- In this video I am out with a family farm as they harvest their 2021 corn crop using their two John Deere S780 combines with Deere 712FC corn heads (12 Row Folding/Chopping Corn Head). Running beside the combine keeping the grain moving from the combines to the trucks is their John Deere 8360R and 8430 tractor both pulling Brent 1282 track grain carts. I also got some video of this farm doing some fall tillage with their two John Deere 9620 RX tractors both pulling Deere disk rippers. I put a short clip of that equipment in this video but will be doing a separate video of that at a later date.
I've known this 4th generation family farm all my 71 years, surprised they let you video. Very accomplished but don't go for the publicity.
Getting were we need only one mega farmer in each county to farm it all
Love what you do. You show more or agricultural in America and Canada than any one else on u tube thank you
Thanks, I like to think I have one of the best mixes of agriculture on TH-cam.
I like all the videos with farming and aulture
Mike,
I totally agree that your drone work has reached a new peak !! Here’s how I know: I was over half way through the video before I realized it was all drone shots. (Update, the in cap view at 17:00 just came on). Your pacing and gently sweeping pans have become so natural one’s mind just floats along with the steady progress. You have achieved a cinematic presentation.
Awesome Mike!! I can’t wait to see more videos come our way! Keep doing what you’re doing!!
Love watching your videos awesome!!!
Drone footage at night....Have we seen that before? Great job Mike you said this Drone footage might have been some of your finest work... I agree. Happy subscriber 😊!
Yes , the best drone work to date , great farm hand Mike .
Keep up the great work on the videos. Watch them all the time.from mike in east tn.
Almost looks like a father and son that farms together to have 2 of everything
Great video Mike
Awesome corn-harvest-video!
Thanks a lot for that! 😊👍🏻
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter weekend
Great video Mike😉👍 looking forward to see the 9rx tractors working ground👍😁
Mike that was some top notch drone footage 👍 always enjoy your videos when I get a chance to watch 👍 that shot toward the end with truck and unloading the cart with sun going down was awesome 👍
great one. last clip opening a field in the dark. I'm proud to be able to not stub my toe in my own house in the dark.
keep up the great content mike much love from the south
Nice footage, good looking tractors( john deere fan).
Great video great drone shots
great video Mike 👏. is a lifelong dream to harvest corn, we can not grow corn here in Sweden only the southern parts
Wow, really great video 👍. I’m new to your site, love the content. A lot of comment about the drone footage, yes I agree, you’re certainly doing a top job of it. Looking forward to the next instalment. Regards from Down Under.
great video, nice machines :)
Good video farmhand mike
The drone work was exemplary. I can't help thinking what a high complexity/high risk activity this is. Mistakes are costly and only the most experienced operators are allowed to do this. There's a lot at stake here.
Great awesome video mike,
Great vídeo Mike.
I love it!
Not sure when you passed 100K subs but congrats Mike! That night time drone footage was cool!
You'll have to come to Converse Indiana when Mark Boyer combines sunflower fields. He presses sunflower oil
Let’s keep in touch on that. Not terribly far away from me
Healthy Hoosier oil is the name of his business
Man, you were so close to me.. next time you go through Indiana on 74 stop by the Rusted Silo at the IN39 exit, some of the best BBQ in the state!!!
Mike very nice I see thay got our class 8 S780'S wit our 712CF corn heads I wonder when thay gone upgrade to our big class 10 X9-1000 combine and class 11 X9-1100 combine
Drone footage......spot on Mike!!👍🏻Looks by the amount of equipment they run they gotta farm some serious acres? Appreciate your time and efforts 👌.
excellent camera work! Your videos are top notch!
I do have to wonder why those buggy drivers were running all over with so much load when they did not have to. Too much fuel and compaction. They didn't stop the machines though which I will bet is the number one criteria they have.
Nice video.
NOW I know where Dust comes from !!!
Nice!
this fall i drove a jd 8520 on a BRENT 1084 grain cart.
I grew up on a farm less than 1 mile from there.
14:52 had it on mute because of the music, but great shot of the volvo/white/gmc tractor pulling hopper. great drone work. headers did a good job with the trash. farmers are awesome
What was wrong with the music? If you was editing the video what would you have dome to make it better? Asking for a friend of course.
@@farmhandmike raw sound of the machines is what i take a shine to. just my opinion. they're your good videos, not mine to edit. all i would do is cut out the tunes, not a thing more. wouldn't be nothin else more could be done editing wise i reckon. best footage on the tube
@@get__some You do know the drone does not record sound? I have to match up machine sound to every drone clip and its very time consuming. Extra time is not something I have much of and using some music saves me a lot of time.
@@farmhandmike that's why i stay with your channel. i learn stuff. neither a friend or i had any idea and were under the impression all drones had a mic
@@farmhandmike your music at the 14:16 time is your best song on all your videos. So definitely don't ever cut this out and also need to know name of song please?!
Thanks for all your amazing videos. Makes me miss harvest time back in Manchester, IA 🌽🚜
HI Mike ,Did I see the trailors had "Tracks " instead of tyres . Are they self propelled behind the Deere ? Good Video
wandering if the second combine requires more maintenance based on the fact it is always running in dirty air? great video
Air filter is in the back of the combine but I would venture to say there is not much difference.
👍👍
Bravo 💪👌🆗
I see thay have our paddles discharge instead our rear straw chopper
🤙
I like Mike less videos on TH-cam, from the imperial co California.
Did they catch one of those combines on fire last fall just south of jefferson? 450 West.
Not that I know of.
Totally different farm
🇧🇷👍👍
munciT'i pentru!VOI! munciti'!
GOD bless you all'!!

Showing off their money and equipment... Big Mistake! Just shows what most Americans think... White farmers are too rich! Ask a white South American farmer how that worked out for them. They became peasants over night.
Truth of the matter - Either they pay higher taxes OR they keep in debt showing equipment loans. They spread the interest payout over a few years for deductions saving on paying taxes but have the newest machinery in their sheds worth hundreds of thousand of dollars. Then they also write off the depreciation of the equipment against taxes. So when the depreciation is totally written off they trade it in on a new machine and the cycle continues... everything to avoid paying taxes just like big business. The little farmer rarely gets any discounts on family supplies because they don't need nor can afford to buy in bulk.
I really don't understand your comment. A farm is successful and needs new and working equipment to get the job done then people say its showing off when its not. I get at least one negative comment on every video when the person commenting doesn't know anything about the situation. Ever heard the saying "things aren't always as the seem"? Well I can personally tell you I know lots of farmers that are doing multiple things besides farming. Like having another successful business off of the farm. I normally ignore comments like yours but I just thought I'd let you in on this. I know nothing about South American farming and for that reason I would not comment on a video from an area I know nothing about.
@@farmhandmike There will always be haters giving their two cents. Keep up the good work.
good stuff Mike. Quite enjoyable.
