I work in Nashville and have dined at Audrey everal times and the food and hospitality never dissapoints. I just dined at June and it takes the experience to another level altogether. Astaoundoing is all I can say. Get there if you can !
Ate here, party of 12, for my dad’s birthday last night. I had already seen this review, and my daughter Audrey and I were both pleasantly surprised when we learned we’d be “feasting” there. Some of the apps were a little underwhelming but the pork loin/shoulder and roast chicken were amazing. Also best Brusselsprouts I have ever had and I always get them at fancy places. Thanks again for the review and keep it up, my friend!
I live in Nashville and have eaten at every current Sean Brock restaurant and if I’m being honest, the food is somewhat hit or miss. That said, it’s definitely more hit than miss and I probably have some bias because we have constant access to great Appalachian food here and especially in East TN at BlackBerry Farm. But, the aesthetics and service at Audrey and June are always next level. Sean not only has a talent for food but his space conceptualization is phenomenal. Proud to have him call our fine city home.
@@Jamesnu His crust burger at Joyland is awesome. Suggest it highly. Also, the next time you're in Nashville, you have to go to Locust. It's the best restaurant in the entire southeast. Run by a former Noma chef and it's INSANELY good.
I agree ….. I wasn’t blown away by the whole meal …. That country ham is off the charts though and our drinks were outstanding…. That said the kitchen crew was gross and the kitchen was visibly dirty
I know Sean Brock. I lived in Charleston for 20 years. He was the chef at McCrady’s best steak house I was ever at, then went on to open Husk on Queen Street next to 82 Queen, a sort of commander's place type place, a grand dame. Back to Sean: I spent some time with him on his pig farm on Johns Island. He was from Mars.

That looks more like a crumble than a cobbler to me, but it appears that is another difference between UK and US usage - a cobbler over here has scone-like topping, often in individual circles that partly join together during cooking.
