot until she sank but the three survivors must have been some of the luckiest people ever

@@neptuneball2401 those men must have been lucky considering the entire ship was split in half and sank so quick and sadly among those three holland wasn’t one of them he went down with his flag ship

This is really amazing! I wish I had enough room available to create some dioramas for my Bismarck, Hood and Scharnhorst models as they just sail on the water. They are all 3 in 1:200 scale.
As a Brit this is bittersweet but great model
As the hms hood sunk the A turrut fired one last shot before sinking below the waves it would be cool if that was included along with the stern of the ship other then that looks absolutely sensational

Great conception and execution. I’m sorry to say that Hood’s decks were gray and she was painted dark gray below the waterline.

I love this content. It has recently been popping up on my fyp sometimes but its been so long since I watched the previous diorama (like a year type long) anyway what have you been up to in life, not much for me; I just started IGSCE I am doing history, psychology, physics, chemistry and biology apart from that my life hasn't changed
i think....if i'm right the HMS Hood fired of one last salvo as she went down. other wise a really great project, can't wait for the next one.

Why do you use silicon for the smoke? Paint tends to not bond on silicon.

Flyhawk model. Those kits are expensive but the detail is amazing at that small scale

@@ravensfootball52 the enormous explosion 💥 that destroyed hood was a result of a guizer of flame 🔥 that shot out at her main mast that was triggered by the gun powder in her magazine that cause both sections of the ship to jut upward almost instantaneously and sink in seconds
The fountain of flame 🔥 and explosion 💥 was described as light giant roman candle 🕯️ burning in an enclosed space called deflagration.
Only 3 survived.

@@4THECRAFT that is going to be pretty difficult to find pictures of the hood wreck. Believe me I searched myself once and there's hardly any photos at all of her wreckage many a ghostly bow view of the forward section but sonar imaging depicts the ship in 3 pieces as a result of hitting the bottom of the ocean and some of the ship almost upsidedown to.
