    One of the best sounding pickups in the metal marketplace! Cheers

    Finally a demo with some groove to it! I was looking for thrashy, this is perfect..I hate that 99% of the videos are djent.

      Yea i think its because meshuggah is famously swearing by these pickups. But so does Aeon nowadays(brutal death metal band) and iam thinking of getting some for my 8 string blackened death project. People on the internet nowadays seem to forget that there is more to lundgren pickups(or 8 string for that matter) than djent.

    Thanks for including the DI tracks here and with the L500XL demo as well. Very helpful. Great demo too.

    Thanks for this video. Exactly what I needed to make my decision. These are the type of riffs I like to play and the dual rec sound I like so the m6 will be great!

      patrick gallant Both are worth the price of admission, but I’d honestly go for the M6. The price tag is a little higher, but I think you get what you pay for, particularly where clarity and sustain is concerned, but then that’s just me.

    Mind sharing your settings? I need ideas (not to copy but to try out and get some new tone inspiration on my 2-channel Triple)

    • @NumbskullAudioProduction
      @NumbskullAudioProduction  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      As a general rule I tend to have the bass at about 9 o'clock, mids 11 o'clock, treble at noon. Presence at noon too, but that's only because they voiced it slightly differently on the newer Rectos. On yours you want it at around 9 o'clock. Gain dialled in depending on your playing of course, and this is all with a tube screamer out front, with the drive on 0, level all the way up, and treble in the middle. Cheers!

    • @AJMTLXVX
      @AJMTLXVX 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also I will have to note: pickups and the guitar itself will have a BIG effect on your tone with the Triple Rectifier, it's a very sensitive amp. My favourite pickup for a fat aggressive and tight sound (in basswood Ibanez RG models) is the Dimarzio Super 3 in the bridge position, which is a classic death metal pickup. I have not tried Lundgren so it might work well too but for now I'm satisfied with the Super 3.

      Hey dude! Thanks! I do, but not music like this unfortunately haha. I do love me some death metal, but the music I'm putting out is more grungy/proggy hard rock. Check out facebook.com/crowbornmetal. Cheers!

    • @NumbskullAudioProduction
      @NumbskullAudioProduction  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmm, I'm not sure what to suggest from Dimarzio's line... It's very hot and very bright, so I'd look at something like the X2n, or maybe the D'Activator-X. They're both very high output, the D'Activator-X being the brightest of the two, so I'd start there. I hope that helps!

      @JohnnyRaven69 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is this good pickup for Drop C tuning playing big chords and epic rhythm riffing? :) Is it worth for money? I'm thinking Black Winters or Pegasus, but this sounds just awesome. :)

    • @NumbskullAudioProduction
      @NumbskullAudioProduction  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not convinced it's worth the money, honestly... They are incredibly expensive. But they are great. And yes, it will handle any tunings (Meshuggah use theirs for Bb on their 7 strings, and F on their 8s!)
