    I was staggered when the 8010 was shown on a John Deere day film, this is light years beyond in every way!!

      Gotta feel for the poor tileplow, even tho its only pulling 4" tile.

    Back in the 70s and 80s we put in miles and miles of drainage tile using an open ditch wheel trencher. Needless to say it didn't go this quickly and easily. I also noticed the satellite globe on the trencher. How great that is to not only be able to put in drain tile with that level of precision but I'm sure also allows for precision mapping for whatever the future may hold! Consider my mind blown 🤯! Thanks so much for sharing! Oh yeah, that tractor is pretty cool, too! 😂

    That is a huge tractor. Your drone shot over the hood into the cab, the operator looked so small and the hood so huge. I think you need a team of men just to open the hood! Great Vid!

    Mike do you know of any farmers that have ordered one of these bigger 9RX models? Someone that you normally film? Also did they pull any tillage implement while they had this one?

    • @farmhandmike

    • @armchairgeneral7557
      @armchairgeneral7557 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh man, I would love to see footage of this tractor pulling a ripper. I think a 13 shank ripper has been struggle for even 640 hp tractors to pull deep. I bet this would have no problem. I wonder if a 15 shank ripper will be produced now?

    • @armchairgeneral7557
      @armchairgeneral7557 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Now I think about it, I believe the 830 was pulling a 13 shank at farm progress. And it pulled it at pretty good speed.

    I obviously don't have it in my budget to buy one of these, but I heard from a guy smarter than me that the four wheel drive track tractors are some of the least efficient machines on transferring power. Any insight on this?

    I’m all for improving fields, but all this tiling speeds up the flow of water. Farmers should be responsible for the damage the water does when it leaves their fields. It’s easy to get the water out quickly so you don’t deal with it. But it really does damage to other peoples property.

    • @farmhandmike
      @farmhandmike  หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I have never heard this before. Could you explain the damage it does?

    • @wyomingguy4743
      @wyomingguy4743 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@farmhandmike I guess the concern would be if there is increased speed in runoff on a large enough scale. When the land doesn’t absorb water and hold it then it’s going somewhere. If you add the area of multiple states together it could add up eventually making it to lakes and rivers. Flash floods happen in the west because there is no soil. There may be other consequences we are ignoring.

    • @matthewestep6071
      @matthewestep6071 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@farmhandmike The tiling speeds up the flow of the water leaving the field and causes erosion downstream be 10x worse.
      We’ve got one field that has the main waterway running through it for the area. All the surrounding flat fields get drained directly into this artery. Since the tile came in the floods are way worse. They come quick and are twice as deep.
      It’s great from the farmers on the flat fields but their gain is my loss. It’s ripping up my ground. All while there’s sit looking pretty. The damage is done to my ground not theirs. But that’s a rich farmer for ya.

      @@wyomingguy4743 Not true tile helps with absorbing water by lowering the water table in the field. Without the tile the runoff would be much worse because the soil is already full of water.
